SEMA Show Concludes with Expanded After-Party

DIAMOND BAR, CA (09.20.22) – After the SEMA Show concludes, the iconic cars and trucks from the business-to-business event will emerge from the Las Vegas Convention Center and make their way to SEMA Ignited – the official SEMA Show after-party where consumers will have their first chance to see the one-of-a-kind vehicles that debuted at the world’s premier automotive trade gathering earlier that week. Taking place at the convention center’s West Hall Parking Lot from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm PT on Friday, November 4, SEMA Ignited is a combination of a car show, parade, music, food, entertainment, and exhibitions all rolled into what becomes the ultimate automotive celebration.

Now in its eighth year, SEMA Ignited is where consumers see, hear, and – in some cases – get up-close and connect with award-winning vehicles and their owners. With more vendors and exhibitors than ever before, the 2022 SEMA Ignited is where car enthusiasts will be able to discover the newest trends, learn about new products, meet industry celebrities, and experience the excitement of the growing aftermarket firsthand. In addition to demonstrations from Formula DRIFT drivers from throughout the world, this year’s event will include simultaneous live attractions and activations. One of this year’s main attractions is the Urias Globe of Death, a group of daredevil motorcycle riders who perform jaw-dropping stunts in a mesh sphere ball.

“There is something for everyone at SEMA Ignited,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “As the official after-party of the SEMA Show, guests of all ages can come and experience the best of the SEMA Show, see the custom builds, meet automotive celebrities, and enjoy live entertainment. Our exhibitors and builders are anxious to meet with the public and show off their latest products and unique builds.”

General admission tickets allow access into SEMA Ignited. Car enthusiasts may choose to purchase upgraded tickets for reserved seating where they’ll be able to sit and watch the SEMA Cruise and performances from Formula DRIFT and the Urias Globe of Death. A limited number of Friday Experience packages are available for general admission into SEMA Ignited, as well as entrance into the SEMA Show on Friday, November 4, and comes with a one-year SEMA Individual Membership.

“The SEMA Ignited Friday Experience is a rare opportunity for gearheads to experience the trade-only SEMA Show and engage with the industry as SEMA Individual Members,” said Gattuso. “Through the Friday Experience, enthusiasts will get a behind-the-scenes look at what industry professionals are doing at the SEMA Show and witness the trends as they are happening.”

All SEMA Showgoers will be able to attend SEMA Ignited with their Show credentials. For more information about SEMA Ignited, visit www.semaignited.com. To learn more about the SEMA Show, visit www.semashow.com.

Industry Legend Chip Foose Named Official SEMA Show Artist

Chip Foose created original pieces of art that will be woven into signage throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center to help give the 2022 SEMA Show a new look.

DIAMOND BAR, CA (08.23.22) – Legendary car builder and industry icon Chip Foose will help give the 2022 SEMA Show a new look as the official artist of this year’s trade show. Foose created original pieces of art that will be woven into signage throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center and in marketing materials for the Show to help reflect each segment of the industry in a special and authentic way.

“This opportunity is allowing me to be creative in a different fashion. Usually my drawings have been a tool to build the final art, which are the cars that we create at Foose design, but these drawings are the final art to be used at the SEMA show,” said Foose. “I’m excited to entertain and connect with SEMA Show attendees in a new way.”

SEMA Show officials feature a new artist every three years to add a level of authenticity to something that most trade shows in the world leave to a sign designer. Foose is the fourth celebrated automotive artist—joining Alex Carmona, Max Grundy, and Ed Tillrock—whose artwork will give Showgoers a new experience at the event.

“We are honored to have Chip Foose as our SEMA Show artist for the next three years and see his creative side in a different and new way—outside the car and on paper,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA Vice President of Events. “Chip has gone above and beyond with this original artwork for the Show, which will help build the best automotive trade show experience in the world. We are thrilled to share these incredible images as they will truly bring the Show to the next level.”

Foose has become a household name in and out of the automotive industry. He has appeared in several television shows and has won numerous awards and accolades for his vehicle builds, including becoming the youngest person to be inducted into the Hot Rod Hall of Fame in 1997. Foose was also inducted into the Darryl Starbird Rod & Custom Car Museum Hall of Fame in 2002, the Grand National Roadster Show Hall of Fame in 2003, the Detroit Autorama “Circle of Champions” Hall of Fame in 2012, the San Francisco Rod and Custom Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2005, and the SEMA Hall of Fame in 2016. The 2022 SEMA Show, taking place November 1-4 in Las Vegas, is an annual four-day trade event that makes it possible for manufacturers of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories to connect with and conduct business with buyers from all over the world. “The feedback to the QR codes on the feature vehicles was so popular and well-received that we are expanding the option to allow Showgoers to scan and obtain information for even more vehicles at the SEMA Show,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “This is going to enhance the attendee experience and make it easier for buyers to connect with exhibitors.”

Exhibitors Learn Tips for Greater ROI at SEMA Show Exhibitor Summit

DIAMOND BAR, CA (06.30.22) – SEMA Show organizers are hosting a “boot camp” style training event to help exhibitors plan and get maximum return on investment at the 2022 SEMA Show. Called the SEMA Show Exhibitor Summit, the two-and-a-half-day event takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, includes hotel accommodations and meals, and is free to register.

The SEMA Show Exhibitor Summit has taken place annually since 2010 and gives exhibitors hands-on, personal connections with both SEMA staff and event-support partners.

“We know that exhibitors invest a great deal to participate in the SEMA Show, and we do everything we can to help exhibitors maximize that investment,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “By connecting in Las Vegas months before the trade show takes place, we’re able to focus and work with exhibitors right as they are in the critical part of their booth-planning process.”

Exhibitors learn how to attract buyers to their booths, ways to save on booth expenses, what journalists look for while at the Show, and how to connect with buyers in their market segments. Exhibitors are also able to meet with show organizers, industry colleagues, support partners, and others involved in their successful participation in the Show, including with an assigned account representative who works with them throughout the year, in person during the Exhibitor Summit.

“We’re available to help exhibitors all year long, but it’s rare that we have an opportunity to connect in person and meet face-to-face,” said Gattuso. “The SEMA Show Exhibitor Summit is a great chance for us to establish a deeper relationship. We appreciate the opportunity to meet with exhibitors and better understand their goals and how SEMA can play a part in their efforts.”

Participation, which is limited to two representatives per exhibiting company with maximum of about 200 for the entire event, includes free hotel rooms, networking functions, and meals throughout the event. Show organizers host the event to help exhibitors succeed for years to come.
