The Fall Bagger Nationals Audio Competition

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (10.20.25) – The Fall Bagger Nationals Audio Competition took place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach on Saturday, October 18th.

Bikers began to line up early for the competition.

The Bagger Nationals Audio Competition is the premier motorcycle audio event held in the heart of Daytona Beach, set against the iconic backdrop of the Hard Rock Hotel grounds. The event celebrates innovation, craftsmanship, and passion for top-tier bike audio systems, bringing together competitors and enthusiasts from across the region.

KICKER was among the event sponsors and set up an exhibit booth in the Hard Rock Hotel lobby. On-site were Lorin Morrell of MadDog Media, along with KICKER team members Lori Boyer and Jerry Wynn. The team spent time at the booth as well as outside connecting with competitors and motorcycle enthusiasts.

“Early Saturday morning the tents were set up and bikes lined up for the competition to get underway. Throughout the day, nearly 100 bikes competed and there was so much energy on site. The energy of the bikers, exhibitors, and enthusiasts was amazing!” Morrell shared.

Competition classes included Featherweight, Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, and Extreme Class. The Extreme Class featured a first-place $1,000 payout plus a Heavyweight Belt. The total cash payout for the Fall 2025 Bagger Nationals was $14,000.

MODUS at the Electrify Expo at the Nassau Coliseum in New York

UNIONDALE, NY (10.20.25) – MODUS exhibited and demoed audio systems at the Electrify Expo, held at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, October 17-19.

Following successful showings at Electrify Expos in Seattle, San Francisco, and Chicago, MODUS once again featured its award-winning 2024 Tesla Cybertruck build at the New York event. As in previous shows, the Cybertruck became a major attraction, drawing consistent crowds throughout the weekend.

MODUS was on site for the Electrify Expo at the Nassau Coliseum.

“Exhibiting at the Electrify Expo at the Nassau Coliseum was really terrific every day. We were able to communicate the MODUS EV message directly to attendees. Team members Matt Delgado and Rachel West joined in connecting with attendees, and on Sunday our area rep Frankie Mark from The 12volt Marketing Group joined us,” stated Jason Digos. Frankie Mark covers Northern New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine.

The MODUS CyberTruck was busy with demos throughout the event.

“New York is loud, and we raised the decibel level with our Cybertruck demos, which have been incredibly popular during the Electrify Expo tour,” said Jason Digos, MODUS Senior Sales Trainer. “Attendees don’t realize such a high-end and powerful audio system can be integrated into today’s complex electric vehicles. This marks a significant advancement in mobile audio integration with electric vehicles, capable of delivering 6,000 watts (RMS) of audio power without requiring voltage inverters or additional batteries. This is a first for any EV audio system and is made possible through Modus’ patented PREACT technology in the new Mezzo amplifier line, which operates with exceptional efficiency at higher voltages.

Mid City Engineering Announces ModeLock – Porsche Drive Mode Memory Module

CHICAGO, IL (10.20.25) – Mid City Engineering, a leading provider of innovative accessories for the luxury vehicle market since 1999, today announced the release of ModeLock, a new series of drive mode memory modules designed for select Porsche models.

The ModeLock module bypasses Porsche’s factory default of starting vehicles in “Normal” drive mode, allowing drivers to start every trip with their preferred performance settings.

“Porsche vehicles automatically start up in ‘Normal’ drive mode by default,” explained Dan Ruby, owner of Mid City Engineering. “The driver can change those parameters, but the vehicle won’t remember them for the next drive. ModeLock saves the driver’s preferred settings, so the car is always ready to go exactly the way you want it.”

ModeLock modules are designed for simple installation in the driver’s side kick panel and require only four connections: power, ground, CAN high, and CAN low.

VOXX Snake Pit Training With D-Source Distributing

FINDLEY, MN (10.17.25) – The VOXX Snake Pit VIPER, Avital, and Prestige training took place for dealers in the D-Source territory on Wednesday evening, October 15, at the Livinn Hotel in Minneapolis from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Doug Hansen from Echo Marketing was on site and shared, “All in the audience were very engaged, and the training setup in the hotel was top drawer. Several attendees made positive comments about the hotel and the whole evening.”

Attention grabbing VIPER in-store stand-up welcome dealers.
Large screens provided a great setting for David and Kyle to showcase the latest for the remote start season from VOXX.

