Sanford Sound and Voltz Auto Truck Traveled to the GoFast Winter Summit

SPRINGFIELD, MA (09.18.23) – The GoFast Winter Summit took place on Wednesday September 13th at the MassMutual Center in Springfield MA. Area 12volt Retailers Sanford Sound and Voltz Auto Truck closed their stores and headed to the GoFast Winter Summit to connect with manufacturers to see new products, attend trainings and network with fellow industry members. Both retailers report they traveled back to their stores with the feeling of a productive day.

Jack Bogard, Sanford Sound owner, and his team loaded into the company van at 6AM for the 170 mile trip from Sanford ME to Springfield MA. The team returned to home at 6 PM.

“It was a long day for sure. Connor, Kevin, Justin, Jack and I drove together in the company van for the 170 mile trip. Spending time with the team going to the event was a chance to discuss every day business in the store and personal lives. Also we talked about what we would learn at the Summit,” Bogard related.

“At the Summit it was very nice to see some new products and talk directly to factory and tech-support staffs. The remote starter season is on the horizon and it was very good to get the natest news from Compustar and VOXX . We attended training sessions and connected with other dealers during the lunch buffet. As much as it is hard to close your shop for a day, the trainings and conversations at the Summit and in the van with the team, the day was very valuable for Sanford Sound. A big thank you to GoFast for putting the Winter Summit together,” Bogard concluded.

Juan Zambrano runs Voltz Auto Truck in Bridgeport CT. “I closed the shop and made the 90 mile trip to the Summit in the Super Duty. Seeing new products and attending trainings was on my plan. Meeting the Lucas Lighting staff and learning about their products was very positive. Josh White conducted a very informative tech training session. Also the Metra training provided info on how the navigate their website for installation info and pointers. Looking forward to the big news coming from Compustar and DroneMobile for the remote starter season that is right around the corner,” Zambrano related.

Sanford Sound Hosted The 27th Annual Show N’ Shine

SANFORD, ME (08.01.23) – The 27th Annual Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine filled the grounds surrounding the company’s retail location on Sunday, July 30st.

“This year’s Show-n-Shine was the third at our new location and the weather was absolutely perfect. Last year we were mobbed. This year was even busier and the largest ever for our Annual Show N’ Shine as we had nearly 170 cars registered. It seemed almost every square foot of our property was filled with Show-n-Shine cars and activities” Owner Jack Bogard related.

Attendees lined up Sunday morning to register their vehicles for the show.

Tents were set up for demos with JL Audio, Memphis Audio and Rockford Fosgate. The Sanford Sound RZR was loaded with Memphis PowerSports products. Bill French was on site representing JL Audio while Chad Boone demoed the RZR under the Memphis tent. Byran Case manned the Rockford Fosgate booth and all handed out brochures and giveaways plus spent time with attendees.

“This year we set up vendor row and attendees spent time visiting all of the 13 brands that we spotlight at Sanford Sound. It was super to see the tents with JL Audio, Memphis Audio and Rockford Fosgate busy. Local business owners said they had never seen Route 4 so busy on Sunday” Bogard offered.

A number of area businesses were on site showing their products that 12volt enthusiasts could utilize. Vehicle restoration, lift modifications, stickers and more were offered. Food trucks were on site and the lemonade stand reported selling over 300 refreshments.

Miss New Hampshire 2023 was on site at the Show N Shine. Ashley in real life is Jack Bogard’s daughter who will head to Vegas for this year’s Miss America Pageant.
Classics are becoming a larger part of the Show N Shine each year.

“We also had several clubs attend the Show N’ Shine in big numbers. Team Conflicted had 13cars on site and won the car club top award. Also, we had a number of cars with out of state license plates… including Connecticut, Vermont, New York and Rhode Island” Bogard added.

There was an amazing number of custom trophies created for the 21 classes and set up for all to see before the awards presentation.

This amazing ‘62 Corvette won the Best Classic award. The 62 year old owner was actually driving down the street and saw the show and wheeled in to spent the day with his wife having fun.
There was a wide range of vehicles on the event grounds.

Members of the crowd were showing their rides and checking out other’s rides.The level of customization of the vehicles in the show this year was amazing. Sanford Sound Scores Big with the Alpine Experience Event

SANFORD, ME (06.12.23) – Sanford Sound hosted an Alpine Experience on Tuesday, June 6th. The Alpine Pickup rolled in with Colin Vargo, Alpine Brand Specialist, behind the wheel. Vargo was joined by Alpine Direct Representive Colette Beaudoin and the final setup for the event took place on the windy Tuesday. Nate Merrille, Sanford Sound representative from area distributor GoFast Solutions, was also in the house.

