The Sanford Sound 28th Annual Show N’ Shine Was The Best Ever

SANFORD, ME (08.01.24) – The 28th Annual Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine filled the grounds surrounding the company’s retail location on Sunday, July 28th.

“This year’s Show N’ Shine was the fourth at our new location and the weather was absolutely perfect. Last year we were mobbed. This year was even busier and the largest ever for our Annual Show N’ Shine as we had 186 cars registered. It seemed almost every square foot of our property was filled with Show N’ Shine cars and activities” owner Jack Bogard related.

First stop early Sunday morning was for all us to check in to register their vehicles.
Soon the area in front of the store was filled with vehicles and others had to park on the side or down below.
By early afternoon, attendees were walking down past vehicles to see even more vehicles in the area behind the store.

Continuing “On Friday night there was a classic car parade on the main drag that was packed. I was set up as a DJ and played music for the crowd plus could promote our Sunday event. Saturday the Sanford Sound Team spent the day getting everything ready for the Show N’ Shine. Local business owners said they had never seen Route 4 so busy on Sunday” Bogard offered.

Becker’s Barbecue was set early as attendees raved about the great food.

“Seventeen area businesses were on site showing their products that 12volt enthusiasts could utilize. Vehicle restoration, lift modifications, stickers and more were offered. Food trucks were on site and the lemonade stand reported selling over 300 refreshments. The Becker BBQ trailer was packed and the BBQ was so good. K&B Custom Handcrafts offered custom T’s and caps printed and embroidered on site.We also had several clubs attend the Show N’ Shine in big numbers. Also, we had a number of cars with out of state license plates… including Connecticut, Vermont, New York and Rhode Island I was buzzing around on a Blaupunkt eBike and it got attention” Bogard added.

There was an amazing number of custom trophies created for the 21 classes and set up for all to see before the awards presentation.

Bogard concluded “A really big thing for us at a Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine event is seeing all the happy, smiling faces. Members of the crowd were showing their rides and checking out other’s rides.The level of customization of the vehicles in the show this year was amazing. Long term this will lead to residual business for us at Sanford Sound. A huge shout out to all, especially family and staff who participated in, and contributed to, the very successful 28th Annual Sanford Sound Show N’ Shine. To cap the day for our team members and family we hosted a catered Thai dinner that all enjoyed in our installation area.”

2024 SEMA Scholarship and Loan Forgiveness Award Winners Announced

The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund awarded scholarship and loan forgiveness awards to 46 individuals currently working or planning to pursue careers in the automotive aftermarket industry. Pictured are scholarship winners from last year.

DIAMOND BAR, CA (08.01.24) – The SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund issued $99,000 in scholarship and loan forgiveness awards to help 46 individuals currently working or planning to pursue careers in the automotive aftermarket industry. The winners include 39 college students and seven employees of SEMA-member companies.

“As the automotive-specialty equipment market grows, so does the need for talented, ready-to-work individuals who are passionate about the industry,” said Jose Escobar, SEMA Project Manager of Recognition Programs. “This year’s winners represent the diversity and interests that the market needs, and we’re excited to support them in their academic and professional journeys.”

Established in 1984, the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund is designed to encourage future talent and current leaders to succeed in the automotive industry. Each year, scholarships are awarded to help the next generation get off to a successful start in their education, and the current automotive workforce reduce their college debt. The total amount issued since the program’s inception is over $3 million.

The online application for next year’s awards will open in January 2025 at www.sema.org/scholarships.

Endless Possibilities Hosted The Company’s 3rd Alpine Experience

AURORA, IL (07.31.24) – Endless Possibilities Auto is a very proactive 12volt retailer that understands the continuing value of connecting with consumers and enthusiasts. On Saturday July 27th Endless Possibilities hosted the company’s 3rd Alpine Experience event. Chris Reavis rolled the Alpine Jeep on site early in the day and placed it near the front of the store.

Cesar Murango, Endless Possibilities Auto owner, related, “Again our store was a big winner. During the day traffic seemed to come in waves filling the showroom. From speakers, amps and head units our customers were making purchases… dash cam systems too. Having the Optim8 on display in the showroom also opened people’s eyes and definitely ears. I stayed busy all day at the register pricing systems and entering sales tickets.

“The weather was perfect for the Endless Possibilities 2024 Alpine Experience. The demos outside in the Jeep brought smiles to all in the passenger seat. There were many repeat customers from previous Alpine Experience events with Endless Possibilities. It was awesome to get that support from them and see familiar smiling faces. Cesar and his team were prepared and it was a super day,” Reavis, Alpine Specialist, commented.

Code Zero Customs at the 2024 SLAMBOREE

OSAGE, OK (07.30.07) – Cody Landis had Code Zero Customs set up again at the Osage Casino SLAMBOREE outside Tulsa OK July 26th thru 28th. The proactive Tulsa-based retailer has had a booth at the event for the last six years with a tent showcasing products and company demo vehicles plus spotlighting custom enclosures for pick up trucks.

Code Zero Customs was set up under the tent with a wide variety of products on display.

“In Oklahoma pick up trucks are very popular. Many pickups today are top the line trucks. Those owners demand a great look for their aftermarket upgrades. Showcasing the custom enclosures and systems we at our store is a great way to get the message out” Landis stated.

There were over 400 vehicles on display at the event as Cody, Bobby and Jenny were in the booth connecting with attendees. The demo vehicles in the booth included a 1950 Ford F pickup plus a 2-door Tahoe.

ANAHEIM, CA (07.30.24) – PowerBass was on site at the MTS Custom’s Cars and Coffee in Anaheim CA on Sunday, July 28th.

“MTS Customs offers Tint, Detail and Wrap for area consumer and is very active with events to connect with consumers. With that in mind Juan Quintana and I attended the Sunday Cars and Coffee event. We are finding consumers are finding many ways to enjoy music with Bluetooth portables. We have expanded the PowerBass line of Bluetooth portables and decided to attend the MTS event. Saturday the day before we were at the Rifle Supply Mid Summer Bash 2 and many attendees liked our Bluetooth lineup” Erik Harbour, PowerBass VP, stated.

TikiBilt Fab Displayed at the SLAMBOREE

OSAGE, OK (07.30.24) – TikiBilt Fab was on site at the SLAMBOREE event at the Osage Casino Hotel from July 26th-28th. From the company’s booth and trailer the company’s unique lineup of custom panels were displayed for attendees.

Dylan Dirickson’s TikiBilt Fab company specializes in custom metal fabrication aimed at the custom automotive industry. The company specializes in beadrolling and custom artwork fabrication and is available to build custom under hood panels, custom sheet metal bed work for install installations in pickup trucks, interior panels and more. In addition, the panels can be utilized for advertisement, company logos, car club names, Car Show awards and family home decorations.