Continuing, he added, “David Chamberlain and Kyle Bylander did a great job presenting the training. They covered cutting-edge firmware solutions, expanded T-Harness coverage, and new hardware innovations, plus expert installation tips. They also covered the newest in Dash Cams from VOXX.”

Josh Burris from D-Source Distributing related, “Having the support from Doug at Echo along with David and Kyle from VOXX will definitely provide a spark for the season. At D-Source, we are well-stocked and ready to work with dealers to make this remote start season strong. Waiting now for ‘Mr. Weather’ to bring winter!”

In attendance were over 30 staff members and installation techs from dealers across the territory. All enjoyed delicious pizza while gearing up to kick off the remote start season.

NORCAL, CA (10.17.25) – Since joining PowerBass as the Western Regional Sales Director 35-year industry veteran John Driscoll has been on the road nonstop. This week he has been on the road in Northern California with Micah Bowen with Ovation making calls on dealers in the area. Two recent stops were JDM Sounds and Tint in Bakersfield CA and ZAMZ Audio in Visalia, CA.

2025 SEMA Show Brings Action-Packed Live Demos to Life

DIAMOND BAR, CA (10.17.25) – Attendees at the 2025 SEMA Show, held Nov. 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will get to explore a Show floor full of advanced technologies, interactive demonstrations, networking opportunities, and action-packed outdoor activations, stunts, and live motorsports demonstrations that turn automotive innovation into real-world action.

Nitro Circus Moto Mayhem will bring top freestyle motocross riders to the stage, performing impressive feats, precise tricks, and remarkable maneuvers. These performances demonstrate the skill, creativity, and technique of world-class riders, giving audiences a close-up view of their talent and control.

Performances will take place multiple times daily, giving attendees numerous opportunities to catch the action:
Tuesday, Nov. 4, to Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Other featured outdoor activations include Horsepower Rodeo, which will bring burnouts, drifting, and spectacular motorsports exhibitions to the Diamond Lot adjacent to West Hall, and the OPTIMA Peak Performance Challenge, a timed acceleration and braking competition that establishes the ability of the car and driver to accelerate, negotiate tight turns, and stop in a designated spot. SEMA Show Friday ticket holders can expect plenty of action as well from an elite group of OPTIMA-powered drivers that will be burning rubber the entirety of the day. Demonstrations run throughout the week, giving attendees multiple chances to see automotive skill, with professional drivers and riders providing interactive experiences and photo opportunities.

2025 dB Drag Racing Finals: Triple-Location Showdown, Record-Breaking Sound, and Unforgettable Wins

AUSTIN, TX (10.16.25) – The 28th Annual dB Drag Racing Finals came to life October 11–12, 2025, across three synchronized venues in Birmingham, AL; Fresno, CA; and Spruce Grove, AB. With 134 participants, a coast-to-coast judging crew, and a global livestream on dBTV.com, this year’s Finals pushed boundaries and bass in every direction.

Coordinating three live events was no small feat—but the precision, passion, and camaraderie from every team made it a weekend to remember. Saturday’s regional titles culminated in head-to-head Term-LAB matchups, with the grand finale delivering a 5-minute DEMO STYLE Deathmatch sponsored by Kicker. The win went to Team Sundown Wally, who averaged a stout 155.4 dB and took home the $1000 prize.

From milestone achievements to new world records, this year’s Finals honored the past, celebrated the present, and raised the bar for what’s possible in competitive car audio.

Actor Sung Kang To Host Reimagined SEMA Industry Honors At The 2025 SEMA Show

DIAMOND BAR, CA (10.16.25) – The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is preparing to host its annual celebration of industry excellence under a new name and a new format. Formerly known as the SEMA Show Banquet, the event will debut as SEMA Industry Honors at the 2025 SEMA Show, taking place Thursday, November 6, at the BleauLive Theater inside the Fontainebleau Las Vegas.

Hosted by Sung Kang – actor, filmmaker, and lifelong car enthusiast best known for his portrayal of Han in “The Fast & The Furious” franchise – the reimagined SEMA Industry Honors will transform from a traditional seated banquet into an engaging awards-show experience that reflects the automotive aftermarket’s spirit of innovation. Beyond the screen, Kang has built a career defined by storytelling and his deep connection to car culture, making him the perfect host for the industry’s biggest night.

The event will celebrate many of the industry’s most influential leaders and creators, including the prestigious Person of the Year and Content Creator of the Year awards.
