12VOLT CENTRAL STUDIOS (11.02.24) The 12volt Spin-to-Win Wheel was created to bring an element of fun to the 12volt industry. The weekly 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel is now spinning in Year 6.

The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel rolled for the 295th time on Friday morning on November 1st. The Wheel landed on the CRUX space and the Finishline Shop slip was drawn from the jar. An Instagram post of the winning spin slip was posted. A video of the Wheel spin was also posted.

We reached out to the lucky winning in Maple Shade NJ to let them know a  CRUX prize will be headed their. Had a very nice conversation with Jeremy Bloomquist who looks forward to receiving the CRUX Interfacing prize.

Sony Car Audio Presents Professional Racers in Booth at 2024 SEMA Show

LAS VEGAS, NV (11.01.24) – Sony Car Audio will host sponsored professional race car drivers Ryan Preece (NASCAR) and Dylan Hughes (Formula Drift) in their booth #10325 at the annual SEMA Show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 5th to 8th, 2024.

Preece, driver of the Stewart Haas #41 NASCAR Ford Mustang Dark Horse, and Hughes, Formula Drift driver of the Royal Purple/Permatex #129 BMW, will attend the show and sign autographs for attending fans in the Sony Car Audio booth #10325 in the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 7th, 2024.

Both drivers are avid performance car enthusiasts both on and off the track, and enthusiastic Sony Car Audio fans that use the products in their rides. The racers have been sponsored for several years and have even sported custom Sony livery.

The driver autograph signing will headline an exciting booth displaying a stunning customized 1966 Pontiac Catalina called “Big Cat,” built by longtime Sony custom show car builder John Wargo of The Custom Shop out of Flanagan, Illinois. The Catalina features a full Sony Car Audio system, showing off the Sony XAV-AX8500 and Sony GS speakers, amplifiers, and subwoofers.

A rare 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse will also debut in the booth. Owned by GoFast Solutions, Sony’s authorized car audio distributor for New England, it sports a fully OEM integrated Sony Mobile ES audio system built by B.J. Metra to Introduce New Dash Kits at SEMA 2024

HOLLY HILL, FL (11.01.24) –  Metra Electronics is launching an assortment of new audio installation solutions at the 2024 SEMA Show. These products fit a wide range of vehicles, making aftermarket sound system upgrades easy. Metra will introduce a collection of new dash kits, including a combined TurboTactile™ and TurboTouch® kit, two kits designed specifically for select Pioneer® Modular Solutions receivers, a new amplifier bypass harness, and an antenna adapter. Metra’s new dash kit for the 2011-2018.5 Jeep® Wrangler JK, the DP-6511-JK, includes a replacement dashboard panel engineered to help install a 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radio in a dash that does not typically accommodate a modern Double-DIN radio. The replacement panel allows installers to upgrade the radio without complex or labor-intensive custom fabrication. It is textured to match the original look and feel of the vehicle’s dashboard.

Metra’s new solutions for Pioneer® modular solutions receivers are exclusively manufactured to install Pioneer’s 6.8-inch modular receivers into the dash, like the DMH-WC5700NEX and the DMH-C2500NEX†. These kits will also accommodate most shallow-mount 4” tall (Double-DIN) aftermarket radios. They feature ABS trim panels to match the aftermarket radios’ finish.

The new 95-7643 dash kit designed to fit the 2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder combines the best of what Metra’s TurboTouch and TurboTactile kits offer. This kit features easy-to-use rotary knobs that allow for the control of climate functions along with a 7” touchscreen that retains most of the features typically lost when replacing the factory radio. Additional factory-style hard buttons have laser-etched graphics for access to vehicle personalization menus. Metra’s built-in patented interface technology retains climate control, safety, and steering wheel control features. The vehicle’s hazard button and passenger airbag indicator have also been integrated into the kit, which is painted scratch-resistant matte black to match the factory finish and includes installation parts needed for a Double-DIN aftermarket radio installation.

Metra is also introducing an amplifier bypass harness (70-5526) that fits select 2004-2006 Lincoln vehicles with THX® and an antenna adapter that fits select 2022-2024 Toyota vehicles (40-TY12). The amplifier bypass harness aids in installing a new car radio faster by plugging right into the vehicle’s connectors, allowing installers to hook up the radio to the vehicle’s electrical system. On one side, the wiring harness is color-coded with wires that connect or solder into the aftermarket radio/receiver. The other side has a vehicle-specific adapter that connects directly to the original radio connectors for a quicker installation without having to cut each of the wires. The antenna cable adapter ensures installers can continue using a vehicle’s factory antenna when replacing the radio.

DD Audio Replaces SS4b with SS4.3000 for More Power at a Better Price

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (11.01.24) – DD AUDIO is proud to introduce the SS4.3000, a four channel amplifier designed to power the biggest and best mids and highs, and replace the insanely popular SS4b.

At this point in late 2024, it should be abundantly clear to anyone paying attention that DD AUDIO is on a mission to reinvigorate product lines and redefine standards. The legendary equipment on which the DD brand was built is reaching unthinkable heights with each revision and replacement. For subwoofers, you have massive performance upgrades in the USA Made line and “f” revisions of the 600/700/800 Series. For speakers, it’s the fast expansion of the Voice Optimized series with new models to satisfy more power levels and frequency bandwidths. For amplifiers, there’s no better example than the SS Series, which has long been a favorite for their “Super Small” footprints, top shelf components, and value for power.



