KICKER Hosts Dealers at Oklahoma Company Headquarters

STILLWATER, OK (08.17.22) – For the first time in at least two years, KICKER welcomed nearly three dozen dealers from the across the country to the company’s World Headquarters last week for a look at the facility, on-site product training and some fun.

Following a full tour of the operation and opening remarks from Vice President Tom Heath, KICKER Tech Force trainers held classes for two days of education on a number of topics, including KICKER products, integration technology, social media, sales training and marine products.

For the first time, KICKER’s XRV (Xtreme Recreational Vehicle) tractor-trailer was used as a rolling showroom during the training. The XRV served as a high-power backdrop to demonstrate KICKER’s new ST-Series of pro-audio speakers, in addition to complete systems in marine, motorcycle and car audio.  ST-Series speakers should begin shipping by fourth quarter.

KICKER Tech Force Manager Aaron Malin enjoyed the “carnival atmosphere” the XRV’s massive presence brought to the training.

“The XRV is the anchor of any KICKER event,” Malin explained. “This was an opportunity to not only showcase our products, but our presence.”  Malin and the rest of the Tech Force saw first-hand the “wow factor” that the 82-foot trailer can present onto a group of people, and that includes authorized KICKER dealers.

The agenda culminated with an in-depth discussion of current and future product development with several KICKER management members and engineers.

“With the mixture of sales and installers attending the trainings, we did our best to appeal to everybody by blending the sessions,” Malin explained. “There was something for everyone.”

The 2022 Great Pottsville Cruise

POTTSVILLE, PA (08.16.22) – The Annual Pottsville Cruise took place on Saturday, August 13th, under a bright sunny sky. Mayor Dave Clews, 12volt Dave’s Audio owner, stated “It was definitely a Chamber of Commerce fine weather day.”

Continuing, Clews offered “The Pottsville Cruise is very family friendly event that brings the community together. Cars are a big part of everyone’s life. Cars were parked along Market Street with a plaque in the car’s window with information about the ride. In all we had over 150 cars showcased at the event…one being my black El Camino. A live band capped a very enjoyable day for all.”

This ‘67 Dodge named, with a big power plant under the hood, was named Top Car and will be featured on the ‘23 Pottsville Cruise T-shirt.

12volt Dave’s retail store has served the Pottsville, PA community, and surrounding area, for over 20 years. Clews is a lifelong resident of Pottsville and has a 4 decade history in the 12volt industry.

Dave Clews, the Mayor of Pottsville, was sworn into office on January 3rd 2022. Alpine to Attend the Annual Ocean City Jeep Week in Maryland

AUBURN HILLS, MI (08.16.22) – Alps Alpine North America, Inc. will attend the Ocean City Jeep Week in Ocean City, Maryland from Thursday, August 25 to Saturday, August 27 where they will have exciting new vehicle-specific products designed uniquely for the Jeep driver.

Featuring the latest in Jeep-specific dash and sound system offerings from Alpine, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be on-site for product demonstrations so attendees can experience the new High-Resolution i509-WRA-JL with a High-Definition, Weather-Resistant 9-inch screen and wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The i509-WRA-JL was intentionally designed with the Jeep driver in mind to visually emulate the design identity of the Jeep interior and retain the features Jeep drivers use the most. High-Resolution Audio Playback (96kHz/24Bit) can stream music from popular Hi-Res streaming platforms or directly from a smartphone for incredible music detail and high-precision music reproduction.

To demonstrate the head unit integration capabilities, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will also feature a premium night vision DVR-C320R Dash Camera with built-in drive assist and impact recording. An Alpine PSS-24WRA sound system, with front 6.5” component speakers, 6.5” rear custom soundbar replacement speakers, 8” compact powered subwoofer, and 4-channel amplifier will be featured for in-vehicle sound upgrade demonstrations as well as an Alpine Weather-Resistant PSS-SX01 Sound System mounted to the roll bars to demonstrate exterior sound upgrade opportunities.

Alpine’s 2015 Jeep Wrangler will also be on-site with similar Jeep-specific solutions designed for older Jeep Wranglers, including the i509-WRA-JK, DVR-C320R, PSS-22WRA Weather-Resistant Sound System, PSS-SX01, and HCE-TCAM1-WRA Spare Tire Rear-View Camera and Light System.

“Switchback,” Alpine’s 2020 Jeep Gladiator, will also be on-site with a custom truck bed build that features 40 motorized Bluetooth speakers that articulate for optimal sound positioning, and a tailgate designed to look like an early Alpine stereo, complete with a large, functional volume knob and six classic “Alpine green” buttons on the faceplate to control the automation.

The Alpine Event Truck and Trailer will be open to visitors who want to chat with Alpine event staff and experience the latest vehicle-specific technology, all from the comfort of an air-conditioned lounge area located in the trailer.

All Alpine products are available for purchase during the event with special, event-only pricing and free giveaways. Alpine Authorized Retailer Proline Car Stereo will be on-site to give vehicle demonstrations, answer product questions, and offer on-site installation so customers can drive home with their Alpine purchase installed in their Jeep.
