Charles J. Bonfiglio, CEO and President of Tint World

“Our placement on this list is a representation of how hard our corporate team and our franchisees have worked together over the past two years,” said Charles J. The companies on the list show stunning rates of growth across all industries in Florida. Between 2017 and 2019, these 250 private companies had an average growth rate of 202%, and in 2019 alone, they employed more than 83,000 people and added nearly $11 billion to the Florida economy.

“Tint World grew by over 20% in 2020 with multiple franchise locations. We can contribute much of this growth to the measures we took during 2020,” said Bonfiglio. “We were deemed an essential business in 2020, so it was important for us to figure out what we needed to do to operate within the industry. We also focused on increased social media marketing and ppc advertising campaigns, letting our customers know our locations were essential businesses and remaining open. It was also important to offer them peace of mind knowing that we were adhering to the latest CDC guidelines and city mandates. We believe using a positive mindset and the knowledge we’ve gained in 2020, we’ll be able to double our growth in 2021.”

Oracle Lighting Announces Oculus 7-Inch Bi-LED Projector Headlights for Jeep Wrangler JK

METAIRIE, LA (03.18.2021) – Oracle Lighting has launched its new Oculus 7-inch bi-LED projector headlights (p/n 5876-001). Now available for pre-order and scheduled to ship in April 2021, the new headlights are designed for 2007-‘18 Jeep Wrangler JK, 1997-‘06 Jeep Wrangler TJ (w/ H4 wiring adapter), and classic cars/trucks (w/ H4 wiring adapter and some modification) and have an MSRP of $489.95.

“Our new Oculus features advanced LED projection with 4,800 Lumens of high-quality illumination for enhanced driver visibility in all weather conditions,” explained Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “Oculus is a complete headlight replacement with better light focus than a simple bulb upgrade. These lights also use the original factory beam angle adjustability for proper light focus on lifted Jeeps.”

Light focus is very important for not only driver safety but others on the road who can potentially have their vision obstructed by glare. “This is especially significant on lifted vehicles where the light source is raised and in a position to interfere with the field of vision of other drivers,” Hartenstein continued. “The new Oculus headlights feature a very sharp cut-off line and focus light with industry-leading precision specifically to avoid such issues.”

Oculus’ LED light source has lower power demands compared to the factory halogen lamps while providing more light output. Oculus features precision Bi-LED projectors for optimum light distribution and beam angle. These seven-inch headlights install in any seven-inch headlight trim ring using original mounting hardware. The Halo DRL features more than 200 bright white LEDs for a vivid lighting impact.

“It is undeniably important to implement proper thermal management tools for high-performance LEDs to operate with reliability in various environments,” Hartenstein concluded. “Oculus utilizes both active and passive cooling methods to sustain low LED temperatures. Remote mounted heat sinks and an internal cooling fans work in conjunction to insure proper temperature control and longevity of the LEDs.”

Additional features and specifications include:

  • Wattage: 36W Each
  • Color Temp: 5500K
  • Certification: DOT SAE HL VOR 19
  • Warranty period: Two years
  • Multi-national patented design

Younger Generation of Classic Car Enthusiasts, New Technology Pave Road for New Business Opportunities

DIAMOND CAR, CA (03.17.2021) – With more than 9.4 million pre-1990 vehicles estimated on the road today, more consumers and businesses report that they are modifying classic cars with modern parts and technology. While a significant number of consumers and businesses continue to restore classic cars to their original factory specifications, a growing number are customizing the vehicles to include upgraded engines with enhanced performance, increased efficiency, and modern-day comforts (a practice often referred to as “restomodding”).

The “Classic Cars, Modern Markets” report from SEMA Market Research reveals new data on market sizing, purchasing habits, and vehicle usage of classic car vehicle owners and explores how modern consumers feel about, work on, and engage with their fellow enthusiasts about classic vehicles.

“Classic cars and trucks have been a key part of the specialty automotive aftermarket since it began, and for many people who own older vehicles, fixing them up or modifying them into something new is a passion project that can span decades,” said SEMA Director of Market Research Gavin Knapp. “This report will help businesses understand this unique customer base, how to reach them, and where the current and future opportunities are for the vintage and automotive restoration aftermarket.”

