TAMPA, FL (12.12.2019) – Kicker Marine Audio had a major presence at the Marine Retailers Association of America Dealer Week at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa FL December 8th-11th. The MRAA Dealer week is 4 days of education, networking, business solutions and celebration for marine industry professionals. The MRAA is in its 43rd year of producing dealer-focused educational programming.

Jeremy Bale-Marine Audio Brand Manager, Lori Boyer and Colin Wilson traveled from Kicker World HQ in Stillwater OK to work with marine dealers from across the US. Kicker Marine Audio displayed the latest products in the lineup on the show floor and sponsored the evening industry celebration on Tuesday evening along with the band. Over 600 dealers and staff members benefitted from checking out the latest products, taking advantage of the educational platform and enjoyed an entertainment event on Tuesday evening.

At the Tuesday evening festivities, Kicker held a Text Promo. Attendees sent a text to win a set of Kicker earbuds. There were over 200 texts sent.

Momentum Marketing on the Road with AudioControl

PROSPER, TX (12.10.2019) – The week of December 2nd Momentum Marketing and AudioControl hit the road in North Texas and Oklahoma with a series of dealer sales calls and two training sessions. Momentum Marketing’s area sales representative Gary Biggs and AudioControl’s National Trainer Matt Palumbo traveled several hundred miles as they made 10 sales calls highlighting the Audio Control lineup. Two scheduled evening AudioControl training meetings added to the very productive swing through Wichita Falls, TX along with Lawton, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK.

Dealer stops included Audio Connections, Audio Source and NET Audio in Wichita Falls. Oklahoma stops included Mobile Phonix and High Volume in Lawton followed by 405 Car Audio, Intense Audio Audio and Wheels, Intense Audio and Audio Extreme in Oklahoma City. Car Toys in Tulsa was the final stop.

It was a packed house at the AudioControl training at Car Toys in Tulsa. Car Toys owner Charles Stewart is pictured second from the right along with Matt Palumbo far right. Gary Biggs was the excellent photographer behind the lens.

Biggs offered “We covered a lot of ground and were very well received at each dealer stop as retailers are very excited about AudioControl’s product lineup. At each stop Matt gave an overview of all the Audio Control products and went into depth on how dealers can utilize the new DMRTA. At the trainings at Mobile Phonix in Lawton and Tulsa Matt was able to really go in depth on the DMRTA” for dealers who attended.”

The installation bay at Car Toys was a great set up for the evening AudioControl training. Matt conducted the meeting with a great projector and screen.

The Tulsa AudioControl training was held at Car Toys in Tulsa the evening of December 5th . Owner Charles Stewart and the crew cleared out the installation bay. They set up tables and chairs for the well attended product training. Area dealers attending included the Car Toys staff along with staff members from Audio Advice, Boomers Audio, The Audio Shop and Sallisaw Car Audio.

Stewart stated “It was a super meeting. Matt was on point and did a great job covering the AudioControl products. Car Toys recently came back on board with AudioControl and are very happy we did. The meeting lasted over 3 hours and it was very productive for all. We brought in eats and there were raffles for AudioControl prizes. Gary did a great job getting all together for the training at our store.”

Mike Slater, center, accepted the SEMA Truck and Off-Road Alliance (TORA) Retailer of the Year award on behalf of Eastern Truck and Accessories during the third annual TORA Awards at the 2019 SEMA Show.

“The growth of the light-truck and off-road markets wouldn’t be possible without the continuous efforts of our supporting manufacturers and industry influencers,” said TORA Chairman Erika Marquez. “We are pleased to honor the individuals whose creativity, industriousness and accomplishments have contributed to the success of the light-truck and off-road aftermarket.”

The Retailer of the Year Award, which recognizes a light-truck retailer whose accomplishments have enhanced the stature and growth of the industry, was awarded to off-road shop Eastern Truck and Accessories, from Norfolk, Virginia. In addition to participating in 25–30 local shows per year, Eastern Truck Accessories gives back to the community by donating to local charities, sponsoring youth events and raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Jason Sakurai of Roadhouse Marketing was named Influencer of the Year. As a journalist, Sakurai focuses 100% on trucks, SUVs, off-road and associated markets, including SXS and UTV. He currently writes for OutdoorX4 magazine and their online publication, where he also serves as an ad director.

The TORA Hall of Fame was awarded to Joel Ayres. With more than 40 years of experience in the truck and accessory aftermarket, Ayres’ contributions have earned him leadership roles, including on the SEMA Board of Directors. He is the founder and first chairman of SEMA Cares and has served as a chair of the SEMA Scholarship Committee and LTAA Select Committee. Ayres is active in his community, volunteering his time to multiple education outlets and youth outreach programs.

Jon Engen is the winner of the TORA Ron Webster Memorial Award for Engineering Excellence. A former civil engineer, Engen presented effective solutions to decreasing the weight of truck bed drawers, eventually leading to the success of DECKED. Engen was a veteran of the Norwegian Army and alumni of the University of Oslo.

The award for the Best Off-Road New Product was presented to Warn Industries Inc. for the Spydura Nightline Synthetic Winch Rope. Made from molecular-weight polyethylene with UV-stable coating, the red-and-black weave integrates a 3M light-activated reflective strand into the rope improving visibility during recoveries.

Bestop Premium Accessories Group was awarded Best Light Truck New Product for its Jeep Gladiator Bedside Storage Lockboxes.
