Custom Audio Connected with the 6 Weeks ‘Til Christmas Campaign for the Holidays

ERIE, PA (12.28.2020) – Custom Audio in Erie, PA began the company’s annual Holiday themed 6 Weeks ’til Christmas campaign on November 15th. Each week a new ‘Christmas Gift’ was offered. To enter for a chance to win a follower was required to like, comment and share the post. The winner of the previous week was selected each Monday and notified. A post was made of each winner with several weekly winners coming into the store to pick up their winning Christmas Gift. A post of that winner and gift was another opportunity for a post to connect with followers during the 6 Weeks ’til Christmas campaign.

Custom Audio kicked off their 6 Weeks ‘til Christmas campaign on November 15th with this social media post.

Reviewing the 6 Weeks ’til Christmas campaign company owner Sondralee Orengia offered, “The number of people participating in our Holiday campaign this year was definitely better than last year. The fact that more people were likely at home spending time on their phones probably led to the pretty strong increase.”

Week 1 winner was Karin Skalko.

Orengia utilized Random app from the Apple Store to select the weekly winners. Weekly prize offering posts were made on social media to both Instagram and Facebook.

Week 2 prize was a very useful Scosche smartphone cupholder.

Continuing, Orengia stated, “Customers were thrilled to come into the store to pick up their prizes. Custom Audio is a big proponent of “Shop Local” and several winners mentioned how important it is to support local retailers. Some winners had not been in our store before and they commented about our impressive showroom layout and indicated they would return to make a purchase in the future.”

The Week 3 prize provided the winner with a way to get connected.

Concluding, Orengia stated, “There were many comments made by followers during our 6 Weeks ’til Christmas campaign. Again in 2020 this was a very positive campaign which we plan to continue in future Holiday Seasons.”

Week 4 Winner Mike Kobylka in the store with his prizes.
Theresa Fullerton Abbey is pictured picking up her Week 5 WeatherTech prize.

Great job to Sondralee Orengia and the Custom Audio Team. It is terrific to see 12volt retailers reaching out via social media to connect with followers and consumers to drive store traffic and sales.

Gregory Michaels was the Week 6 Winner and had many options with his Custom Audio $100. Gift Card.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All Across the 12Volt Industry

SHREVEPORT, LA (12.25.2020) – 2020, driven by the COVID-19 Pandemic, certainly has been such a very strange year on so many fronts. Many companies within the 12volt industry were posting record sales prompted by very strong second and third quarters.

Many are now seeing sales slow plus inventory availability is in question in some categories. The tremendous spike in online holiday sales no doubt has impacted traffic in brick and mortar storefronts. Fires across California and the Western US continue to add to uncertainty in that region. Severe snow storms are blanketing much of the country from the Rockies to the Northeast this last week of the year. As 2021 dawns, there will still be considerable uncertainty on many fronts.

The above narrative is a harsh reality that each business is facing.

From the 12volt Central Studios, we encourage all to evaluate their situation and play to their strengths. Build on your company’s strengths and highlight the positives in your every day activities.

We look forward to continuing to showcase positives from companies across the 12volt industry in 2021.

There are many success stories about MECA Members who worked hard to win their rings. MECA will present some of those stories over the next 2 months.

MECA awarded over 60 Championship Rings for the 2020 Competition Season.

The car audio industry had an amazing year, and MECA contributed the fun and games that are our legacy and an important part of promoting the Mobile Electronics Industry.”

The 2021 season is underway and the forecast is for an exciting series of contests, especially in late Spring/early Summer when conditions are projected to improve concerning COVID-19.

Alpine Electronics Now Shipping the PSS-SX01 Weather-Resistant Side-by-Side Sound System

AUBURN HILLS, MI (12.23.2020) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is now shipping the PSS-SX01 Weather-Resistant Side-by-Side Sound System. With the included Bluetooth Adaptor, drivers can stream music directly from their smartphone.

Alpine in the Side-by-Side

Having established a relationship with the music-loving active weekender through their vehicle specific solutions, Alpine saw a need for a premium solution in the Side-by-Side market. From the backroads to the dunes, Side-by-Side owners are known for customizing their ride with exciting solutions built to perform in any driving condition.

Now Alpine seeks to bring an uninterrupted music experience to the Side-by-Side with a complete, weather-resistant sound system that includes two premium, ruggedized enclosures with 6.5-inch speakers with grilles, 1-inch teteron dome tweeters, one 4-channel amplifier, and a Bluetooth Adaptor. With a universal folding-style clamp, the PSS-SX01 fits 1.5-inch – 2-inch rails on a variety of Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki, Can-Am, and Yamaha Side-by-Sides

Premium Sound on the Road

Without doors, windows, or a roof, music details are often lost to wind and engine noise that occur while driving. The PSS-SX01 is designed to deliver a premium sound experience on the road.

The tweeters capture the high frequencies of music, for clarity even when driving. The 90-watt speakers project powerful sound powered by a 4-channel amplifier that utilizes Alpine’s Exclusive Dynamic Peak Power (DPP) during power-hungry musical passages.

Music that Moves with You

The PSS-SX01 takes the Side-by-Side beyond utility with an included Bluetooth Adaptor that can stream music directly through a smartphone without a radio or head unit source. Now drivers can enjoy their music while taking their Side-by-Side on an adventure, no matter where it is.

The weather-resistant sound system is built to withstand all the elements. The speakers are made from rugged, durable fiberglass, finished in a matt black coating that replicates the look of the Side-by-Side. The included clamps are durable and are attached to a rotating aluminum base coated for protection against the elements and adjustable up to 90-degrees for an optimal listening position. The speakers come with a weather-resistant plug for wiring. Additional wires, like power or speaker wire extensions to the amplifier, may be necessary for installation.

The PSS-SX01 is now shipping for $999.95 and will be available at Alpine Authorized retailers or online at www.alpine-usa.com through Crutchfield. Installation options can be found on the Alpine-USA website through the store locator.