Jack Bogard, and the Sanford Sound crew, had the grounds in front of the store well prepared. In fact, Bogard’s classic Chevy pickup and Alpine banners were in place beginning May 24th. A custom-crafted Alpine surfboard was showcased on the side of the truck.

Sanford Sound began this Alpine graphic posts on April 29th and included 7 more posts before the June 6th event.

“The Alpine Experience event was a key promotion for us this summer. Therefore we started letting enthusiasts in Sanford know about the Alpine Experience at our store. The first post of the event on social media was actually on April 29th when we posted the Apline supplied graphic” Bogard related. The Alpine supplied Experience graphic was posted 8 times on Sanford Sound social media leading up to the June 6th event.

“We had many phone calls leading up to the event and people started showing up early Tuesday morning. Colin and Colette did at least 40 demos during the day with people seated in the Alpine demo truck. All were amazed when their demo was finished. We had asked peope to bring their favorite song for a demo. Those who did let us know their favorite song had never sounded like that as they heard something like a live concert” Bogard stated.

During the day sales were strong as customers made purchases. There was lunch from the grill and product raffles. More customers booked appoints and business continued from the event through the end of the week.

Sanford Sound Connects with Enthusiast on Tracks in the Area

SANFORD, ME (04.24.23) – Jack Bogard, behind the wheel at Sanford Sound, is very active across the community in Sanford ME and the surrounding area as Sanford Sound continues to grow year over year.

Recently Sanford Sound logos appeared on the track at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “The Alan Tardiss car looked super on the track at the Northeast Classic on April 15th. The Sanford Sound logos looked great on both sides” Bogard related.”

Bogard also participates by sponsoring drivers on short tracks, scooters and cycles too, closer to the Sanford ME home base.

“Being involved with drivers, young and old, allows us the connect with enthusiasts who have an interest in audio and upgrades in their daily drivers and other vehicles. They come into our store to check out options…and many times they bring fiends. I enjoy time at the track so ultimately it’s a win/win” Bogard stated.

SANFORD, ME (08.03.22) – The 26th Annual Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine filled the grounds surrounding the company’s retail location on Sunday, July 31st.

“This year’s Show-n-Shine was the second at our new location. Last year we were mobbed. This year was even busier and was by far the busiest we have ever been for our Annual Show N’ Shine. We counted the entry registration slips and had well over 200 cars and that’s with no NADBL Bass Competition this year. It seemed almost every square foot of our property was filled with Show-n-Shine cars and activities” Owner Jack Bogard related.

Sanford Sound Connects with Consumers Far from the Town of Sanford, ME

SANFORD, ME (06.21.22) – Since Sanford Sound opened in 1995, with Jack Bogard behind the wheel, the company has proactively worked to connect with consumers by hosting events in the store, in the store’s parking lot and grounds plus at off-site events. In just the last 2 weeks Sanford Sound has organized and presented 2 offsite concerts and a sound-off event on site at the company’s new location that is just 15 over months old.

On Saturday night June 11th, The Pirate Beach Band presented a tribute show highlighting Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown hits at The Runway at PCC venue. The Collie Buddz band performed Raggae style at an event a few days later. At each venue Sanford Sound was set up so attendees entered by the company’s booth with tables filled with giveaways including branded cups and sunglasses. Attendance at the first concert was just shy of 400 and topped 250 at the second event.

“The events were awesome as there was so much energy in the air. There was a lot of socializing and getting my brand out there. Think we will sell a big motorcycle system to a fellow who drove 2 1/2 hours down from Augusta for the first event,” Bogard related.

On Saturday June 17th Sanford Sound hosted a dB Drag and NADBL contest on the store grounds with nearly 80 competitors. “The weather was perfect and the high SPL was 167.9. Other than a few noise complaints from neighbors everyone had a great time,” Bogard concluded.

Sanford Sound Hosted 25th Annual Show N’ Shine

SANFORD, ME (07.27.2021) – The cloudy sky early Sunday morning, July 25th, did not deter a big crowd from attending the 25th Annual Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine.

“We were mobbed. This was the busiest we have ever been for our Annual Show N’ Shine. We counted the entry registration slips and had 180 cars plus there were 60 entries in the NADBL Bass Competition. This was the first year to hold the Show N’ Shine at our new Sanford Sound location and we used it all,” Owner Jack Bogard related.

