Sparks brings a strong repertoire of sales and leadership experience to the position in addition to six years of service to the Alpine Brand Aftermarket Division.

Afterward, Sparks transitioned to a Senior Sales and Marketing Analyst in 2022, extending his support to the entire Alpine dealer base in North America. In 2024, Sparks spearheaded the “New Business Development” team, a new department that sought to showcase the Alpine product line to a new audience to strengthen the brand’s reputation and create new opportunities.

Devastating Flooding Hits Greg‘s Custom Audio in Pikeville Kentucky

PIKEVILLE KY (March 10,25) Pikeville is a small town in the eastern part of Kentucky of roughly 7000 people. The devastating flooding on February 14th left the community submerged in water. Dozens of swift water rescues were made as a result of the heavy rain flooding entire neighborhoods.

When Greg Tackett was able to see his store from an overpass there were 2 people paddling a kayak in front of his store in swift moving waters.

Greg’s first look at his store.

“Seeing our store with the water halfway up the windows on the front of our store was devastating. We knew it would be a couple of days before we could even drive up to the store and see the damage. When we were finally able to enter the store, we saw the showroom was virtually demolished and boxes of products were floating on the floor. In the Install bay all the tools from the toolboxes were gone and the hoist inoperative. We lost two company trucks and the vehicles for two customers in the Install bay were also a lost. We had flood insurance but not contents. As soon as we could we cleaned and put racks, displays and products outside for a flood sale. Frequent social media posts have been made to help get the word out about the flood sale” Greg related.

After the first day of work, the parking lot was clear, but the double glass windows in the doors were filled with water.

The sales counter, display cases and products on the floor as friends gathered to help with the cleanup.

Products are cleaned for the flood sale.

As the news of the floor spread friends and customers came to the store to help. Many brought lunch and other items to help the Greg’s crew. Day after day, the crew has continued the process of the rebuilding process to reopen.

Greg’s Custom Audio team members paused for a quick image as a cleanup continued. Austin, Anthony, Kim, Tammy, Greg Tackett and Larry (LtoR).

DD AUDIO PROUDLY RELEASES The MC-106b 6.5” Loaded Tower Marine Cans

March 10, 2025 – Oklahoma City, OK – DD AUDIO®, a manufacturer of high-quality mobile audio products is proud to introduce the MC-106b, 6.5″ loaded tower marine cans. The MC-106b cans are light weight, compact, high output, wide bandwidth water-resistant speakers designed for outdoor use in harsh environments. Each component of the design was engineered to optimize the performance and durability. Aesthetically, the speakers are enhanced with remote controlled multifunction RGB LEDs in the grill and rear logo panels. The reinforced ABS injected cabinet comes with an integrated metal clamp featuring 45 degree locking tilt for secure and long lasting mountability.

Sound quality of the MCs was a priority in the design process where DD AUDIO opted for premium parts to be used. The 6.5” midwoofer cone is an injected molded poly composite. Selected for being light weight yet highly rigid, this poly composite material is internally dampened to yield an optimal combination of high output and smooth midrange response. The motor system uses a large OD for high magnetic flux to high overall efficiency and control. The 25mm dome tweeter also uses an oversized motor to play at high levels without strain.

The MC-106b 6.5s are tuned for full, rich sound belying their compact size. High efficiency design requirements enable high output on modest amplifier power while the overall light weight prevents the system from being too top heavy.
