Echo Sales Announces the Launch of Sister Company Mobile Electronics Distribution (MED)

GRAYSLAKE, IL (10.06.22) – Echo Sales officially announced the new Mobile Electronics Distribution (MED) entity on October 1st 2022. The new company will be co-located with the existing Echo Sales Rep Firm. Rob Osheaski and Mike Lewis will drive Mobile Electronics Distribution (MED) into the future to serve dealers in the territory.

Osheaski related “Mike Lewis and I started Echo Sales in 2015. We had 2 separate 1-person rep firms and combined to double in size. When we got virtually shut down for Covid in March of 2020 we were concerned about vendors being shut down for an extended time, especially the California based companies. We decided to blow out one of our offices and small receiving area to stock some inventory. That was the start of Echo Distribution. Over the last two and a half years we added inventory space by knocking out our conference room and 2 additional offices since we were overflowing with product. In July of this year, we expanded to our current location in Grayslake.”

Echo Sales will remain the name of the rep firm and the parent company of Mobile Electronics Distribution (MED). Osheaski and Lewis decided to change the name of the distribution entity so it could chart its own course and not necessarily following the original direction of Echo Sales, which was planned only as a Stocking Rep Distributor for lines represented and within Echo Sales territories. The new course of MED is full 12-volt distribution for lines and territories beyond that which is represented by Echo Sales. Plans are already in the works for an even larger location to continue the growth of Echo Sales and MED.

Osheaski and Lewis are joined by staff team members Patrick Virock,Adrian Manrique, Jennifer Fritz, Donna Lewis, Betty Yarborough, Don Geiger and Doug Hansen. Echo Sales has a presence in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota and small segment of Ohio. The firms specialize in Car, Motorcycle, Marine and RV products.

GRAYSLAKE, IL (09.01.22) – Adrian Manrique has joined the Echo Sales and Distribution Team as the firm’s inside sales rep. Adrian brings over 18 years of installation experience and vast product knowledge of Alpine, Aquatic AV, Hertz, VOXX, Metra and everything in between.

Alpine Names the 2021 Rep Firm of the Year

AUBURN HILLS, MI (12.16.2021) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. named their 2021 Rep Firm of the Year for the Brand (aftermarket) Business Unit during the virtual Brand Summit held on Dec. 08, 2021. The Rep Firm of the Year awards recognize independent and direct reps who have shown a strong commitment to the Alpine brand, providing exceptional sales and marketing growth.

“Despite the challenging sales environment that our industry has experienced this past year, our independent and direct reps have continued to navigate through the uncertainty with professionalism and poise,” said Ed Moriarty, Assistant Vice President of the Brand Business Unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. “We are thankful for their dedication to the Alpine brand and their strong contribution to its growth in 2021 and onward.”

During the ceremony, Echo Sales was named the 2021 Rep Company of the Year. The team from Echo Sales, Mike Lewis, Rob Osheaski, and Jen Fritz, was recognized for their incredible sales growth in 2021, especially in the sound system category, where they doubled their expected numbers. Echo was also recognized for their excellent commitment to support the Alpine brand.

“For the past five years, Echo Sales has produced consistent sales growth,” said Moriarty. “As this group is always looking for new ways to improve their organization and efforts, we expect they will continue to see great results in the coming years.”

Jason Fine was named the 2021 Direct Rep of the Year for his professionalism, strong communication, and consistent sales growth year after year. Fine was also praised for his strong support of his dealers and fellow reps through events, marketing promotions, and product support.

“Jason’s organization and communication skills granted him the lead on an important project this year,” said Moriarty. “Because of his strong work ethic and attention to detail, the project experienced a smooth transition and successful execution.”

Award recipients were chosen by Alpine senior leadership based on an evaluation of their sales, marketing, customer service, and communication for 2021.
