HOLLY HILL, FL (11.10.2020) – Metra Electronics has just launched a universal floating mount kit designed specifically for Pioneer’s 9-inch modular solutions in-dash receiver, the DMH-WC6600NEX. This kit features a patent-pending design to fit into more than 250 of Metra’s existing Double-DIN dashboard kits for 1990 to current vehicle applications.
The 109-UN02, similar to the current Metra 108-UN02 universal floating mount kit, is designed to “float” the DMH-WC6600NEX modular touchscreen display panel in front of a vehicle’s original radio location using a series of included brackets, plus provide the ability to easily mount the Pioneer hide-away chassis into the radio/pocket location of the Metra dash kit. This kit completely encases the 9-inch modular touchscreen and with this universal solution, an installer can utilize almost any existing Metra Double-DIN kit with the 109-UN02 to add Pioneer’s DMH-WC6600NEX into the vehicle. The 109-UN02 was introduced at SEMA360 and is now shipping.

SEMA Industry Awards Announced at Special Celebration Although unable to celebrate in-person in Las Vegas, hundreds of viewers watched on the SEMA Show YouTube Channel as the SEMA Awards Celebration took place online.

The Top 12 finalists will judge one another with the winner named the Top Builder in the 2020 SEMA Battle of the Builders competition on Friday, Nov. 6.
LAS VEGAS, NV (11.06.2020) – Micah Boren has been with Cardoza and Company for a little over 1-year. The manufacturer rep had rooms booked far in advance at the Palms Palace Hotel and Spa in anticipation of the 2020 SEMA Show. When the show was cancelled at the LVCC, Boren called the hotel to cancel his room but found out it was non-refundable. Micah and his wife Gina decided to turn lemons into lemonade and make a trip out of it anyway and drive from Porterville, CA to Vegas and spend some time in Sin City since the room was already paid in full.

A week before the trip Boren contacted Robin McNeal, Nakamichi Car Audio National Sales Manager, and asked if they could meet up during his Vegas stay. Nakamichi is one of the many lines represented in Northern California by Cardoza and Company. McNeal, a resident of the Las Vegas, quickly agreed 100%.
McNeal and Boren met for a little over 3-hours and discussed customers in Boren’s central valley territory and some of the new products Nakamichi has coming to market. In particular they went over the new NSE-Series speaker line which is scheduled to deliver in early 2021.
Boren related to 12volt News “I have been in the industry nearly 20 years and now just a little over a year as a rep in the territory. I really enjoy meeting with our dealers one-on-one in their stores. I pull up in my 2017 Honda Accord Sport and bring dealers out to the vehicle to hear products we rep ‘Live’. Seeing them smile when they hear a favorite tune let’s me know we are connecting. The Nakamichi brand has a story to tell and our dealers see the value the brand brings to their sales floor for their customers. In the end this business is all about people.”

METAIRIE, LA (11.05.2020) – Oracle Lighting will feature its new ColorSHIFT RGBA DRL upgrade for the 2020-2021 Toyota Supra GR (p/n 1400) during the SEMA360 online event Nov. 2-6, 2020. With an MSRP of $199.95, this kit is now shipping.
“The new type of installation process for this Supra ColorSHIFT DRL is incredibly simple,” explained Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “The installer does not need to dissemble the headlights because this type of DRL upgrade can be accessed from the back side of the headlamp. Simply remove the factory DRL circuit board and install our ORACLE ColorSHIFT RGB+A circuit board using the original hardware and connect the boards to your ColorSHIFT controller and you are done. I wish that all of the headlight installations could be this easy.”
Oracle Lighting’s ColorSHIFT RGBA DRL upgrade allows you to set the lights to be one single color, or use one of the ColorSHIFT controllers to program hundreds of different colors and patterns. Then simply switch the lights back to white for legal on-road use. The RGB+A design includes turn signal functionality so that the DRL maintains an amber flasher feature like the factory turn signal.
