The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel rolled for 143rd time on Friday morning September 3rd. The Wheel landed on the 12volt News space. The Anthony’s Car Stereo slip was drawn from the jar and an Instagram post of the winning slip was posted. A video of the Wheel spin was also posted.
We reached out by phone and talked with Mike Kardous, store owner, at the store in the North Highlands CA. He was very happy to hear that a 12volt News $100. check prize would be heading his way.

The MRV Added KICKER Excitement at OC Jeep Week

OCEAN CITY, MD (09.03.2021) – KICKER was the title sponsor of OC Jeep Week 2021 that ran August 26th thru 29th at the Ocean City Convention Center. The KICKER XRV, with Boom Room and showroom, plus KICKER tents for the AudioWorks of Delaware crew to do Jeep installations, contributed to KICKER’s strong presence at the event.

Jeremy Wynn is all smiles with his Birthday present from Opus Marketing at OC JEEP Week.

An added touch was the extra special Birthday present Opus Marketing presented to KICKER’s Jeremy Wynn. How about a customized C3 RC Cooler with decked out matching trailer.

“When I saw the decked out RC rig I thought, WOW, how cool is that. When I learned it was a birthday present from Jamie and the Opus crew I was speechless,” Wynn, KICKER Events and Promotions Manager, who pilots the KICKER XRV, related. Adding “Maybe it’s the MRV for MIni RV!”

This tricked scooter was another Opus Marketing tool that created excitement at OC JEEP Week.

“We wanted to do something special for Jeremy who works so hard with us at events. The idea came up for a remote controlled cooler. Then we thought it needed some sound so we added the trailer. We purchased the C3 Cooler with trailer and took it and some KICKER products to Audio Unlimited in Elkton MD. Jeff Ewing has done other unique projects for us and knew he was create something very special…which he definitely did,” Jamie White stated. The KICKER great included KEYLOC Smart, amps and speakers. A lithium battery too.

People waited to experience the Boom Room and check out the product showroom in the KICKER XRV.

Ewing offered, “We didn’t have a lot of room in the C3 trailer but we figured out a way to make it all happen and applied KICKER graphics. No doubt this is one of the coolest projects we have done and it was great to learn everyone liked the finish product.”

“The KICKER setup at OC Jeep Week was like a 3 ring Circus. The XRV was Livin’Loud, lots of action as the AudioWorks crew was selling and installing for Jeepers plus Jermey’s KICKER RC cooler out on the grounds,” White relayed.

The KICKER team on site included Matt Matheson-Eastern Regional, Ken Bundy-Product Specialist, Jeremy Wynn and Josh Alexander who co-piloted the XRV. The AudioWorks team included Darren Tomas-Owner, Kyle Kessler, Tim Foltz and Peter Herr. The Opus Marketing team included Jamie White, Chuck Ottati, Bruno Berg and Todd Ess.

This new kit has been updated from Metra’s original 99-8227 dash kit design with a more modern radio opening and brackets, along with vent dial trim panels for a better fit. Oliver Marketing Acquires N&S Marketing and Forms New Distribution Entity Sound House

AUBURN, WA (09.02.2021) – Bob Oliver, President at Oliver Marketing, announced today that they have acquired the 12volt division of long time Pacific Northwest Rep firm N&S Marketing. With this acquisition, Oliver Marketing is adding the following vendors to the Oliver Marketing PNW 12volt portfolio; Kenwood, VOXX, Harman, Dynamat, Jensen, Dual, and Lucas Lighting. The veteran sales reps for N&S, Ryan Christie and Barry Lightfoot, will also be joining the Oliver Marketing team.

Oliver Marketing will also be taking over the distribution rights for those same brands which will allow Oliver to get back into the 12volt distribution business. Since the departure of Custom Plus Distributing from 12volt market, there has been a need to replace them in the Pacific Northwest. Oliver Marketing has formed a new entity called Sound House located in Auburn, Washington.

Sound House will be the distributor for all the lines being acquired. In addition, Sound House is the new Elite Distributor Alliance (EDA) member for the PNW which allows them a wider mix of lines including Metra and Triton.

This acquisition allows Oliver to be the representative for multiple brands for the entire West Coast including Rockford Fosgate and Kenwood.

Zorg Releases Digital Park Sensor System for Commercial and Heavy-Duty Vehicles

RALEIGH, NC (09.02.2021) – Zorg’s 8101 Industrial Park Sensor System was designed and built for today’s Heavy Duty vehicles to meet safety demands. Since 1998 Zorg has been supplying Parking Sensors for passenger vehicles and light trucks. The 8101 system was built to withstand the everyday abuse that service vehicles take with reinforced mounting brackets, heavier gauge wire, protective wire loom on all cables, and a waterproof module that mounts in the rear of the vehicle.  These features add up to an easier, cleaner, and more professional installation that takes less time than other products currently being installed.

Digital technology allows the system to learn obstacles such as hitches, tailgates, and other rear-mounted items that standard sensors would detect and alert to. A simple procedure allows the system to recognize these items as part of the vehicle without reducing the range or sensitivity.

The 8101 detects obstacles as far away as 8 feet from the rear of the vehicle and can also be used on the front of a vehicle where a 5-foot range protects the driver from front-end collisions. An in-cab warning beeper alerts to obstacles with four zones of protection (slow beep to steady tone), and an LED displays a warning simultaneously. The 8101 also supports the direct connection of a reverse alarm at the module for behind vehicle warning and an optional Digital display for the driver.

Brooklyn Car Audio’s Ramzi Khalil Is a Big New York Jets Fan

BROOKLYN, NY (09.02.2021) – The NFL season is just around the corner and Ramzi Khalil is ready to play ball. “I have been a big New York Jets fan for years and have a large Jets logo on my 2019 Toyota Highlander,” Ramiz related to The 12volt News.

This is the second personal car Ramzi has spotlighted with a Jets logo. The last car was totally decked out with a full 12volt system and upgrades. “When I pulled into the MetLife Stadium parking lot people would definitely hear the system pound plus an occasional bump of the airhorn. Also I made posts on New York Jets social media groups. Many followers would see my car posts and want to know more,” Ramiz offered.

When the new Highlander audio system is competed the vehicle will once again be available as a demo for customers at the store. “In the parking lot at the store my car is a great demo for 12volt upgrades we offer. At the store many of us are Jets fans and we have gone to games as a group. We are definitely ready for the Jets season to get underway,” Ramiz concluded.
