MIAMI, FL (10.20.23) – Nakamichi will be headed to Las Vegas later this month to participate in the company’s fourth consecutive SEMA Show, This year a new 20×20’ booth will be located in the front row of the North Hall in the Mobile Electronics section.

Popular Nakamichi 10.1-inch Floating Wireless Receiver is Back

Nakamichi to Debut Ultra Small Subwoofer at KnowledgeFest

LAS VEGAS, NV (02.03.23) – Nakamichi is pleased to introduce its latest mini active subwoofer, the NBF17.0A, at KnowledgeFest. The diminutive enclosure uses a unique 6.5” square driver with die cast basket that is integrated into the black crinkle finish aluminum enclosure. The unit boasts a built-in 100W RMS Mosfet amplifier with a full complement of preamp controls that allow you to dial in the sound. A heavy duty protective metal mesh grill completes the compact package. Frequency response is listed at 30Hz-180Hz

Nakamichi Readies for KnowledgeFest Sin City

MIAMI, FL (01.23.23) – Nakamichi will once again be exhibiting at KnowledgeFest this time at the Las Vegas show to be held February 3-5, 2023 at MGM’s Paris Hotel and Casino.  New items on display will be two new  wireless CarPlay/Android Auto NA3625-Series receivers with the new Susumo Platform providing faster response and more intuitive menus for an improved user experience.  The two models are the companies first wireless units.  The NA3625-WUX is the company’s first floating face multimedia receiver release in North America.  It boasts a 4-way adjustable 10.1-inch glass HD touch screen. Nakamichi Wraps Up Successful SEMA Showing

LAS VEGAS, NV (11.10.22) – The SEMA week kicked off Monday, October 31 for Nakamichi with a National Sales Meeting attended by over 30 people at Gordon Biersch restaurant and brewery just down the road from the Convention Center.

A brewery tour, dinner and a 2023 product overview were part of the festivities. The product overview as presented by Sheamson Yeo, Sales Director for Nakamichi Car Audio who flew in from Singapore for the event. A significant amount of time was devoted to company’s new NA3625 Series wireless CarPlay/Android Auto models. The new receivers were a major focus of the meeting; the NA3625-W6 (6.8-inch double DIN) and NA3625-WUX (10.1-inch floating screen) both scheduled for delivery in late Q4 feature a MAP of $359.95 and $529.95 respectively.

Nakamichi to Introduce Three New CarPlay Receivers and HD Back Up Camera at SEMA

MIAMI,FL (10.17.22) – Nakamichi will use the global stage of SEMA to launch three new wireless CarPlay / Android Auto receivers. Based off the same UI platform, these new 2023 models will also be compatible with the company’s new HD (Hi Def) back up camera.

Nakamichi is branding this the “Wireless Evolution” and the new receiver models employ the company’s new Susumo (advanced and improved) platform providing faster response and more intuitive menus for an improve user experience. Initially the lineup will include two double DIN 6.8-inch models available in a DVD and mechless version plus a mechless single DIN 10.1-inch floating screen receiver.

Incorporated in this new platform is the ability to integrate a 720p HD back-up camera offering enhanced detail in light and dark conditions. The NC-A100 comes with 20ft of video cable and a universal mounting bracket.

Nakamichi Readies for SEMA Show

Elon Musk Links Nakamichi to Bitcoin Developer

MIAMI, FL (03.17.22) – Last week entrepreneur and business magnate Elon Musk caused a stir online after sending out a tweet regarding the alleged creator of the bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Bitcoin is the first and most widely recognized cryptocurrency.

Musk’s Twitter meme shows that the pseudonym ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ is a collection of letters from the names of four consumer electronics companies: Samsung, Toshiba, Nakamichi and Motorola.

The first name Satoshi is derived from Sa-msung + Toshi-ba.

The last name Nakamoto is Naka-michi + Moto-rola.

Nakamichi Research Corporation Ltd was founded in 1948 by Etsuro Nakamichi of Tokyo, Japan. The brand relaunched its full line of car audio in the USA nearly 3 years ago.

Nakamichi Year-End Wrap Up

MIAMI, FL (01.31.22) – Last month, Diplomat Trading hosted Robin McNeal and Jason Proios at their Miami headquarters for several days of meetings. The meetings were capped by a video conference with the sales and marketing staff from Nakamichi Asia which featured virtually remote representatives from Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Topics of discussion included new models, market trends, sales projections and of course product availability. Production schedules were finalized for products that would ship before the Lunar New Year. “I feel better now about Q1 inventory,” noted Robin McNeal, National Sales manager for Nakamichi Car Audio. “To date we have introduced five new 2022 head units; two Double DIN (one with CarPlay and Android Auto) and three single DIN models. We should have several new CarPlay-Android Auto units to show at the February KnowlegdeFest in Las Vegas.”

Award for an Outstanding Job was presented to Robin McNeal.

During the trip McNeal was presented with a special award For an Outstanding Job in 2021. “I am very honored to receive this recognition and want to thank everyone involved that helped grow the Nakamichi business,” stated McNeal. ”A special thank you goes to David Bradman at Diplomat for giving me this opportunity.”

Since returning to the U.S market in 2020, Nakamichi Car Audio has expanded its dealer network both direct and through select distribution to car audio retailers in all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii.