While the SS Series has grown to have many monoblock and multi-channel amps this year, there was one classic SS amp that hadn’t yet been properly replaced, that is, until now. The SS4b was a discrete circuit, full range, class D, 4 channel amplifier capable of producing as much as 1500 watts from a chassis measuring only 6.875” wide by 11.81” long. What could be better? One that’s smaller, with at least twice the power, and for a better price: enter the SS4.3000.

When the question is “how do you replace a legend?”, the answer has to be “with a titan!” The SS4.3000 was originally designed to produce 750 watts per channel, but final testing shows it can reasonably produce up to 1000 watts per channel at 2 Ohms continuous. It uses the latest high speed class D devices coupled to a robust power supply designed for high signal to noise ratio, high channel separation, and low THD+N. The high efficiency, low noise, twin toroidal circuit design is housed in the streamlined DD style heatsink with more thermal mass and heatsink fin area than industry norms, because DD knows that play time is often in extreme conditions. The preamp section is easily configurable with separate low pass and high pass sections, along with bandpass capability. Packing in all of this full range potential was done to complement DD’s VO Series pro audio speakers to perfectly match listener’s big bass systems with loud and clear mids and highs at every level. Measuring in at just 11.25 x 7.3 x 2.4 this powerful little amp currently retails for just $579.

Metra Debuts Audio Upgrades for Select BMW at SEMA

These new products were developed in collaboration with VIBE Audio, will be sold in pairs, and will be in stock soon. 8″ Under-Seat Replacement Subwoofers
Metra’s SEMA booth will display 8-inch under-seat replacement VIBE subwoofers, available in 2 Ohm (OS-BMW82V3) or 4 Ohm (OS-BMW84V3) options. These direct-replacement under-seat subwoofers are engineered to fit perfectly into the vehicle with no modifications required. They offer a premium lightweight design and provide an enhanced bass response over factory speakers. All brackets and wiring connectors are included for easy plug-n-play installation.

4″ Plug-N-Play Front Door and Coaxial Speakers

In-Demand Late Model Jeep Solutions are Coming to SEMA

HOLLY HILL, FL (10.30.24) – Metra Electronics is showcasing aftermarket accessories designed to fit select late-model Jeep Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL vehicles at this year’s SEMA Show. Show attendees can view them from November 5th to 8th in Metra’s main SEMA Show booth, #10439, in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and at its off-roading and powersports booth, #24743, in the Central Hall. The manufacturer will display new items, including a soundbar adapter, lower dash speaker grille cut-ins, lower dash speaker pods, and popular products from its existing lineup of audio accessories. These upgrades cover applications for 2018-up* Jeep vehicles, including 2024 models, making Metra an industry leader for these highly sought-after products.

Soundbar Adapter
The new JP-1019 allows installers to upgrade the soundbar in 2024-up* Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT from the 4″ and 3″ factory speakers to a 6-inch to 6.75-inch aftermarket speaker by cutting the interior of the factory soundbar. It offers an optional tweeter location and includes adapter plates, speaker harnesses, grille replacements, and all hardware required for installation. This adapter retains your factory dome light in the soundbar location, and the replacement grilles feature a factory-style textured finish with a custom-stamped metal grille for a stylish look.

Lower Dash Speaker Grille Cut-ins
Metra’s new JP-1020 left and right lower dash speaker grille cut-ins enhance the appearance of 2024-up* Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT interiors when installing aftermarket speakers. They allow installers to widen the factory 4-inch opening to accommodate an upgrade to 6-inch to 6.75-inch speakers for more vivid sound while adding a bold style. These speaker covers feature a gloss black metal mesh grille with silver accents and perfectly complement the previously released JP-1017 dashboard speaker covers and the new JP-1014 dash speaker pods.

6″- 6.75″ Lower Dash Speaker Pods
The new JP-1014 replacement speaker pods are designed to replace the original 4” speaker pods located under the driver and passenger side of the dashboard in the 2018-up* Jeep Wrangler and 2020-up* Gladiator. Each pair of pods has an ABS housing that utilizes the factory mounting locations for a secure fit that will heighten the listening experience. They are installed using the factory grommet and wiring, and a Metra 12″ speaker adapter harness is included.

Dashboard Speaker Grilles
Metra’s popular JP-1017 is a set of custom-designed dashboard speaker grilles designed to enhance the interior appearance of select Jeeps when installing aftermarket speakers. They are designed to fit the 2018-up* Wrangler JL and the 2020-up* Gladiator JT and allow speakers to be upgraded to a larger tweeter or mid-bass speaker for a more vivid sound. These speaker grilles feature a black metal grille with bold silver accents that match this year’s new JP-1020 lower dash speaker cut-ins, ensuring they complement each other perfectly.

Add-A-Sub Interface
Part of its existing product line, Metra’s AXSUB-CH8 add-a-sub interface fits amplified and non-amplified 2021-up* Chrysler models, including Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT. It is installed at the radio location and features a 2-channel non-fading 5V RMS output, a fixed low pass frequency of 234Hz, and 250mA remote turn-on output. It includes a bass knob & vehicle-specific harness for easy installation and customization.

DSP-X Package with T-Harness
The AXDSPX-CH8 is a DSP-X package with T-harness that fits 2020-up* Chrysler models, including Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT. This previously introduced product in Metra’s line offers installers a fast, cost-effective solution for improving the sound system with ten individually assigned output channels, the ability to password-protect your settings, and an easy-to-use smartphone app. It has an onboard digital amplifier turn-on capability with built-in technology to retain many of the vehicle’s features commonly lost when installing a DSP.
