Winner Named for 2020 SEMA Launch Pad

DIAMOND BAR, CA (11.04.2020) – Roland Hence, founder and director of FrontLane, Inc., was named winner of the eighth annual SEMA Launch Pad, presented by the SEMA Young Executives Network (YEN). The announcement was made Monday, Nov. 2, on SEMA360, the new online trade-only event focused on products for the automotive industry.

Roland Hence, founder and director of FrontLane, Inc., won the eighth annual SEMA Launch Pad, a program that gives young entrepreneurs age 18-39 an opportunity to launch their products into the automotive aftermarket.

With more than 80 applicants, the Launch Pad competition concluded with Hence pitching his invention to a panel of industry experts against the five finalists at the Petersen Automotive Museum. His winning product is a new technology for all vehicles.

“As an entrepreneur, you dream about this moment. I am incredibly proud of my team and grateful to SEMA for the platform to showcase our hard work and life-saving product,” said Hence. “I hope that with this incredible result we can take a meaningful step toward reducing rear-end crashes.”

Hence’s winning product, the Impulse – Emergency Brake Light, is a wireless, battery-powered emergency brake light that reduces rear-end collisions by pulsing eight ultra-bright LEDs under extreme braking situations to alert the following driver up to 50% quicker. Impulse can be installed on any passenger vehicle with a standard back windshield in seconds, and has a four-year battery life.

The premiere young entrepreneur automotive program offers innovators, entrepreneurs and inventors between the ages of 18-39 a platform at the world’s largest B2B gathering at the SEMA Show. This year’s SEMA Launch Pad competition included more than 80 applicants.

For his efforts, Hence will receive a prize package that includes $10,000 to be used to benefit the business, exposure to elevate their business and product to the next level with marketing opportunities to industry media outlets, turn-key exhibit space at the 2021 SEMA Show, a free advertisement in SEMA Newsmagazine, access to business tools and resources, and more.

ROBIDOUX Distributing will open its doors November 2nd from its brand new 37,000 Square Ft facility in Lincoln, NE.  With a focus on Local Dealers, ROBIDOUX’s business plan is to be loyal to selective 12-Volt brands while over servicing its dealers and building personal relationships.

ROBIODUX will offer select product lines for their dealers

“We are no stranger to the distribution business” explains owner Jamie Robidoux “My family has been in business for over 40 years and customer service has always been our #1 priority. Our goal here is to become a welcoming Local distributor that our retailers in the Midwest can count on.  A distributor that is passionate about their local dealer’s business and strive to stay connected with them as much as possible. Oracle Lighting Features New Sidetrack LED Lighting System for Jeep Wrangler JK During SEMA360 Online Event

METAIRIE, LA (11.03.2020) – Oracle Lighting will feature its new Sidetrack LED Lighting System for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK (p/n 5873-504) during the SEMA360 online event Nov. 2-6, 2020. With an MSRP of $199.95, Oracle Lighting is currently taking pre-orders with plans to ship Dec. 12, 2020.

“ORACLE Lighting’s new Sidetrack LED Lighting System is a stylish and functional upgrade for Jeep Wrangler JK models,” said Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “This tactical-inspired body cladding is equipped with multi-function integrated LED lights that provide benefits to both driver and passengers.”

The light modules consist of a pair of injection-molded inserts that fit in the original body lines for a seamless look with an option to create a functional fender vent. Matte black panels provide an aggressive look that adds a rugged and tactical appearance to the Jeep. Installation requires no modification to the fender sheet metal…the cladding simply applies with included VHB adhesive.

Click here to view the Oracle Sidetrack product page.

The LED “Entry Light” features high-output white LEDs which is a side-light intended to illuminate the area outside of the vehicle for the driver and passengers approaching the vehicle at night. This convenient feature allows the driver and passengers to identify puddles, potholes, and other hazards when entering and exiting the vehicle. The entry lights are connected to the vehicle’s dome light circuit so the entry lights will activate when the vehicle is unlocked, when the doors open, and can be manually turned on with the factory control knob.

The LED “Turn Indicator” addresses a potential safety issue with the U.S.-spec Jeep Wrangler JK models which do not have a clear indicator on the side of the vehicle. This can be inconvenient when changing lanes with a vehicle is positioned in the Jeep’s blind spot…this blind spot is increased substantially on lifted vehicles. By adding a bright amber indicator in a clearly visible position, the Sidetrack provides a needed visibility benefit for lifted Jeeps.

According to the SEMA360 website, with the 2020 SEMA Show live event in Las Vegas not taking place and the industry recognizing the need for a viable marketplace during these challenging times, SEMA360 was created. As an online ecommerce solution taking place Nov. 2-6, 2020, SEMA360 focuses on manufacturer/attendee/media relationships, new product introductions, project vehicle debuts, industry-leading education and unparalleled networking opportunities. SEMA360 will leverage the association’s exclusive manufacturer and attendee databases and media partnerships to provide participants with the best online experience and maximum value.

Oracle Lighting Announces New Rear Bumper LED Reverse Lights for Jeep Wrangler JL During SEMA360 Online Event

METAIRIE, LA (10.30.2020) – Oracle Lighting has announced the launch of the new Rear Bumper LED Reverse Lights for Jeep Wrangler JL (p/n 5874-504) during the SEMA360 online event Nov. 2-6, 2020. With an MSRP of $99.95, Oracle Lighting is currently taking pre-orders with plans to ship Dec. 12, 2020.

“A common complaint we hear from JL owners is low visibility when backing up at night,” said Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “There is not enough light from the reverse lights, even on the LED tail lights, for the factory camera to work well in the dark. We have developed a reverse light which seamlessly integrates into the bumper reflector area to provide more than 1,000 additional lumens when backing up at night. Utilizing a total of 22 high powered 3W LEDs, these small lights pack a big punch!”

If you are not satisfied with the light output of your factory reverse lights, Oracle Lighting has made it easy to replace the factory bumper reflectors with these high-output replacement auxiliary LED reverse lights. These durable lights feature a cast aluminum housing powdercoat finish and clear PMMA Lens. Installation uses factory mounting hardware and these lights tie into the reverse light wiring with the included T-taps. Note: Will not fit Willy’s or Sport models without rear bumper reflectors.

Additional features include:

  • Direct replacement lamp using existing hardware
  • Taps into existing reverse light power source without error code
  • Clean design with OE fitment and appearance
  • 11x 3W LEDs making 1,000Lm output each (theoretical)
  • Optic-focused wide beam pattern for extended field of view
