KICKER Sets Up in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown

STILLWATER, USA – July 12, 2022 – KICKER ® announces title sponsorship of a custom-car show and audio competition in iconic Bricktown – the hub of Oklahoma City’s downtown entertainment district. KC Showdown presents KICKER in Bricktown, open to all makes and models near the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Saturday July 16.

KICKER will roll in with the XRV (Xtreme Recreational Vehicle), the 82-foot showroom housing the full line of audio gear and the now-famous Boom Room, featuring an even larger, louder sub enclosure suspended in a custom steel frame. Built to withstand the torture emanating from 40,000 watts of massive power, the Boom Room boasts an array of 11-inch, horn-loaded can speakers adding to the thunderous bass a dozen square L7 ® 15-inch subwoofers.

Car-audio competitors with big-bass systems will have a chance to compete at the Bass Wars booth, earning prizes and points toward the Bass Wars World Finals. BW Regional Director Jimmy Pittman explained Bass Wars has classes that accommodate almost any mobile-audio system, from a single subwoofer to an extreme SPL system.

“I have had a lot of competitors reach out to me from surrounding states,” said Pittman. “It’s going to be a pretty big show. I hope Bricktown is ready for a very loud crowd.”

The show will also feature a “hop off” for cars with hydraulics.

“The goal is to make the front of the car jump as high as you can, with or without weight, and make the car stand up on back bumper,” KC Showdown promoter Denny Eddy explained. “It’s a great way to show off your car and is really fun. It’s a lot of custom work that you don’t see the bottom of, until they come out to compete.”

Spectators will enjoy free admission. For more information, consumers need to search “Kicker Custom Car Show and Audio Comp” on Facebook.

KICKER Performance Audio products, a division of Stillwater Designs and Audio, Inc. ® , are available for the mobile and home audio aftermarket at authorized retailers worldwide, and also as Original Equipment for boat and automobile manufacturers. Al & Ed’s Escondido ‘Rewind 3’ At The Garden Walk Center

ANAHEIM CA (07.11.22) The Al & Ed’s Escondido ‘Rewind 3’ was an amazing car show event held at the Garden Walk Center in Anaheim on Sunday, June 26th. The Garden Walk Center is a multi-level upscale shopping mall and the ‘Rewind 3’ took place on one of the mall’s lower parking levels. ‘Rewind 3’ attracted top builds from across SoCal.

“This year’s ‘Rewind 3’ was the largest yet. There were over 120 preregistered with 115 on site and the quality of the theme builds was amazing. We had over $7K worth of items in the raffle. We also held an auction with proceeds to benefit a friend in the car show community who is battling Cancer” Chris DeNardo, who drives Al&Ed’s Escondido related.

Adding to the ‘Rewind 3’ car show activity there were a number of 12volt companies with tent booths set up around the venue. Focal brands, Cerwin Vega and SoundSkins were setup with representatives. S.C.M.T.C. (SoCal Mini Truck Council) was a ‘Rewind 3’ sponsor along with Cerwin Vega. Alpine provided a number of speakers for raffle prizes.

The SoundSkins Global booth with David Lopez explaining sound deadening products to attendees.

Paragon Marketing was in the house representing Mosconi, Gladen, Focal, Dynamat and Lucas Lighting brands in the SoCal firm’s bag.

Amazing builds, like the ‘Jokers’ amazed all at ‘Rewind 3’.

Continuing DeNardo offered “These events are such a great way for our Al&Ed’s Escondido location to connect with various communities across the automotive aftermarket spectrum. And that’s far beyond just mobile electronics. Body mods, graphics, tinting, paint protection, wheels, tires, hydraulics, in-vehicle lighting, head lights and more add to our ever growing offerings for consumers. At events like ‘Rewind 3’ automotive enthusiasts experience these products in a real world setting.”

The sound deadening category is an excellent example of products most consumers do not know exists. SoundSkins Global was on site in a booth with David Lopez explaining the benefits that SoundSkins offers with a better audio listening experience plus deduced road noise. The quieter vehicle interior also leads to better cell phone communications. “I talked to dozens and dozens of ’Rewind 3’ attendees and the vast majority were not familiar with the sound deadening category… but were quick to understand the benefits of a tighter ride” Lopez stated.

A wide range of custom and exotic builds rolling into the ‘Rewind 3’ Garden Walk Center venue.

Concluding DeNardo related “Throughout the year I sponsor several events of the automotive scene. I believe getting out in front of car people, who love their vehicles and spend on improving them, is a great avenue for my advertising money to drive business at Al&Ed’s Escondido.”

Alpine Training at Mach 1 Car Audio

RICHFIELD, MN (07.08.22) – Mach 1 Car Audio and Security operates 2 stores in the Minneapolis/St Paul metropolitan area of Minnesota. In keeping with the company’s ‘Making Great Cars Better’ the staffs from both locations gathered in the Richmond store for an Alpine training session on Tuesday, June 28th.

Alpine Brand Specialist Chris Reavis and Alpine area Alpine representative Patrick Virock-Echo Sales conducted the session with Mach 1 owner Brent Kummer and his team members.

The Mach 1 Car Audio Team assembled at the Alpine in-person training session conducted by Chris Reavis (R).

“We are finally beginning to get back on the road after nearly a 2-year Covid-19 disruption. We feel it is so important to connect with our dealers to make sure they have all the tools to deliver the Alpine message to consumers who are looking to upgrade the audio in their vehicles. There were almost 20 members of the Mach 1 staff in the meeting and they were all very engaged with the presentation and asking specific questions” Reavis related.

Virock stated “We did a deep dive into the new models across the Alpine line. Staff members also spent time outside in Chris’s 4-Runner and received great demos of the Alpine system in a real-world setting. It was terrific to spend time with Chris in the training a strong Alpine retailer Mach 1 Car Audio.”

Kummer contributed “The Alpine brand is an important brand in our go to market strategy. The Alpine feature set is in tune with today’s vehicles and consumer expectations. It was a great meeting. We benefitted from the time spent covering the new Alpine line along with some time together, as the Mach 1 crew, with a little pizza and together time too. I can’t say enough how important face-to-face time is in communicating and building relationships. A big Mach 1thank you to Alpine, Chris and Patrick.”
