Jeepers Back the Blue at the Dover International Speedway

DOVER, DE (09.14.2020) – The Dover International Speedway was the site of the 4th Annual Jeepers Back The Blue event. Area retailer Audioworks of Delaware, with KICKER and Opus Marketing, was on site supporting the event and connecting with Jeep enthusiasts from across the region. Over 600 Jeeps were on site for the event on Saturday, September 12th.

The Jeepers Back The Blue Foundation event was organized by Jeff Lehnert to honor and raise money for the Families of fallen or injured Police Officers. Lehnert is a State Probation Officer with 23 years of service.

A  ceremony honoring fallen law enforcement members and families was held at 2PM Saturday.

“Jeep owners overwhelmingly support the efforts of law enforcement. Jeepers come together as a community at events across the U.S. The Dover International Speedway is well known in the area and offered a unique venue and experience for Jeepers to show support law enforcement, connect with members of their community and take a few laps around a NASCAR track in their rides. With over 600 Jeeps on site the event was certainly very successful. Over 400 Jeepers took 3 laps on the NASCAR Miracle Mile Track” Lehnert stated.

Audioworks of Delaware, with KICKER and Opus Marketing, offered great Livin’Loud deals to Jeepers.

Continuing “We had representatives from 10 Police agencies, a special Honor Guard Ceremony mid-afternoon, K-9 demos, food trucks and vendors. Audioworks of Delaware, with KICKER and Opus Marketing, was among a large number of vendors on site” Lehnert related.

Over 600 Jeeps were on site at the Dover International Speedway for the Jeepers Back The Blue event.

Jamie White and the Opus Marketing Team worked the event under the Audioworks of Delaware and KICKER tents. Darren Thomas, Audioworks of Delaware owner, along with Bruno Berg, Chuck Ottati, Todd Ess and White set up the tents Friday night. Bright and early Saturday morning the tables were stocked with KICKER products that led to a very successful day. At the end of the day all worked as the products were packed, the tents came down and all was loaded to wrap the event.

Over 400 Jeepers took their rides for a few laps on the ‘Miracle Mile’ at Dover.

“Sales were good for the day. In addition, Darren put the store’s brand in front of a large number of Jeepers that will lead to future business. Audioworks, in Newark DE, is less that an hour from Dover. KICKER makes a wide selection of products that really connect with Jeepers so it was a great match. Audioworks of Delaware also showcased the KICKER brand at the OC Jeep Week in Ocean City MD the previous week. Area Jeepers will definitely look to Darren’s store to get their Jeeps Livin’Loud with Kicker. Being able to jump in Bill Weidemoyer’s Gecko Jeep for a few laps around the Miracle Mile NASCAR track capped a great event. We look forward to next year” White offered.

DS18 “We Like It Loud” at the Daytona Truck Meet 2020

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (09.09.2020) – The famed Daytona International Speedway was home to the Daytona Truck Meet 2020 the weekend of September 4th-6th. The infield was packed with vendor tents and spectators along with a reported 5,000 trucks from across the U.S. Live entertainment and a burn-out pit were additional attractions to the tricked-out trucks for all to see.

The large DS18 booth featured 18 demo vehicles on the Daytona International Speedway infield.

DS18 showcased the company’s latest products and highlighted new truck products in a very large,160’x40′ booth. There were 12 DS18 tents set up in the booth to showcase 18 demo vehicles on site. Vehicles featuring DS18 products were on site from Texas, South Carolina and Illinois plus the surrounding area. Rob Ferro (Mr DS18), Hery Santiago and Luis Delgado travelled from DS18 HQ in Miami Gardens FL to work the event along with Efron Rivera. DS18 dealer Design X Restyling, located in Winter Gardens FL, handled onsite sales in the booth. Rob, Hery, Luis and Efron spent their time talking with members of the crowd about DS18 products and showing all “We Like It Loud.’

Members of the 18 Teams in the DS18 booth gathered for a photo op.

Ferro related “This was the first truck event for DS18 to have a booth and major presence. It was amazing to see the quality of the trucks with so much high dollar aftermarket gear and graphics. Then, in talking to owners of trucks valued at way over 100 grand, to learn they were listening to a stock sound system in their ride. The new DS18 RunAcross Bar was shown for the first time at a show. The RAM pickup, from Wilson Autosports in Fort Walton Beach, showcased the RunAcross Bar with DS18 10” speaker pods and it drew a crowd.”

Continuing, Ferro related “While at the event I had a chance to see other booths and it was so cool to see DS18 products included in show vehicles of other exhibitors. In the evenings I always went out with a DS18 shirt on all 4 nights and people would notice and ask me to come out and check out the DS18 products in their rides. DS18 is definitely connecting with enthusiasts.”

The DS18 Booth in the infield was 160’x40’!

During the event masks were required, plus social distancing was enforced, with random temperature checks also administered.

As a group Jeepers really work together. The event was from 9AM until 1PM. They packed 3 trailers full of much needed supplies for people needing help from Hurricane Laura. Right at the end a Harley Davidson group came with even more donations.”

Tables set up underneath tents in the Ricky Smith’s Audio parking lot on Saturday to help those impacted by Hurricane Laura in Lake Charles.

Audioworks of Delaware Sees Continuing Sales from OC Jeep Week

NEWARK, DE (09.08.2020) – Audioworks of Delaware joined KICKER and Opus Marketing in Ocean City, MD for Jeep Week 2020 August 27th-30th. KICKER was the Title Sponsor of Jeep Week 2020. However, due to COVID-19 travel limitations, KICKER was not able to have the same onsite presence with the XRV and staff as in past years of sponsoring the event.

