12VOLT NEWS (12.13 23) – The Holiday Season is an opportunity for 12volt retailers to create a unique in-store experience for members of their local communities. Sound of Tri-State Folsom is taking that unique in-store experience to the next level outside and inside.

Holiday themed exterior store front lighting draws the attention of drivers along MacDade Boulevard from the road. In the showroom colorful holiday lighting, decorations and displays bring smiles to customers faces as soon as they enter the store.

Customers immediately entire showroom has a holiday season feel.
Demo vehicles and products are also spotlighted in holiday red and green.

Mike Fusto, Store Manager, related “A lot of planning and work goes into our Holiday Season showroom experience. It is definitely our team members all working together each year to make this happpen. When customers enter the store they see the entire showroom delivers the Holiday Season experience.

Making social media posts of Holidays themed images can definitely draw store traffic. Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales activity in 2023 set online sales records. Proactive 12volt retailers can spotlight the many advantages shopping with local brick and mortar retailers and drive sales.

The holiday season theme is also spotlighted as customers leave the store.

On Saturday December 16th Sound of Tri-State Folsom will cap their 2nd Annual Toy Drop Off to support the Sassy Massey Toy Drive. A 15’x10′ container is located in front of the store for toy drop off. During the Saturday event customers will receive a 20% discount on purchases when they drop off a toy. A bounce house, face painting, music, demo vehicles plus food and drinks will be enjoyed by customers.

The 12volt Central Studios staff will continue to spotlight proactive 12volt retailers working to create the Holiday in-store experience for members of their respective communities.

The Sound of Tri-State Folsom PA 2nd Annual Toy Drop Off Is Underway

FOLSOM, PA (12.12.23) – The Second Annual Toy Drive to support the Sassy Massey Toy Drive in Folsom PA is set to be much larger than 2022.

The Toy Drop Off Bin is located in front of the Sound Of Tri-State in Folsom PA highlighting 20 local companies participating in the Sassy Massey Toy Drive.

Mike Fusto, Store Manager, related, “We stepped up our game this year and it has started out bigger than last year. In front of the store we have a 15’x10’ container with large Toy Drop Off Bin signage to attract people wanting to support the Christmas giving effort. There are 20 local businesses highlighted participating in the Toy Drive and all are directing friends and social media followers to drop off a toy in the bin. A friend has a storage company and takes the Drop Off Bin Toys to the Sassy Massey collection location when the bin is full.”

Continuing, Fusto offered, “On Saturday, December 16th, we are promoting a toy drive here at the store. The showroom is decorated with ribbons and Christmas ornaments. Special Holiday price tags too. We are offering a 20% discount to all who bring and donate a for the Sassy Massey Toy Drive. The Saturday event will be family friendly and we will have a bounce house, face painting and music. In addition there will be police and fire company vehicles on site plus motorcycle and car demos happening in the parking lot. We will also offer free food and drinks.”

The 2023 crowd in the Folsom store is anticipated to be even busier than this image from the 2022 event.

Kicker Was Definitely Livin’ Loud at the AMA ArenaCross in Madison, WI

MADISON, WI (12.11.23) – The Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison was Livin’Loud for Round 3 of the 2024 KICKER AMA ArenaCross series Friday and Saturday nights December 8th and 9th.

Enthusiast arrived early Friday evening to participate in the Pit Party and meet riders.

Loren Morrell, who orchestrates the AMA ArenaCross events, related “It was a great to be back in Madison as the 2024 season is underway. Attendance was very good both nights and action on the track even better. The Pit Party drew enthusiasts to the track to get the evening started Friday night. Meeting riders and checking out their bikes is enjoyable for all on the track walking the massive mounds the riders would soon navigate. The KICKER booth in the lobby area had tables with products displayed for car, truck, marine and motorsports.”

During the Pit Party enthusiast had a chance to walk the track and experience the massive mounds that riders would be flying over.

Morrell added, “No doubt all that came to the event had a great night watching the track action and certainly connected with the KICKER brand. In addition on Friday night there was live TV and social media visibility of the Pro Racing action. Saturday night there was Pro and amateur action on the track.”

As the racing was set to begin attendees took seats in the stands.

On Friday and Saturday nights there were T-shirt tosses and lucky winners went to the booth with their certificate to pickup their prize. Friday night the prize was a KICKER Bullfrog with Tabor over the ear headphones the prize on Saturday night. Wes, who was on the PA system, once again did a great job adding excitement for the KICKER brand and add getting all engaged for the T-shirt toss.

“It’s always fun when T-shirt toss winners bring their certificate to the booth to pick up their prize. Friday night the winner received a KICKER Bullfrog. Saturday night’s winner received a set of KICKER Tabor over the ear headphones. The winner was wearing a KICKER lanyard I gave him earlier. At the booth he wrapped the KICKER prize with his KICKER lanyard and walked around the event with a big smile” Morrell concluded.

