Everything’s Bigger in Texas! Modus Features Award-Winning Cybertruck During Electrify Expo 2025 Season Finale

OXNARD, CA (11.11.25) – Electrify Expo’s 2025 season stop is wrapping up in Texas, and Modus will exhibit and demo its award-winning 2024 Tesla Cybertruck build Nov. 15-16 at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Modus drove away from the most recent Electrify Expo on Long Island, N.Y with the show’s Best Vendor Vehicle award.

“During the 2025 Electrify Expos in Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, and on Long Island, Modus has become a featured stop that drew big crowds as attendees wanted to experience our Cybertruck demo,” said Jason Digos, Modus Senior Sales Trainer. “Once inside the Cybertruck, they were blown away as they didn’t realize such a high-end and powerful audio system can be integrated into today’s complex electric vehicles. We are excited for attendees in Texas to live this experience, as well.”

“Once again we will have the MODUS CyberTruck set up with live demos for attendees to experience” Jason Digos related.

The misconception that premium audio is merely a luxury add-on overlooks the soundstage potential of EVs. These vehicles offer something combustion engines never could: silent cabins paired with abundant electrical power, creating an unprecedented opportunity for truly immersive, audiophile-grade sound systems.

The Modus Cybertruck installation achieves several industry firsts, showcasing Modus’ innovative PREACT™ current-averaging technology operating directly on Tesla’s 48V DC electrical system. This marks a significant advancement in mobile audio integration with electric vehicles, capable of delivering 6,000 watts (RMS) of audio power without requiring voltage inverters or additional batteries, which is a first for any EV audio system. This was made possible through Modus’ patented PREACT technology in the new Mezzo amplifier line, which operates with unprecedented efficiency at higher voltages.

“Consumers are often wary of adding or altering audio components in Teslas and other EVs because of their sophisticated electrical systems, but we are educating them that the technology is available today to do so safely and effectively,” Digos concluded.

2025 SEMA CONTENT CREATOR, GEN-III INNOVATOR AND PERSON OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

The awards recognize the recipient’s outstanding contributions to the specialty equipment industry over a year-long period

LAS VEGAS (Nov. 8, 2025) – The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) announced the winners of its coveted Content Creator of the Year, Gen-III Innovator of the Year, and Person of the Year awards. Presented during the SEMA Industry Honors at the 2025 SEMA Show, these awards recognize industry members for their significant and transformative contributions to the automotive aftermarket during the past year.

Person of the Year: Dean Case (Motivo Engineering)
An unwavering advocate for SEMA and the Emerging Trends & Technology Network (ETTN), Case played an instrumental role in bridging the gap between aftermarket industry and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) community in 2025.

Person of the Year: Dean Case (Motivo Engineering)

Case was pivotal to the success of the ETTN/SAE student career event at the SEMA Garage, the largest career fair the association has ever hosted. The impact of this event extended far beyond attendance numbers; it also created meaningful connections with students and educators, helping to attract fresh talent into the industry.

Thanks to Case’s contributions, the event brought together a diverse range of experts, actively engaged schools, and was carefully documented through professional videography, amplifying SEMA’s mission to a wider audience.

Gen-III Innovator of the Year: Andrius Liskus (LABA7, UAB)
Liskus solved a major barrier in advanced suspension testing: accessibility. High-speed, high-precision damper testing typically requires large, stationary machines with high-voltage, high-amperage power inputs, which limits their use to specialized R&D facilities. With the EMA, or Electromagnetic Damper Test System, Liskus and his team developed a solution that delivers lab-grade performance — up to 7,000 mm/s velocity, 100 G acceleration, and 150 Hz frequency — while running from a standard 110V socket. The system condenses energy using supercapacitors to drive electromagnetic motors efficiently and with precision.

Gen-III Innovator of the Year: Andrius Liskus (LABA7, UAB)

This means cutting-edge damper testing no longer needs to be tied to infrastructure-heavy environments. Race teams, independent developers, and workshops can now run the same level of dynamic testing that was once only available inside OEM labs. The EMA is even transportable, making it viable for on-site testing and trackside diagnostics.

Content Creator of the Year: Westen Champlin
The SEMA Content Creator of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates a content creator’s exceptional dedication to enriching automotive culture. This accolade applauds Champlin’s significant impact in shaping a vibrant community and fostering a positive environment among automotive enthusiasts. Garnering over 4 million subscribers on YouTube, 3.8 million followers on TikTok, 2.5 million followers on Instagram, and 3.3 million followers on Facebook, his creative efforts on social media have not only elevated the discourse around automotive passions but have also inspired a deeper appreciation for the art and innovation within the industry.

Content Creator of the Year: Westen Champlin

Continuing through November 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the SEMA Show is the ultimate trade show for aftermarket professionals to see thousands of the newest automotive performance products from new and iconic exhibitors, discover the latest product and vehicle trends, and develop essential skills. BLAUPUNKT Launches BP-1200A: A 12-Inch Powered Subwoofer Engineered for Deep Bass and High Efficiency

LAS VEGAS, NV (11.07.25) – BLAUPUNKT has announced the debut of the BP-1200A, a 12-inch active subwoofer enclosure. This all-in-one (AIO) system is engineered to deliver powerful low-frequency output by perfectly matching a high-excursion 12-inch driver with a high-efficiency, built-in Class-D amplifier.

The BP-1200A is designed as a streamlined solution for installers and enthusiasts seeking significant bass impact without the complexity of component matching. The system is built around a robust 12-inch, 4-ohm Single Voice Coil (SVC) driver capable of handling 250W continuous (RMS) and 500W peak power.

The new PB-1200A spotlighted on display in the Blaupunkt booth at SEMA 2025.

The driver’s formidable performance stems from its advanced material science and engineering:

  • Cone & Surround: A rigid, injection-molded polypropylene (PP) cone ensures minimal flex and fast transient response, while a high-roll rubber surround facilitates the driver’s impressive 10mm of linear excursion (Xmax).
  • Motor Structure: A powerful ferrite magnet assembly provides the high magnetic flux necessary for precise cone control and efficiency.
  • Acoustic Parameters: The driver’s Thiele/Small (T/S) parameters are optimized for performance, featuring a low resonant frequency fs of 29Hz and a Qts of 0.49. This engineering results in a system with a wide frequency response of 25Hz to 500Hz, allowing it to reproduce the lowest sub-harmonics with authority.

The integrated Class-D amplifier is factory-tuned to the driver’s 250W RMS power handling, eliminating the guesswork of amplifier pairing. This high-efficiency topology ensures maximum power is converted to sound, not heat, resulting in a system that is both powerful and reliable, even in compact install locations.

“The BP-1200A addresses the critical market need for a high-performance, all-in-one bass solution,” said Chuck Kenney, National Sales Manager. “We’ve engineered the driver and amplifier as a single, cohesive system. Installers will appreciate the simplicity, and customers will be impressed by the deep, accurate bass that comes from a driver with a 29Hz fs and 10mm of Xmax.”

The system is housed in a durable, tuned enclosure and features a protective trim ring, making it a rugged and professional addition to any vehicle’s audio system.

BLAUPUNKT BP-1200A Key Specifications:

  • System Type: 12” Powered Subwoofer Enclosure
  • Amplifier Topology: Integrated Class-D
  • Woofer: 12” SVC
  • Continuous Power Handling (RMS): 250W
  • Peak Power Handling: 500W
  • Frequency Response: 25Hz – 500Hz
