Car Toys Tulsa Sponsored The 1st Annual Rides For Hope Event

TULSA, OK (09.24.24) – Car Toys Tulsa hosted the 1st Annual Rides For Hope event at their location on Saturday, September 21st. Well over 80 bikes and vehicles were in the parking lot at the company’s Tulsa location.

Midday the area surrounding the Car Toys location was filled with cool rides and bikes.

Mark Adams, Store Manager, related “The event far exceeded our expectations. We raised over $5000 for the Rides for Hope initiative. This group will utilize the proceeds to buy used cars and or repair cars that will be donated to drivers who have completed their rehabilitation program.”

Mark Adams shows many of the raffle prizes that filled the top and underneath the table in the showroom.

The entire Car Toy Tulsa property and adjoining businesses were filled with vehicles and people on site checking out the activities. Inside the store, people came inside to buy their raffle tickets and check out specials for the day. During the day many quotes and estimates for new purchases were made to consumers in the showroom.

Rockford Fosgate had a major presence at the event.

The event happened from 9 AM to 4 PM and the Brothers Just Wingin’ It food truck was on site. Staff members Chance, Bill, Matt, Gabe, Frank and Mark worked the event along with owner Lisa Stewart. A post event dinner at Lucky’s capped the very full day.

A local friend, Damon’s Droneography, also was overhead with his drone taking amazing images and footage. Events of this type provide a way for 12volt retailers to connect with members of the community, sponsor local causes and drive long term business.

Former KICKER Executive to be Honored with Hall of Fame Induction

STILLWATER, OK (09.23.24) – This weekend, Stillwater Designs, the maker of KICKER mobile-audio products, is proud to recognize the selection of Rob Limbaugh for induction into the Mobile Electronics Association (MEA) inaugural class of the Mobile Electronics Industry Hall of Fame, honoring individuals whose contributions have profoundly shaped the industry. Selected by a distinguished nomination committee, including executive leadership from the Mobile Electronics Association, this first class is dedicated in memoriam of the manufacturing sector.

Rob Limbaugh, who passed away in December of 2021, was an 18-year KICKER employee and longtime industry veteran, first serving as National Sales Director at Stillwater Designs before ultimately ascending to Director of Business Development and Vice President. Limbaugh started his audio career in 1975 at Pacific Stereo in Fresno, Calif., and his passion for audio led him to become Vice President at Linear Power for six years. After that he led Polk Audio’s car-audio division for more than a decade before joining KICKER’s sales team.

“These visionary leaders have left an indelible mark on the mobile electronics industry,” said Chris Cook, President of the Mobile Electronics Association. “Their innovations, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication have shaped the landscape of our industry and continue to inspire future generations.”
