1sixty8 Media Adds Social Media Management to Service Mix

LEIGHTON, PA (05.16.22) – Mobile enhancement, car audio and window tint retail stores have a new resource to enhance their visibility in the online world: the new social media management division of 1sixty8 media, which launched this month.

“We are very excited about offering this service to the mobile enhancement industry and those who provide related services to vehicle owners,” said 1sixty8 media owner Mitch Schaffer. “Social media is important to building a business, but often not an area where retail store owners are strong. It makes sense to find a partner who can provide that service on a professional, skilled level. We want to be that partner so our colleagues in the industry can have a reliable, trustworthy resource without taking time and attention away from running their business.”

Kyler Burk, a recent addition to the 1sixty8 media team, heads up the social media management division. “This new service is the final piece of the puzzle at 1sixty8 media, and Kyler fits in well with our unique and talented team,” said Schaffer. “Before this partnership, our clients had to find another provider for social media management. Now all of their digital media marketing can be kept under one roof.”

Music and audio have been passions of Burk’s for as long as he can remember. He played piano and percussion since early elementary school, and collected and traded home theater speakers in junior high school. When he started driving, that passion quickly translated into car audio. “I worked on all my own projects, and even worked for two local car audio installation shops in high school — in between band practices, of course!” he recalled.

After graduating from college, Burk moved into a new phase of life by starting his own digital and social media marketing agency. Joining 1sixty8 media is a natural move. “Partnering with 1sixty8 media is the perfect opportunity to take my digital skills and marry them with my love for car audio,” he said.

The new service, Schaffer noted, is totally upfront about all aspects. “We charge our clients for social media management and our clients pay Facebook directly for promoted posts and boosting. We make money by effectively managing accounts, not by padding Facebook promotion fees,” he said. “We’re going to market with social media management just like we do with all of our services: with integrity, honesty and transparency.”

Also like other programs from 1sixty8 media, the social media management offering is scalable and affordable. “Even the smallest retailers can afford our services and then grow their use of 1sixty8 media as their businesses grow,” Schaffer said.

The new social media management division is part of 1sixty8 media’s 10th anniversary this year. “We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our first 10 years in business than making it even more possible for colleagues to increase their visibility and success in the important world of social media,” said Schaffer.

To find out how the 1sixty8 media social media management program works, contact Mitch Schaffer at mitch@1sixty8.com or 570-656-6900, or submit a contact form — and prepare to see a store’s visibility and customer base take a quantum leap toward greater profits and success.

The 2022 Pacific Northwest Mobile Electronics Expo Earned High Marks Across the Board

SEATTLE, WA (05.13.22) – The 2022 Pacific Northwest Mobile Electronics Expo, featuring Mobile Electronics, rolled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9th-11th, at the Doubletree by Hilton at South Center in Seattle, WA. Officially this was the ninth event which followed a two year hiatus due to COVID 19.

This image only shows a small portion of the active event show floor.

Mark Giovannetti, Pacific Rim Marketing, and Dan McMillan In Phase Marketing spearheaded the very well attended event. Valentina Giovannetti contributed greatly behind the scenes.

Mark Giovanetti related “During the event we received such positive comments from all industry segments on site. During the move out, which went smoothly, Dan and I received even more positive input. Many exhibitors asking about plans for 2023. Valentina Giovannetti polled all 35 exhibitors and the event was wrapping and all offered high marks.

The Monday evening kickoff event learned bike installation best practices.

This year the event kicked off with a special Monday evening launch event themed ‘Harley Davidson Audio Install Deconstruction’ presented by Sam Walker and Ryan Klein. Walker related “We had right at 40 in the room for our session. We had the Road Glide ‘deconstructed’ so we could go through each element of doing a motorcycle installation the right way. Attendees spent time checking out the bike and asking questions about various elements of the installation. Ryan answered a lot of questions about the sales process on the retail sales floor. Doing this in the future we will probably have a second session geared to the retail sales for and pricing installation labor.” Following the session the Road Glide, still deconstructed, was placed on the event floor for more visibility.

The Jensen booth connected users on their journey.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s action featured factory and industry training events. Trainings began at 9 AM in rooms off the show floor. The Expo Showroom opened at 10AM both days with over 35 vendors displaying their latest products.

On Thursday McMillan had lunch with area retailer Car Toys and the Compustar team. “Both of them said they were very pleased with the turnout and information that was disseminated. They indicated is was a win for vendors and retailers alike. The JL Audio Max training was a hit too. There was a total of 68 who attended their event.”

The Sound System Unlimited Ferrari Roma was very special at the IASCA event.

On Tuesday Travis Chin, from IASCA, was on site. Dealers and their customers cranked up their rides for a TEST THE BEST event outside with Travis judging the entries. A special attraction was System Unlimited’s Charles Maddy showing the beautiful work on a customer’s Ferrari Roma. The Doubletree provided a large outdoor space for this activity that gave attendees plenty of space to check out the sound systems.

The 12volt News staff made a number of social media posts from the event floor. @12voltnews on Instagram and Facebook. #pnwcee2022 to see a growing number of posts.

A huge 12volt Studios hats off to Mark Giovannetti-Pacific Rim Marketing and Dan McMillan-In Phase Marketing, for spearheading the PWNCEE event series. A huge thank you also to the vendors and retailers who invested their time and resources to grow the 12volt industry.
