NAV-TV Partners with Kaba Ilco Corp to Bring In-House Automotive Locksmith and Remote Control Programming Capabilities to 12 Volt Specialty Retailers

CORAL SPRINGS, FL (03.12.2020) – NAV-TV Corp., a leading innovator and manufacturer of OEM integration and safety products for the automotive aftermarket, and Kaba Ilco Corp., the largest US-based manufacturer of key blanks and remote transponders for the automotive aftermarket, announce that they have entered into a strategic partnership.  

Under the partnership, authorized NAV-TV dealers will have access to the complete line of Kaba Ilco automotive Futura key cutting and duplicating machines, Keyfob programming units, Key Blanks, and Look-Alike Remotes, enabling US-based 12 Volt Retailers with the ability to cut, program and clone automotive key fobs and remote controls.

“This opportunity opens up a completely new category for 12-volt retailers” stated NAV-TV Account Executive, Richard Flynn. “Not only does this provide NAV-TV dealers with a new profit center, but it will help to drive customers into their stores that would otherwise not be exposed to what our industry has to offer.”

Ilco and NAV-TV have been running test markets with select NAV-TV dealers since December 2019. Vik Moolchandani, General Manager of Long Island, NY based Avenue Sound, stated, “We brought the Ilco system into our Patchogue location in December of last year and have had tremendous success with the product. We are seeing attachment sales of the key fobs to existing customer tickets, as well as increased foot traffic as a direct result of the category. The key fob programming and key cutting services have opened up a new, high-profit revue stream for us and we will be adding an additional Ilco system at our Freeport location soon.”

Setup and product training is provided at no additional charge and attractive equipment financing and lease options are available. For dealers that may have an existing key cutting machine and/or key fob programmers, the Ilco key blanks and look-alike remotes may be ordered a-la-cart. According to Ilco, their products are not affected by the coronavirus parts availability shortage, and their products may be directly substituted for competing products that may be in limited availability.
