Oracle Lighting Announces New UTV LED Halo Kits for Polaris and Can-Am

METAIRE, LA (03.30.2020) – Oracle Lighting has announced its new LED Halo kits for multiple Side-by-Side UTV models including the Polaris Ranger (2014-2019), Polaris RZR (570 & 800; 2008-2019), Polaris RZR (900 & 1000; 2015-2019), and Can-Am Maverick X3 (2017-2020). All kits are now available.

“We are proud to follow up a tremendously successful 2019 SEMA Show with the announcement of these unique LED Halo kits for the UTV market,” said Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “These complete kits include everything you need to install and operate the halos on your rig, including surface mount DIY installation capability, Dynamic ColorSHIFT effects, Plug & Play wiring, plus a true white DRL LED function.”

The new ORACLE Lighting Dynamic ColorSHIFT Halos feature individually addressable LEDs which pack a ton of unique features. The Dynamic features allow the user to run multiple moving color patterns through the LEDs, creating a vivid eye-catching lighting effect. The RGBW Halos feature Oracle’s traditional RGB ColorSHIFT technology along with the addition of a Pure White circuit which allows for truer white tones, a crisp white DRL color option and the ability to instantly switch over to DRL mode.

Additional features include:

  • App Control; through the app you can easily make standard white colors as well as any static colors using the LED color wheel. What makes these DYNAMIC Halos more unique is that you can also display a variety of moving patterns within the app. With more than 200 different patterns, there is something to fit every color scheme imaginable.
  • Installation; ORACLE’s surface-mount Halos are encased in a special polymer resin, making them completely waterproof (can actually be submerged underwater) and easily install by attaching around the headlight lens using a patent-pending system. This makes installation simple for anyone and cuts down installation time from hours to just minutes.
  • Wiring; user-friendly installation features plug-and-play connectors for the halos and controller. Simply plug the Halos into the LED driver plug the LED driver into the controller. The power cables include ring terminals that simply attach to the easy-to-access power lugs. Then simply open the app in your smartphone to control the lights.

Alphasonik Impacted by California’s Safer-at-Home Order

GARDENA, CA (03.30.2020) – Covid-19 Operational Update from Rick Andersen, VP of Operations:

We at Alphasonik hope that everyone remains healthy and safe during this unexpected and unprecedented times. The effects of the Corona virus (COVID-19) have impacted our country in more ways than imaginable, and our first concern is for the wellbeing of the people-those affected and those caring for them.

As you know, the State of California recently adopted a “Safer at Home” order that took effect on Friday 3/20/202 at 11:59PM. Under this order, all non-essential businesses are to shut down facility operations and employees are ordered to stay home until April 19, 2020.

Alphasonik takes this responsibility very seriously and will comply with this order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. The impact to Alphasonik operations are as follows:

  1. Alphasonik sales staff are working remotely from home and remain in full operational contact. All normal means of communication are available.
  2. Alphasonik shipping will continue. We have implemented social distancing and hygiene protocols to our warehouse staff that will continue operational activities and functions as quickly and safely as possible. There may be a slight delay in processing shipments and returns, but we believe this is worth it to ensure the safety of our employees.

In the meantime, let’s all maintain a healthy, positive attitude and we will all make it through this difficult time together.

Alpine Electronics Now Shipping the R-A90S 6-Channel Amplifier

AUBURN HILLS, MI (03.26.2020) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is now shipping the R-A90S 6-Channel Amplifier. The R-A90S joins Alpine’s R-Series amplifier lineup that’s matched in both power and performance with the R-Series speakers and subwoofers for a “Loud and Fun” music experience.

All the Power You Need

Customers have grown to love the 5-channel amplifier solution due to its ability to provide total system power from a single amplifier. To add value and versatility to this category, without sacrificing the subwoofer power of a 5-channel, Alpine created a 6-channel amplifier with staggered power that has double the amount of power on the 5th and 6th channel. This allows the amplifier’s final two channels to provide a solid 500 watts to a single subwoofer at 4Ω when in 5-channel mode or 150 watts x 2 at 4Ω to mid-basses in 6-channel mode.

The R-A90S can be used in various layouts including a powerful 3-channel mode (200W x 2 @ 4Ω, 500W x 1 @ 4Ω), a 5-channel mode (75W x 4 @ 4Ω, 500W x 1 @ 4Ω), or utilize its onboard bandpass crossovers to independently power a 3-way component system in 6-channel mode (75W x 4 @ 4Ω, 150W x 4 @ 4Ω).

The result is the most versatile amplifier in its class, as it can act as both a 5-channel amplifier that can single-handedly power a full system as well as a 6-channel amplifier to power a 3-way active front stage. The unique channel layout is also beneficial to the mobile electronic specialist, as they can rely on one amplifier for multiple applications.

Unrivaled Performance

With the highest output in its category, the R-A90S drives power to the sound system to create a big dynamic music range for the listener while maintaining a proper sound stage between the singers and instruments in the music. 

The amplifier’s high damping factor (>500) produces crisp and clear notes, especially at low frequencies. This amplifier has an extremely low phase shift compared to its competitors, which keeps music focused and accurate for the most enjoyable listening experience.

The result is a powerful sound system that produces accurate sound images with minimal phase shift and internal noise throughout the amplifier’s Hi-Res compatible frequency response.

System Compatibility

The R-A90S has input capability to add the RUX-KNOB.2 Remote Bass Control Knob (sold separately). The remote bass knob controls the bass in the subwoofer by adjusting the gain on the amplifier for quick bass adjustments when needed.

DS18 Offers New Line of Chargers and Power Supplies

DS18 has a new line of charger that is killing the charging and power supply game. Now they have 3 models to fit your charging needs that provide either 60-amp, 80-amp, and a massive 200-amp power supplies that are also active chargers and maintainers.

These rugged and durable chargers have 3 modes. The first is for maintaining your batteries if they are being stored or your vehicle is parked for prolonged periods of time. The charger sends periodic 14v pulses to the battery to make sure it stays at its recommended resting voltage.

The second is for charging your batteries from a very low charged state. In this state of charging, the unit will keep pulsing either 13.8 or 14.4 pulses until the unit detects that the unit is fully charged and at its normal resting voltage, then from there it will stay in maintenance mode.