The report, which researched classic car owners and businesses, found:

  • A growing number of businesses (62%) see restomodding on the rise and, on average, say that half the work they do on classics is part of a restomod job
  • Younger classic car owners are more likely to seek a restomod build, with 38% of owners under 45 going for a restomod, compared to 22% of older owners
  • Owners tend to view a classic as a long-term investment, with 44% saying they want to keep the vehicle forever
  • While 50% of owners use their classic vehicles for running errands, classic vehicles are much less likely to be used as commuter vehicles with 15% of classic car owners doing so (compared to 64% of the general population)
  • 80% percent of classic owners are comfortable doing at least some of the work on their vehicle on their own
  • Unrestored ‘60s muscle cars and pony cars remain popular barn finds among collectors, but the emerging market for ‘70s and ‘80s vehicles represent an important opportunity
  • Despite loving old-school cars, classic owners are not shy about going online to learn and shop for parts – especially younger owners

Hi-Pro Audio Received the NavAtlas Prize from the 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel 116

VICTORIA, TX (03.16.2021) – Justin Hosek, Hi-Pro Audio, received the NavAtlas handheld prize last week and already has hit the trail for a check ride.

“I gave one of the pair to my buddy and had the other one in my RZR. Out on the trail in rugged south Texas the handhelds worked great and definitely added a level of safety” Hosek related to 12volt News.

Justin Hosek holds his NavAtlas 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel prize after a check ride in his RZR.

The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel 116 rolled on Friday, February 26th. The Wheel landed on the NavAtlas space and Hi-ProAudio’s lucky slip was drawn from the jar in the 12volt Central Studios. A quick email to Patrick Brooks, NavAtlas National Sales Manager, got the handhelds prize ball rolling to Justin at Hi-Pro Audio.

Patrick Brooks, NavAtlas National Sales Manager, pictured in the Brea CA HQ with the NHR1 prize ready to ship Hi-Pro Audio.

Brooks stated “Every retailer should have the NR1 Dual-band VHF/UHF Radios at the cash register to start a conversation and complete an impulse purchase. Back stock of 6 units makes sense since the NavAtlas handheld could be best $109. a customer could spend for a device that could be life saving. One never knows when they might loose cell service and out on a trail cell service can be spotty. With a range of 8 miles the NHR1could get a rider out of some tight spots.”

Brooks continued “The NavAtlas NHR1 is also a great tool for retail storesl to communicate between departments and the install bay.”

Jack Bogard, Sanford Sound in Sanford ME, won NavAtlas handhelds on the 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel 113. “After receiving my NHR1’s we checked them out and they worked great. We are selling more side-by-sides and some of our customers already wanted to make a purchase so we placed an order. Using the handheld also works great to talk to techs in the bay.”

The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel was started to add some fun across the 12volt industry. The second anniversary was celebrated just over 4 months ago. Great to see companies, like NavAtlas, receiving exposure for their brands, dealers like Justin and Jack being happy 12volt Spin-To-Win prize winners and NavAtlas handhelds dealers.

Accele Electronics “Provides High Definition Security”

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (03.16.2021) – Accele Electronics has announced the latest additions to their growing portfolio of Fleet Vehicle Solutions, the DVR1080P family of “Black Box” DVR’s. The new DVR’s employ H.265, also known as HEVC, High Efficiency Video Code, the latest Video Compression technology.

H.265 is the choice when streaming live video due to its high quality and reduced bandwidth, allowing for reduced storage space. The DVR1080P and its variants have slots for 2 (not included) SD Cards, capable of storing 256 GB each. With the new HEVC compression that translates to almost 1 TB of storage without a Hard Drive.

This is important because mechanical Hard Drives are prone to data loss, data corruption and even failure under conditions of excessive vibration, dust and other elements often found in commercial vehicles.

High capacity storage is not the only outstanding feature, it has High Definition recording capability in 4 Channels mixing 1080P, 960P, 720P AHD & any Standard CVBS Video Cameras. The DVR1080P records continuously, and its “Pixel Recognition” technology enables the device to begin recording when there is an event or change in its immediate viewing range when parked. This “event” will be marked and not recorded over until it is reviewed and the GPS model records vehicle location(s) with Time and Date Stamp for archiving.

The exclusive allocation file system solves the file fragmentation and lost file issues found in other systems. For Fleet Operators employing a variety of vehicles our DVR1080P has variable operating Voltage from 8 – 36 Volts. Security is provided with a lockable door protecting the dual SD Cards. Super stable, Anti-shock, Aviation quality connectors plug in and screw tightly to ensure durability and easy installation. An additional model featuring 4G for remote real time monitoring will be available this Spring. The DVR1080P and 1080PGPS are available now, contact your Accele Sales Representative.
