Vehicle Tech: Innovation on Overdrive at CES

LAS VEGAS, NV (06.17.22) – The transportation tech of tomorrow promises a bold new world of conveniences, efficiencies and smart operations. From connected mobile apps and digital keys to EV infrastructure and autonomous vehicles, the industry’s top performers are powering up for CES® 2023.

A Vehicle-Tech Who’s Who

CES 2023 exhibitors are industry visionaries, leaders with a tenacious drive and a laser focus on the future. An impressive lineup is already forming.

John Deere

Deere continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to innovation, and technologies that help farmers improve their productivity and profitability against diminishing resources. Deere’s fully autonomous tractor, announced at CES 2022, uses advanced cameras for smoother operation and 360-degree obstacle detection within an inch of accuracy.

Deere extended its investment in autonomous technologies with its foray into autonomous crop sprayers. In April, the company announced a joint venture with GUSS Automation, a pioneer in semi-autonomous sprayers. The move is intended to help growers boost yields of high-value crops such as fruits, vegetables and nuts.

A busy show floor at CES 2022 shows off a fresh set of vehicle tech innovations.

Volkswagen

Emphasizing accessibility that doesn’t scrimp on innovation, Volkswagen innovates to make electric vehicles that push tech boundaries in ways consumers can readily embrace.

Volkswagen’s first all-electric SUV arrived with an EPA-estimated 260 miles of range, 201 hp, fast-charging capacity and other features that facilitate EV adoption. The 2022 ID.4 adds 20 miles of range for an estimated 280 miles. From regenerative braking to an advanced lithium-ion battery in a vehicle that seats five, Volkswagen is modeling how far EV technology has come.

The Picture is Getting Clearer

Next year’s exhibitors know what the market wants and needs. Consumers demand more for their transportation dollar, and industry leaders are giving it to them. It’ll all be revealed at CES 2023. What will you discover? Find out how you can be part of the action.

Team Nutz Returned to the Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival 2022

BUTLER, PA (06.16.22) – The 11h Annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival took place June 10th thru 12th in historic downtown Butler PA and on the Cooper’s Lake Campground. Over 15,000 Jeepers attended the weekend and enjoyed off-road trails, obstacle courses and a huge vendor area filled with companies that offer aftermarket products for Jeep owners and enthusiasts. The downtown Butler Jeep Invasion witnessed over 1000 Jeeps parked along main street and parking areas in the town of approximately 13,000 located 35 miles north of Pittsburgh. Butler was named the 7th Best Small Town in America in a Smithsonian Magazine in 2012.

Team Nutz is located about 35 miles from the Jeep Bantam Festival and had a big footprint at the event.
AAMP Global’s Christian Venn is flanked by Rusty North (L) and Ed Nuttal from Team Nutz. North is with End Result and was on site representing AAMP Global’s Jeep intensive Stinger brand.

Team Nutz is a proactive 12volt retailer located in Pittsburgh and returned to the Bantam Jeep Festival for the 2022 run. Ed Nuttall related, “The JeepFest draws thousands of Jeepers, enthusiasts and their rides. That crowd is noted for adding aftermarket products to their rides. We do a lot of Jeep upgrades at the store, and being so close to our store in Pittsburgh, it makes perfect sense for our brand to be on site. We had a great crew on site with vendor support, a large booth area with multiple tents plus several demo vehicles. Sales this year were strong and our team made contact with quite a number of promising prospects.”

Attendance at this year‘s event was strong as it has been in past years.
Jeepers also spent time on trails located on the very area around the Butler area.

The Team Nutz team on site this year totaled 8 with strong support from Stinger Electronics’ Christian Venn and Rusty North from End Result. The AAMP of America Stinger booth was next to the Team Nutz tent. Several good customers and Jeepers were also adjacent to Team Nutz on the grounds.

The Stinger Heigh 10, which takes a Jeeper’s infotainment system to the next level, was one of the hottest products in the Team Nutz booth. On site installations were hampered somewhat by a shortage kits.

