Audio Edge Joined KENWOOD and Rockford Fosgate at the 2023 Bikes, Blues and BBQ Motorcycle Rally

ROGERS, AR (09.26.23) – The Audio Edge Team rolled out of the company’s Nederland TX home at 5 AM on Monday September 18th for the 530 mile trip to Rogers, AR. Owner Chris Hulin was behind the wheel of the F350 pulling a 24’ trailer filled with tools, accessories and supplies needed to complete installations on dozens and dozens of bikes at the Bikes, Blues and BBQ Motorcycle Rally that ran September 27-30 in Rogers, AR.

Team members Cody Gressett, James Duvall and Seth Hollier joined Hulin in the F350 cab on the 12 hour trip.

At 5 AM Monday morning Chris Hulin snapped this image in the Audio Edge parking lot in Nederland TX ready to head to Rogers AR.
From Day 1 the Rally was busy in the Rockford Fosgate and KENWOOD area.

The 2023 Bikes, Blues and BBQ Rally was definitely impacted by weather. A total of 10” of rain fell during the week. The first night high wind took out a big tent. As the days passed the weather improved and the event finished under a sunny sky.

During the Rally KENWOOD staff members Tim Hill and Marcus Vasconcellos were under the tent showing bikers product, doing demos and closing sales along with the Audio Edge Team that completed installations.

Each night of the Rally the Audio Edge crew worked late under the lights.
All was well organized for the Audio Edge team with the trailer and install bays.

Momentum Marketing firm members were under the Rockford Fosgate tents during the event. Hector Mena, Gary Biggs, Jimmy Bradfield and Jorge Grijalva worked to show and demo Rockford Fosgate’s extensive line of motorcycle products.

Gary Biggs related, “The Bikes, Blues and BBQ event was was great. We did have rain several days but it did not keep many bikers from coming. We were busy the entire show. Audio Edge has been a strong Rockford Fosgate dealer for many years. We definitely enjoyed spending time with their team during the event.”

Amazing bikes were loaded with the latest from Rockford Fosgate.
Lots of Kenwood power added to this bike.

“This was our fifth trip to the Rally in Rogers and it was another very good trip that we are planning again in 2024. We completed KENWOOD and Rockford Fosgate installations on dozens and dozens of bikes from 8 in the mornings until all jobs were done well into the nights. We did a lot of 2 and 4 speaker installs and quite a few older bikes. The biggest job was a done the last day and was right at $7500. Rockford Fosgate Stage 5 products and radio plus a Kenwood motorcycle camera system were installed. When we packed up for the trip home we didn’t have much inventory on the trailer. We gauged it pretty well based on past trips to Rogers,” Hulin related.

The KENWOOD, Momentum Marketing and Audio Edge teams stayed in a large, very nice rental house on a lake close to the Rally site. ”We ate a lot of pizza, sandwiches and BBQ from food trucks during the day and enjoyed dinners on the grill at the house. Spending time with the KENWOOD and Momentum Team members was a terrific opportunity to talk bike, industry and what’s happening in the world around us,” Hulin added.

It would be a fun ride with this lady biker!
Lots of swag for bikers who added big sound to their rides for the trip home.

Overall attendance at the 2023 Sturgis Rally was reported to be down a bit and weather was certainly a contributing factor.

Concluding, Hulin offered, “We are all very glad to be home. During the rally we talked with hundreds of bikers about what they enjoyed listening to their systems on the road. We will be able to utilize that info as we talk to bikers here at our store. When they hear about out trips to Rogers and Sturgis they know we are the bike experts. The crew at the store did a great job while we were gone. Sales are good in Nederand and we are already getting ready to attend a few more bike rallies. Bike sales are definitely an important and a growing part of our business.”

Endless Possibilities Auto Returned to the SubieFest Midwest in 2023

JOLIET, IL (09.25.23) – Endless Possibilities Auto is a very proactive 12volt retailer that definitely understands the value of exhibiting and connecting at consumer events. On Sunday, September 24th, the Endless Possibilities Auto Team made the short 20 mile trip from their Aurora location to participate at the SubieFest Midwest 2023 event at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL.

The Route 66 Raceway in Joliet IL for SubieFest 2023 was the place to be on Sunday.
The Endless Possibilities Auto booth was very busy throughout the event.

Cesar Marungo, Endless Possibilities Auto owner, offered, “At the store we like Subarus. In fact 4 of us own various Subaru models. We have quite a number of customers who are happy with the upgrades we have made to their Subarus. We had great results at last year’s SubieFest so it was a no-brainer for us to get a booth again this year and plan the short trip to Joliet. We loaded our vehicles with our tent, gear to display and sell at the event then hit the road early Sunday morning. Having Chris Reavis on site again, this year with his Subaru, was really a big plus.”

Demos featuring Alpine gear were spotted around the event.

The Route 66 Raceway was packed with vendors, Subaru owners and importantly a large turnout of enthusiasts on a sunny Sunday for the SubieFest Midwest 2023 event.
Continuing Marungo related “This year’s SubieFest was not quite as busy as last year. At this year’s SubieFest though we met with quite a few people who said they remembered coming by our booth last year. It’s also so great to see our customers enjoying their Subarus, with systems we installed at the store, at the Route 66 Raceway.”

Tech Sessions were offered for attendees this year.

