HOLLY HILL, FL (08.25.2021) – Metra Electronics is now shipping a new dash kit designed to upgrade 2021-up* Ford E-Series Cutaway models to fit a larger Double-DIN aftermarket radio.
The 95-5860G dash kit uses a trim panel to cover the minor cutting modifications required to fit the larger radio into the factory dash panel. The trim panel is textured, painted gray, and made from the highest quality ABS plastic to match the original factory appearance.

LIMA, OH (08.24.2021) – The Custom Audio Concepts 3-Day Tent Sale took place Thursday through Saturday, August 19th-21st. The company’s store is located at a very busy intersection in Lima OH. The Memphis Xtreme Audio Trailer and Rockford Fosgate Sound Lab were positioned outside along with numerous tables stacked high with specials under tents.
Mark Wallace, Custom Audio Concepts GM, who orchestrated the event offered, “We were stupid busy. I have been in this industry for 23 years and have never seen an event this busy…and register such strong sales. I know we did as much business in the 3 days as some stores do in a month… totally amazing!”

Ed Dalesandro, End Result, delivered the Memphis Extreme Trailer on Thursday following a strong Flash Sale event at Columbus Car Audio in Columbus OH the day before. Al Congdon, with the Progressive Group, drove the Rockford Fosgate Sound Lab and worked the event.
“The Memphis Xtreme Trailer is really a deluxe showroom on wheels with live product demos inside along with video presentations on a large screen. Memphis Xtreme Audio PowerSports products are spotlighted and the trailer’s custom wrap features PowerSports. We experienced strong sales as many customers took advantage of great event specials,” Dalesandro related.

The Custom Audio Concepts location attracted a lot of visibility from the street.
Al Congdon stated, “Seemed we were busy every hour the event was open. The Rockford Fosgate Sound Lab grabs eyeballs and puts smiles on faces when customers experience the sound. Mark told me several times during the event he had never seen a selling atmosphere like this. Almost like a crazy Black Friday Midnight Sale.”
“There were 4 store staff members working the event plus the days that Ed and Al were showing and selling systems. We promoted the event on Facebook and Instagram with just a few radio spots. We timed the event the weekend just after the 15th to benefit from any paycheck and stimulus checks. We had s Spring Garage sale but the sales there did not come close to this 3-Day Tent Sale. Memphis MOJO products, and a lot of Rockford Fosgate amps and subs, drove the crazy sales. Some Kenwood and Sony head units, we were able to stockpile for the event, added to the sales,” Wallace concluded.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO (08.23.2021) – The Mesa County Fairgrounds was the site of the KICKER ArenaCross Supercross on Saturday, August 21st. The ground crew reworked the dirt after Friday rain to set the track for a great evening of racing.
The Mesa County Fairgrounds was a great venue for the event.
KICKER had a major presence on site with trailer, RZR and tent in the lobby area. Local KICKER dealer Konnected Auto Restylin supplied a number of banners that were displayed along the track with KICKER banners. Maddog_Media’s Lorin Morrell was joined on site by Konnected Auto Restylin owner DJ Klamforth and Matt Macias from Santa Fe Distributing’s Denver branch. All there were under the tent in the lobby from 3 until after 10 PM.

Morrell stated, “This was one terrific KICKER ArenaCross event. There were so many preliminary runs on the track in the afternoon to set the field for the evening racing. The spectator stands trackside were full and so enthusiastic. The KICKER tent in the lobby was right in between to the beer garden and snack bar. As people lined up to get refreshments and snacks they certainly could not miss the KICKER tent. After they finished their snacks many came to the tent for specific information about the Kicker Car, Marine, Powersports and Lifestyle products we had on the tables. DJ, Matt and I talked with so many people. During the afternoon activities we had so many demos on the KICKER RZR. KICKER was definitely Livin’ Loud in Grand Junction.”

Konnected Auto Restylin is a relatively new retailer in Grand Junction and working very hard to create excitement in the marketplace for the company’s brand and aftermarket products. In fact on Sunday, the day following the KICKER ArenaCross, DJ hosted a SPL event at his store.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA (08.20.2021) – Despite a strong number of early registrations, the Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) announced today that it is rescheduling its largest KnowledgeFest event in Dallas from August 27–29 to later in the year on December 10–12. The reason for rescheduling is due to the spike in new COVID-19 cases in the Dallas County area along with several manufacturer cancellations, mostly due to global travel bans.
“Although the protocols where in place to assure a safe event, we respect the decision that many manufacturers regretfully made to not attend”, said Chris Cook, MEA President. MEA recently surveyed registered attendees and found that three (3) out of four (4) retailers still planned on attending the event in Dallas, and the top three reasons for attending were Education Workshops, Manufacturer Training, and the Exhibit Show Floor. “What is most important is to have a successful event for all that attend” stated Cook.
The industry is looking forward to the next KnowledgeFest event in Indianapolis on October 8–10 where attendance has grown over the last five events.
Registration is open at KnowledgeFest.com for the next three events. Attendees will not have to register again for Dallas in December and will be contacted for confirmation before the event.