The Audioworks of Delaware and Opus Marketing Teams under the main Kicker tent after setup.

Opus Marketing is the Kicker rep firm in the area and partnered with key dealer Audioworks of Delaware to maintain KICKER’s Livin’Loud presence as the Title Sponsor of OC Jeep for 4 years running.

Darren Thomas, Audioworks of Delaware owner, with the Matt Matheson standup. Due to COVID-19 travel limitations Matheson, KICKER Northeastern Regional, could not attend in person. The Opus Team commissioned the great standup.

“Audioworks of Delaware is located in Newark Delaware which is 115 miles from Ocean City. Darren Thomas, Audioworks owner, knows the value of connecting with consumers and especially Jeepers in the area. We put a plan in place to work OC Jeep Week together and it turned out very well…even though the weather knocked out the last day and a half of the 4-day event” Jamie White, Opus Marketing firm Principal related.

The Audioworks of Delaware Team Kyle Kessler, Tim Foltz and Darren Thomas (L to R) with Matt. Pete Herr from Audioworks could not be in the shot.

Thomas stated “It was a big step to take staff and inventory to Ocean City during a very busy time at the store. It turned out very well and could have been even better if the weather had cooperated. KICKER supplied 5 tents for our booth and onsite installation setup. Inventory was also made available to drive sales. We had a plan in place that offered after the event specials for attendees also. That plan generated strong sales the week following OC Jeep Week at our store.”

As long as the weather was good, the KICKER  installation tents were filled with Jeeps.

Audioworks of Delaware staff onsite included Thomas, Kyle Kessler, Tim Foltz and Pete Herr. The Opus Marketing Team onsite was comprised of White, Bruno Berg, Chuck Ottati and Todd Ess. A special standup was created for Matt Matheson and was in the booth. Matheson is the KICKER Northeast Regional who remained at KICKER HQ in Stillwater, OK.

The Opus Team by the Audioworks pickup. Chuck Ottati, Bruno Berg, Todd Ess and Jamie White (L to R).

Continuing Thomas stated “We worked very well with the Opus Team. It was kind of a competition as we all worked to drive sales and get everything done. The vibe at the event was very good. We do a number of Classic Car Shows in the area and connecting with the Jeep crowd is always a lot of fun. Exhibiting at OC Jeep Week turned out to be a very good investment. We thank KICKER and Opus Marketing for the opportunity.”

A stormy Saturday morning with strong winds and rain lead to an early end to the 4-Day 2020 Jeep Week.

White concluded “OC Jeep Week turned out very well even though the weather messed up tents and cut the event short. We look forward to OC Jeep Week 2021.”

Great to see KICKER and the Opus Marketing rep firm working side by side with retailer Audioworks of Delaware to create consumer awareness and drive sales. Hat’s off to KICKER, Opus Marketing and Audioworks of Delaware.

Alpine Electronics Now Shipping the Alpine Halo Preloaded Subwoofers

AUBURN HILLS, MI (09.03.2020) – Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is now shipping the Alpine Halo Preloaded Subwoofers Enclosures with ProLink. Preloaded with Alpine’s S and R-Series 10-inch (S-SB10V and R-SB10V) and 12-inch (S-SB12V and R-SB12V) subwoofers, these enclosures feature new ProLink technology that allows the customer to link two enclosures together using the 10-inch (KTX-H10) and 12-inch (KTX-H12) optional Linking Kit. Six individual products give the customer the flexibility to choose their desired level of bass.

Introducing ProLink
Alpine’s new ProLink technology was designed as an approachable and flexible upgrade path for the customer who has a single subwoofer but craves more bass in their sound system. While the previous option was to throw out the single enclosure and purchase a new dual enclosure, Alpine came up with a design that allows the customer to build on to their existing bass.

With Alpine’s new ProLink technology, the customer can link two single enclosures together using an optional Linking Kit (sold separately) to create a dual subwoofer enclosure. Unique to Alpine, this design gives the customer the flexibility in power and price to use a single subwoofer or add another subwoofer when more bass is desired.

New Alpine Halo Design Identity
The Alpine Halo platform has a unique design that’s known in the industry for sleek, tapered lines and a clean silver finish that modernizes the look and feel of any vehicle.

Taking cues from this groundbreaking design, the Alpine Halo Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink feature the same unique, curved edges, outlined by silver trim. This matching look creates a new Alpine Halo Design Identity and allows the customer to purchase a complete display and sound system that elevates the interior of the vehicle.

Optimal Sound Performance
As most preloaded subwoofer enclosures are similar in design and function, it can be difficult to find a uniquely designed enclosure that also optimizes your sound system’s performance. The Alpine Halo Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink are built for function and form.

The ported enclosure design features an optimized vent and rounded internal port edges that maximize the output performance of the subwoofer. The result is a higher total sound output for deep, powerful bass, reliable sound reproduction, and overall great sound quality.

Made from ¾-inch medium density fiberboard (MDF), the enclosures are built with sturdy, wooden, internal edge bracing around the corners of the enclosure for a system that’s built for reliable performance. Covered with a rugged, yet stylish black carpet cover, brush aluminum finish on the front baffle and finished with the Halo-inspired Silver trim, the subwoofers offer a custom look without the custom work.

Tuned for Alpine’s S and R-Series
The Alpine Halo Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures with ProLink come preloaded with an S-Series or R-Series 10-inch or 12-inch option which compliments each family’s complete sound system offerings.

The S-Series Preloaded Subwoofer Enclosures give the customer the best in performance value. With a preloaded S-Series subwoofer, the enclosures are tuned for optimized performance with Alpine’s S-Series speakers and are compatible with the S-A60M Mono Power Amplifier.