“There is quite a community of Subaru owners in our area. Being able to show our demo vehicles at the event was terrific. This year Tech Seminars were added and we did a 25 minute session ‘Enhancing Your Entertainment System’. We had about 20 people as we talked about audio, OEM integration and safety upgrades. In addition, as the remote start season is on the way, we highlighted that category along with radar detectors and LED lighting. Through the day I think we had meaningful conversations with a couple hundred people under our tent and in our demos. We sold quite a bit of the product that we took to the event and handed out a ton of fliers and Alpine lit” Marungo added.

Cesar Marungo presented a Tech Session highlighting audio, OEM integration and safety upgrades.
At the end of the long day Cesar Marungo and Chris Reavis (R) paused for a quick image before packing up.

Reavis offered, “Cesar and Endless Possibilities Auto have had two successful Alpine Experience events at their store this year and it was very rewarding to be able to give back by supporting their efforts and again in 2023 at the SubieFest Midwest event. There were 4 Subarus loaded with Alpine set for demos… including two showcasing the new Optim8. Working together at this event is what a great business relationship is all about.”

“At Endless Possibilities Auto we are expecting to see in-store traffic and sales from SubieFest 2023. During this event we added about 300 new social media followers from our product raffle entries. We are definitely looking forward to SubieFest 2024” Marungo concluded.

Endless Possibilities Hosted 2nd 2023 Alpine Experience

AURORA, IL (09.22.23) – Endless Possibilities Auto is a very proactive 12volt retailer who understands  the continuing value of connecting with consumers and enthusiasts. On Saturday September 15th Endless Possibilities hosted the company’s 2nd Alpine Experience event in 2023. Chris Reavis rolled an Alpine Jeep on site early in the day which was placed in front of the store.

Chris Reavis rolled the Alpine Jeep into place early Saturday morning.
Customers also filled the installation bay area.

Cesar Murango, Endless Possibilities Auto owner, related, “Again our store was a big winner. During the day traffic seemed to come in waves filling the showroom and in the installation bay area. From speakers, amps and head units our customers were making purchases… dash cam systems too. Having the Optim8 on display in the showroom also opened people’s eyes and definitely ears.

Customers at the counter to pick up their Alpine purchase.
This Jeep owner picked up an Alpine dash cam system.

‘A little rain did not slow down people coming into Endless Possibilities for the Alpine Experience. The demos outside in the Jeep brought smiles to all in the passenger seat. Other vehicles on site with Alpine showed people even more possibilities. The showroom showcased Alpine products and specials for the day. Cesar and his team were prepared and it was a super day,” Reavis, Alpine Specialist, commented.

Endless Possibilities will be on-site this weekend at the SubieFest Midwest with Chris Reavis in a Subaru loaded with Alpine.

Like last year Endless Possibilities Auto will be on site at the upcoming SubieFest Midwest on September 24th at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL. Reavis will join the Endless Possibilities Team with a personal Subaru loaded with Alpine gear.

Terrific to see Alpine Experiences happening from coast-to-coast to drive store traffic for proactive 12volt retailers. Consumers can not feel the bass in their chest or experience the highs on their smartphone or laptop. In-store traffic drives sales.

U.S. House of Representatives Passes SEMA-Supported Bill to Prevent Internal Combustion Engine Bans

DIAMOND BAR, CA (09.22.23) – U.S. House of Representatives has passed the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act (H.R. 1435) from Representative John Joyce (R-PA). The bill passed with bipartisan support (222 to 190), with eight Democrats joining their Republican colleagues to advance this legislation. The SEMA-supported legislation prohibits the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from issuing a waiver to California for regulations that would ban the sale of new motor vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE) in the state by 2035.

SEMA thanks Rep. Joyce for leading the fight to ensure Americans can choose the type of motor vehicle that best meets their needs. “The last thing my constituents want is another oppressive Biden Administration mandate that puts a radical environmental agenda and far-left special interests above their individual freedoms,” said Congressman Joyce. “There is nothing more quintessentially American than the freedom of the open road, and I’m grateful to my colleagues for supporting this important legislation protecting the freedom of all Americans to drive the vehicles of their choice.”

House Energy and Commerce (E&C) Committee Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) shepherded H.R. 1435 through the committee in July. As Chair of the E&C Committee, which has jurisdiction over automotive issues and the Clean Air Act, McMorris Rodgers has been a lead advocate for technology-neutral vehicle policies. “Seventeen other states have similar bans on internal combustion engines that would be triggered if EPA approves California’s request,” said Chairwoman McMorris Rodgers. “This affects 40% of the United States’ new vehicle market–and companies don’t customize cars for every state.”

To date, 14 out of 17 CARB states have begun adopting regulations to follow the California zero-emissions vehicles (ZEV) mandate. The existing ZEV regulations are so onerous that Stellantis, a member of the Big Three, has stopped shipping gas-powered Jeeps to dealers in those states and customers wanting gas-powered vehicles must place a special order.

U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), the co-chair of the Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus, introduced S. 2090, a Senate companion bill to H.R. 1435 (includes the same bill text). The House and Senate versions of the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act now await consideration in the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

Click here to send your U.S. Senators a letter asking them to support the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act by co-sponsoring S. 2090.

Our store is on a corner and we were very busy throughout the day. Our JBL branded ‘Milk Truck’, loaded with JBL, was out front and drew a crowd, like a magnet, each time we cranked the volume.