Tents were set up for demos with JL Audio showing a Genesis and Memphis showcasing the Sanford Sound RZR loaded with Memphis PowerSports products. Bill French was on site representing JL Audio while Chad Boone demoed the RZR under the Memphis tent. Both handed out brochures and giveaways. The Memphis Audio sunglasses were a favorite.

The schedule for the day also included the introduction of Ms Sanford Sound Nakia and Hoot Dawgs for all to enjoy.

717 Car Audio and Sanford Sound Are Two Very Proactive 12volt Retailers

SHREVEPORT, LA (06.25.2021) – 717 Car Audio is located in Mountville PA and Sanford Sound in located in Sanford ME. Both successful retailers recently put their brand in front of a large audience of enthusiasts. Both companies are set to keep the ball rolling as each is has big plans this weekend. 717 Car Audio is hosting the company’s 4th Anniversary event at their store. Sanford Sound will be in Orlando, as Jack Bogard with 2 staff members, journey to Knowledgefest.

717 Car Audio recently attended the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler PA. Stephanie Stryjwski and Jeremy Lease traveled west to just outside Pittsburgh, a trip of nearly 300 miles pulling 2 trailers. The 40’ trailer was for the large MB Quart tent, booth set up gear, inventory and supplies plus accommodations for the weekend. The 20’ trailer hauled The Pink Jeep and more inventory for sale. Shop Dog Blue was along on the trip too.

Scott Wagner provided event recap details. “The Jeep Heritage Festivval was an amzaing event. Stephanie and Jeremy were totally slammed every day. They made lots of sales for Jeepers rides ad sold a ton of custom T-Shirts that Stephanie produces with an associated business. Three Jeep owners, from close to our store who attended the event, actually brought their Jeeps in for systems right after returning from the Jeep Festival.”

The 717 Car Audio Jeep features bright pink graphics with a ‘Fight Like A Girl’ message for all to see. The back of the Pink Jeep is undergoing work on a Massive build with 24,000 watts of Girl Power to drive sales at 717 at 717 Car Audio.

Frankie Mark, 12volt Marketing Group, is the area rep and worked with 717 Car Audio for the MB Quart tent at the event. “It’s so great to see active 12volt retailers going the extra mile, many miles in this case, to showcase 12volt products to consumers…and importantly generate sales.”

This Saturday, June 26th, 717 Car Audio will host customers, enthusiasts and consumers in the area for the company’s 4th Anniversary celebration at their Mountville PA store.

Sanford Sound held their first car audio show at the company’s new location in Sanford ME on Saturday 19th. “Our new store has been open just over a year. In spite of the Pandemic business has been very strong. With COVID restrictions easing we wanted to get the ball rolling again with car shows to create excitement in our market. The event drew over 30 competitors plus more cars demoing systems. In all we had over 100 people on site. The North American Decibel League was on site and one competitor hit 164dB with NADBL’s Chris Johnson judging and behind the meter,” owner Jack Bogard related.

Continuing, Bogard stated “The car show and NADBL event was a great trial run for our upcoming annual Show N’ Shine on Sunday, July 25th.”

Sanford Sound Turned the Key on a New, Much Larger Location in Sanford, ME

SANFORD, ME (01.05.2021) – Monday, January 4th, marked a ‘soft opening’ of the new Sanford Sound store in Sanford, ME. “We had a remarkably good day with people in the store and making sales. We still have a lot to do but all is coming together and we are excited” Owner Jack Bogard related.

After closing on the new property Jack Bogard began to let people know Sanford Sound was coming soon.

The new Sanford Sound location totals 8,000 square feet with a 2 level layout. The ground floor features showroom areas for Car and Home Audio, meeting room, office space plus customer waiting room and break area. The full basement area is set up for a large installation bay area, extensive fabrication shop plus large storage areas. Floors on both levels were steam cleaned and resurfaced.

The showroom is taking shape and the company’s RZR 900, decked with Memphis Audio in spotlighted.

In the showroom area there are raised areas to spotlight demo vehicles. The Sanford Sound RZR 900 is spotlighted and decked with Memphis Audio. “Since acquiring the RZR 900 as a demo vehicle our Powersports sales increased at least three fold. Another favorite is the Classic Sanford Sound Gremlin,” Bogard stated.

In a Facebook post Bogard thanked the many people who helped make the new location a reality. “I sincerely want to thank my incredible employees Andrew, Kevin, Matt and Nate. Also the almost endless volunteers that came to help.
