SpeakerBox Scored Big with DOW at KFest in Vegas

HUNTSVILLE, AL (04.11.22) – A recent Instagram post grabbed attention in the 12volt Central Studios. In the SpeakerBox showroom team members were pictured with Sony TVs,Triton SoundBars and Sony Mobile speakers. The Sony TVs were 75” and 65” models. Seeing that required a phone call to the store.

Alex Stowe filled in the details. She revealed the entire Speakerbox Team of 8 went to KFest in Vegas. The store was closed while they were on the trip. While on the event floor at KFest in Vegas they spent time at the DOW Technologies Booth where a Blackjack table was set with a dealer and really cool prizes available to win.

Jay Johnson, DOW Technologies Director, related “At KFest in Vegas we showcased some of our Triton Audio products. In our booth we had a Blackjack table set up where dealers could play to win prizes. If the retailer beat the Blackjack dealer they could pull a card with a prize on it. Anyone could play, even multiple dealers from a store and outside our territory. All dealers attending KFest were invited to play Blackjack at the DOW table. Our Blackjack table sponsors were Sony, Triton, Metra, Alpine, Lucas Lighting and DOW.”

Johnson added “After seeing the image of the prizes with team members in the SpeakerBox showroom I was shocked to see how the shop cleaned up on the prizes DOW offered at KFest.”

Looks like Adam Brown drew a very special card at the DOW Blackjack Table!!

SpeakerBox began business in 2011 and the team markets a wide variety of 12volt products to members of the Huntsville community and surrounding area.

DOW Technologies Acquires Tech Source Distributors

TAMPA, FL (04.04.22) – DOW Technologies has announced the acquisition of Montgomeryville, PA based Tech Source Distributors. DOW has acquired certain assets and will continue to operate out of the current Tech Source location.

The parties will complete the acquisition at the end of day Thursday, March 31st. DOW will be closed at the Montgomeryville location on Friday, April 1st to complete acquisition activities, and will reopen for business Monday, April 4th. This acquisition brings new customers and new vendors to DOW, while strengthening DOW’s position in the Mid-Atlantic territory.

DOW Technologies Wins Four Quest For Quality Awards

TAMPA, FL (03.29.22) – DOW Technologies, the leading independently owned technology distributor, was recently awarded four Quest for Quality Awards in CE Pro’s 12th annual competition. DOW received awards in this prestigious competition for the second year in a row.

CE Pro’s Quest for Quality Awards recognize the services offered by distributors and manufacturers that supply custom integrators. The Awards are open to distributors across the nation with winners determined by votes from CE Pro’s readers.

DOW Technologies won a first place Platinum Award for the Best Customer Service category. This was an improvement from the Silver award that DOW won in the category the prior year. DOW won Gold Awards for the Best Technical Support and Best Supply Chain Response categories. In the Best Shipping Policies category, DOW was awarded the Silver Award. This year DOW also received “Category Kudos” acknowledgment (those who performed well in the voting) in three categories: Best Website, Best Training Programs, and Best Dealer Programs/Incentives.

DOW Technologies Wins Distributor of the Year Award

TAMPA, FL (03.09.22) – DOW Technologies, the leading independently owned electronics and technology services distributor, was recently awarded Distributor of the Year at the Mobile Electronics Association Industry Awards. DOW also received the award in 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

The Mobile Electronics association presents the awards annually to recognize and honor those in the mobile electronics industry. The Industry Awards are voted on by the retailers and vendors working in the 12Volt industry nationwide.

This award marks DOW’s sixth win in eight years.

TAMPA, FL (04.14.2021) – DOW Technologies was recently awarded eight Quest for Quality Awards in CE Pro’s 11th annual competition. In the first year DOW won any Quest for Quality Awards, it received an award in each of the available categories. 

CE Pro’s Quest for Quality Awards recognize the services offered by distributors and manufacturers that supply custom integrators. The eight distributor categories were voted on by CE Pro’s readers; this year saw a record-breaking 14,550 votes cast. The Awards are open to distributors across the nation.

DOW Technologies won a first place Platinum Award for the Best Dealer Programs/Incentives, Best COVID-19 Response, and Best Virtual Trade Show/Conference Presence categories. DOW won Gold Awards for the Best Technical Support, Best Shipping Policies, Best Website, and Best Training Programs categories. In the Best Customer Service category, DOW was awarded the Silver Award.

DOW Electronics Announces Company Name Change

TAMPA, FL (03.02.2021) – DOW Electronics has changed its name to DOW Technologies. The new name reflects the company’s long history while better aligning with its current and future business strategy.

DOW began as a local television repair parts distributor that has grown over 60 years into a national distributor of consumer products and technology solutions that connect and improve customers lives. The breadth of products and services that DOW now offers has outgrown the product offerings suggested by the use of ‘Electronics’ in the company name. The new name, DOW Technologies, reflects a company culture that is engaged with the technological solutions it offers.
