Happy Father’s Day 2026

SHREVEPORT LA (06.21.26) Happy Father’s Day 2026 to all across the 12volt industry and beyond. Father’s Day was first celebrated in 1910 in Spokane, WA and championed by Sonora Smart Dodd to honor her Civil War veteran Father who raised six children as a single parent. Today it is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June across the United States.

My first Father’s memory began February 17, 1945. My father was a paratrooper in Germany during the World War II. My Father was a commercial artist and created the graphic below as he was writing a letter to my mother in Lincoln, NE. He actually drew this graphic on a brown paper bag as the cover of the letter he was writing to my mother after he heard that I had been born. In the graphic, on the bottom right, my Mother and Father look down at me in diapers.

A whimsical illustration featuring a soldier in uniform and a woman standing together with a child in front of them. The text humorously expresses the soldier's impatience for something to happen, emphasizing 'Something to HAPPEN' and 'WHO'S WHO!'

It’s been many years since 1945, Still all need to remember and thank their Fathers. Happy Father’s Day 2026.

Get People To Look Your Store’s Way From The Street With An Air Dancer

SHREVEPORT, LA (06.18.26) – In-store traffic is vitally important for the success of 12volt brick and mortar retailers. Across the US the reports indicate all consumer in-store traffic is down. Online sales, along with strained family budgets, are the main contributing factors.

My 12volt Central Studios 6’ tall Look My Way Air Dancer buddy can invite people into your store.

For 12volt retailers another contributing factor is the lack of consumer awareness for the wide range of automotive upgrade products available today. 12volt is not only car audio. The wide range of in-vehicle connectivity, security and safety products, along with window tint, paint protection and graphics expand the range of products available from 12volt retailers.

Advertising on television and radio is expensive. Print advertising has basically disappeared. Online visibility, along with social media, are terrific sources for 12volt retailers….committing to making engaging daily posts is critical.

Look Our Way ‘Air Dancers’ present an emerging opportunity for curbside visibility in front of 12volt retail locations. Street traffic is a constant for all brick and mortar retailers. An Air Dancer easily plugs into AC and can be placed out front of a store. The base contains a fan that blows verically to fill and make the fabric tube…..DANCE. The fabric tube disconnects from the base with Velcro. The Air Dancer can be customized and is available in various colors with heights to 20’. At the end of the day the Air Dancer is easy to take down and put inside the store for the next day.

Also speakers can be demoed individually….like just hearing the tweeters or mids”. At the event the LITENLOUD draws attention from far away as speaker wings fold outward….and then crank it up”!

Ashby has retuned to Luxury Motorsports in North Carolina and is planning the event schedule for the remainder of 2026.