KICKER was definitely Livin’Loud at the AMA ArenaCross in Madison, WI.

The next stop for the 2024 KICKER AMA ArenaCross series is Loveland CO at the Blue FCU Arena on the weekend of January 5th.

The Q Power prize, designed and spec’ed for the KICKER L7, was shipped from Houston to The Best Guys store on Monday November 27th and arrived at the store on Friday December 1st.

As we unboxed it the quality of materials was apparent. The workmanship and bed liner finish were top shelf. The 2024 KICKER AMA ArenaCross Kicked Off In Boise, ID

NAMPA, ID (12.06.23) – The Idaho Center, in the Boise suburb of Nampa, was Livin’Loud for Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2024 KICKER AMA ArenaCross season Friday and Saturday nights December 1st and 2nd. Area retailer Sound Hound was in the KICKER booth with MADDOG Lorin Morrell.

Morrell, who orchestrates the AMA ArenaCross events, related “It was a great way to kick off the 2024 season. Friday night’s attendance was very good and Saturday night was even better. The Pit Party drew enthusiasts to the track to get the evening started both nights. Meeting riders and checking out their bikes is enjoyable for all. The KICKER booth in the lobby area had tables with products displayed for car, truck, marine and motorsports. Having Byll Thies and Zach Thies in the house with local dealer Sound Hound was terrific. Their store in Caldwell is only 8 miles from the Idaho Center in Nampa. They certainly did connect with a lot of people and enthusiasts from the area.”

Sound Hounds is celebrating our 28th Anniversary this year and several people we saw at the booth were friends and happy customers. KICKER is a go to brand in our store. In fact we have one wall in the showroom which is decorated for the Holidays that highlights many KICKER products and a marine display. Auto, truck, marine and motorsports products are all hot categories in Idaho and KICKER has products in all those categories… Bullfrog portables too. We thank KICKER for inviting us participate in this AMA ArenaCross and look forward to the next opportunity.”

Ricky Smith’s Audio in Lafayette LA has a long tradition of celebrating the Holiday Season with their community, customers and social media followers. The company is located in the popular South College Center which is home to a number of local retailers. The center’s parking lot spotlights the Holiday Season and encourages their businesses to display the Holiday Season in their respective showrooms. Santa’s Sleigh rolling through the parking lot has already happened this year and will happen every Saturday until Christmas. In the showroom we have quite a few boxes wrapped with Christmas paper. The boxes are actually empty and we save them from year to year. We are also setup for our annual support of the Marine Corps Reserve Toy’s For Tots drive. Christmas ornaments, ribbons and lighting around the showroom add to the overall Holiday Season look and feel. SkillsUSA Competitor Selected for WorldSkills 2024

LEESBURG, VA (12.01.23) – SkillsUSA has selected Nathan Bulthuis of Homer Glen, Ill. as the official competitor for Automobile Technology at the 2024 WorldSkills Competition. His technical expert is Mike Elder of Pittsburg, Kan. Bulthuis will represent the United States at the 2024 WorldSkills Competition. The prestigious international event will be held Sept. 10-15, 2024 in Lyon, France.

“The 2024 WorldSkills USA team will have an amazing opportunity to represent SkillsUSA and our nation while undergoing incredibly rigorous training in their craft,” said SkillsUSA Executive Director Chelle Travis. “These team members are making a serious commitment to both their skill development and personal growth that will foster their drive, passion and life’s purpose.”

NATHAN BULTHUIS is the official competitor for Automotive Technology at the 2024 WorldSkills Competition.

Bulthuis is a former student at Lockport Township High School and Joliet (Ill.) Junior College and is attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale with an expected graduation date of May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology. Bulthuis represented the state of Illinois at the SkillsUSA Championships in 2023 and won a national gold medal in the Automotive Service Technology competition. He says, “Being selected for the 2024 WorldSkills USA team is an amazing opportunity to learn more about my trade and to continuously improve my skills. It is also a great opportunity to be able to represent the United States in an international competition.”

The WorldSkills USA team will compete in several trade areas in the largest international showcase of skilled trades. SkillsUSA will announce the official team sponsors and other team members and their experts over the next few months.

The 47th WorldSkills Competition in 2024 will welcome 1,500 competitors from over 65 countries and regions to take part in 62 skill competitions at Eurexpo Lyon. The competition will showcase dozens of trade skills from construction and building technology, creative arts and fashion, information and communication technology, manufacturing and engineering, social and personal services, and transportation and logistics. Over 250,000 spectators from around the world are expected attend the 2024 competition including students, public policymakers, employers, teachers, trainers, technical experts and government officials.