Tom Mays pitches a Team Nutz Blue Duck do a fan in downtown Butler.
Doug Burns rewards this vintage Jeep with Team Nutz Blue Duck… one of 1300 given out at the event.

“Stinger was a great support team, with Christian Venn and the AAMP truck, to work side by side at the event. With their expertise and products in the booth right next to our booth they spoon fed us sales,” Nuttall added.

Today Jeepers are showing their support for other Jeep vehicles with blue rubber ducks. “We made 1500 custom blue rubber ducks for the event and placed over 1300 on Jeeps we liked. Downtown we went down along parked Jeeps and put the blue ducks of hoods and around door handles. The blue rubber ducks had the Team Nutz logo for all to see and remember,” Nuttall related.

Rosie was popular and received three ducks including a Team Nutz Blue Duck. People reward Jeeps they like with small rubber ducks.
The Team Nutz booth stretched well over 100 feet.

Concluding, Nuttall stated, “This was our 6th or 7th time to exhibit at the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival. Based on our success at this year’s event expect to see us at the 2023 event and beyond.

CES 2023 Will Focus on How Innovation Is Addressing Global Challenges

NEW YORK, NY (06.16.22) – The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced that CES 2023, the world’s most influential technology event, will partner with the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) to showcase the critical role of technology in support of the United Nations efforts to advance human security for all.

CES 2023 will shine a spotlight on how technology helps people tackle the world’s most pressing problems. Human Security for All will be a theme throughout the show, from conference programming to keynotes highlighting innovation and products improving the lives of people around the world.

“Tech innovation gives us the tools to work toward a better world and has always been the catalyst for historic change. We are proud to partner with the World Academy of Art and Science in support of the United Nations,” said Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association. “Now more than ever, people are looking to the tech industry for leadership as we develop creative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.”

First introduced by the UN in 1994, the concept of human security recognizes the importance of personal wellbeing and lists security pillars tied to an individual’s experience in life, including: food, access to health care, personal income, environmental protection, personal safety, community security and political freedom. CES 2023 will showcase the latest tech innovations and thought leaders dedicated to addressing these most pressing global challenges. CTA will expand the CES Innovation Awards to incorporate technologies advancing the UN Human Security categories.

“The COVID-19 pandemic, global warming, the high cost of education and the surging food shortages resulting from the war in Ukraine illustrate the importance of developing innovative solutions to the full range of human security issues.” said Garry Jacobs, President, World Academy of Art & Science. “We are proud to be partnering with CTA to promote awareness and action to address the challenges to human security.”

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) also announced the first keynote speaker for CES 2023. John Deere Chairman and CEO John May will join other John Deere executives to share how purpose-driven sustainability and advancements in technology are addressing one of the world’s greatest challenges – feeding a growing global population. This will be the first time in CES history that an agriculture technology company executive will take the mainstage for a keynote at the show. John Deere first debuted at CES 2019 and has been exhibiting each year since, highlighting the importance of innovation in agriculture.

“The opportunity for technology and sustainability to positively impact the world is most present in agriculture, where farmers continue to be challenged to feed our growing population,” said John May, Chairman and CEO. “John Deere is focused on developing technology with a purpose, to make our customers more efficient and sustainable. The work they do affects every single person and we’re honored to have the opportunity to help tell their story on the mainstage.”

Sustainability, digital health, metaverse, electric vehicles, transportation and mobility will have a commanding presence at the show. CES 2023 will explore the power of technology to revolutionize how people connect, featuring new categories including Web3; using crypto and blockchain to usher in a new digital economy; and remote work tech, exploring how tech is bringing the office into the home to maximize collaboration and creativity.

Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2023 will take place in Las Vegas on January 5-8, 2023 with Media Days taking place January 3-4, 2023. Attendees will experience new technologies from global brands, hear about the future of technology from thought leaders and collaborate face-to-face with other attendees. The show will highlight how innovations in sustainability, transportation and mobility, digital health, the metaverse and more are addressing the world’s greatest challenges. Audiences will hear from industry experts during live keynotes, including leaders from John Deere.
