The IASCA Worldwide 2024 Surf City Soundoff Packed The Massive Chinook Winds Casino Grounds

LINCOLN DITY, OR (08.20.24) – IASCA Worldwide Inc. once again hosted a Triple Point World Record Event, the Surf City Soundoff, at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City OR. The Chinook Winds Casino has teamed with IASCA for a number of years to create the largest car audio event in the Northwest and one of the largest car audio events in the country.

“This year’s event had a huge crowd on the grounds of the Chinook Winds Casino grounds. The weather did not cooperate fully as there was rain in and out the first part of the event. Afternoon Sunday clearing took place and the the lanes were full as awards were presented. The weather did not dampen any energy from enthusiasts on site” Travis Chin, IASCA Worldwide President related.

The huge Chinook Winds Casino grounds were packed.

Images posted from the Chinook Winds Casino grounds showed competitors vehicles and tents across the huge venue.

Rob Sutton, Crossover Marketing Group Principal, traveled from Battle Ground WA to Lincoln Park OR to checkout the latest happening on the SoundOff circuit. “There was definitely a lot of excitement and sound in the air. I was happy to see a team from KICKER on site to get a feel for what’s happening on the SoundOff circuit. I didn’t see any other direct 12volt vendor or rep firm staffs on site. Members of the 12volt industry community are certainly connected to SoundOff enthusiasts in a major way!”

Competitors going for another world record

Gately Audio, based in Sacramento CA, had a major presence on site with a group of tents and demo cars. Their business is primarily consumer direct on line. Staff members were traveling the 600 miles back to HQ and not available by press time.

Through the course of the years together, the Chinook Winds Casino and IASCA Worldwide have donated to great causes. More than $30,000 has been donated to Angels Anonymous through entry fees, raffle tickets and t-shirt sales.

The Gately Audio set up sheltered under the tents during the rain.
Some of the more than $10,000 in prizes donated for the charity auction.

“I’d really like to thank all of our sponsors. Every year they step up and make the show that much better” Chin continued.“I have been involved with the Surf City Soundoff and Chinook Winds Casino for over a decade and I always look forward to being part of the show. This year was one of the biggest events yet and it has a great reputation as one of the ‘go to’ IASCA events of the year. See you in 2025.”

Tint World Named on Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies

BOCA RATON, FL (08.16.24) – Inc. revealed today that Tint World® Automotive Styling Centers™, a leading auto accessory and window tinting franchise, ranks No. 4,776 on the 2024 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Microsoft, Meta, Chobani, Under Armour, Timberland, Oracle, Patagonia, and many other household-name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the ninth year as one of the most successful brands in our industry,” said Charles J. Bonfiglio, president and CEO of Tint World. “Our ongoing growth is a result of the passion and dedication shown by the corporate Tint World team as well as each of our franchisees. We’ve invested strategically in time-tested franchise systems and processes that help Tint World franchisees reach their goals, and we’re ready to take it to the next level in the coming year.”

The Inc. 5000 class of 2024 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate is 1,637 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 874,458 jobs to the economy over the past three years.

For complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, location, and other criteria, go to www.inc.com/inc5000. All 5000 companies are featured on Inc.com starting Tuesday, August 13, and the top 500 appear in the new issue of Inc. magazine, available on newsstands beginning Tuesday, August 20.

“One of the greatest joys of my job is going through the Inc. 5000 list,” says Mike Hofman, who recently joined Inc. as editor-in-chief. “To see all of the intriguing and surprising ways that companies are transforming sectors, from health care and AI to apparel and pet food, is fascinating for me as a journalist and storyteller. Congratulations to this year’s honorees, as well, for growing their businesses fast despite the economic disruption we all faced over the past three years, from supply chain woes to inflation to changes in the workforce.”

SEMA Files Amicus Brief in Opposition of California’s ICE Vehicle Ban

WASHINGTON, DC (08.16.24) – The Specialty Equipment Market Association & Performance Racing, Inc. (SEMA) on August 7 filed with the Supreme Court of the United States an amicus brief in the case of Diamond Alternative Energy, LLC v. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The brief outlines SEMA’s support for a review of the lawfulness of the EPA’s decision to grant California the authority to limit the sale of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Using its EPA waiver, California, and by extension, the 16 states that opt into California’s regulations, seeks to adopt Advanced Clean Car II regulations that would limit the sales of ICE vehicles from model years 2017 through 2025, culminating with a complete ban on the sale of ICE vehicles by 2035.

SEMA requests that the court grant review due to the critical, nationwide importance of the case before them. SEMA contends that California’s non-technology-neutral decision to limit sales of ICE vehicles will have a devastating impact on the automotive aftermarket industry, of which SEMA’s 7,000 members are a pivotal part. If granted, the ICE Waiver will kill, rather than foster, innovation that can help produce cleaner, safer automobiles. Furthermore, the associated fallout of the ICE Waiver will touch the many associated industries, including motorsports, vehicle restoration, and automotive technology, each of which make immeasurable contributions to the nation from an innovation and cultural standpoint.

“California has already declared the winner of the race, and by extension, begins to foreclose on the innovations and unique contributions to cleaner vehicles and parts that the aftermarket for years has been providing,” SEMA argues. “The question presented is important not just to the specialty equipment aftermarket, but to consumers and the public at large who seek out these inventive products, and, as a result, the Court should grant the petition to address it.”

SEMA as an organization is steadfastly technology neutral, a reflection of the historically significant innovation delivered by the specialty automotive aftermarket industry, a sector that delivers $337 billion in annual economic impact to the U.S. economy, while supporting 1.3 million jobs nationally. Aftermarket participants, many of which are small businesses, are leading the way on alternative-fuel innovations by replacing older engine technologies with newer, cleaner versions, and converting older ICE vehicles to new electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles, and the industry represents the tip of the spear for delivering to consumers new automotive fuel and propulsion solutions.
