Optima Brings Expanded High-Performance Action to the 2022 SEMA Show

DIAMOND BAR, CA (10.04.22) – The OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) is bringing live, action-packed excitement to the SEMA Show, growing its activation with three of its five segments unfolding during the 55th annual trade show, Nov. 1-4, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV.

The competition’s Peak Performance Challenge (a timed segment) and the Lingenfelter Design & Engineering Challenge took place at the SEMA Show for the first time in 2021. Those two segments will return to this year’s SEMA Show, while the Autocross portion of the competition makes its debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Bronze Lot during the exclusive trade-only event. The remainder of the OUSCI continues Nov. 5-7, 2022, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“As an expanded feature at the 2022 SEMA Show, OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car Invitational is an iconic competition that will showcase the aftermarket’s potential,” said Tom Gattuso, SEMA vice president of events. “With modifications that enhance the performance of the vehicles, the competing cars and trucks embody what the SEMA Show is all about. It’s going to be exciting to watch the action up close and in person.”

With six regional qualifying events spanning more than eight months, the OUSCI includes the country’s top road-worthy modified vehicles. Top performers from the regional events receive coveted invitations to compete in the final competition, with a handful of spots reserved for vehicles selected at the SEMA Show.

Since 2008 when the OUSCI debuted, an additional highlight for Showgoers has been a display of all 100 competition vehicles at the SEMA Show in an area known as Optima Alley. At the end of the Show, the vehicles parade out of the convention center and make their way to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where they compete in a five-part competition. Last year two of the segments kicked off the competition and took place at the SEMA Show. This year, the SEMA Show will host three of the five segments.

“It’s rare to be able to witness so many vehicles push the limits of performance and agility,” said Gattuso. “To see the competition unfold live is exhilarating and inspiring.”

NEW YORK – September 9, 2022 – The 2022 NFL season kicks off tomorrow, September 8 (8:20 pm ET) when the defending Super Bowl LVI Champion L.A. Rams host the Buffalo Bills. 25th Anniversary DB Drag Racing World Finals and Old School Car Audio Meet Up

AUSTIN TX (08.24.22) The 25th Anniversary Drag Racing World Finals WEEKEND will take place October 1-2, 2022, at Western Kentucky’s award-winning venue – the Owensboro Convention Center. This is a full-service facility overlooking the scenic Ohio River in revitalized downtown Owensboro, KY. This event is slated to be a combination of competition and old school car audio meet up. Current dB Drag Racing competitors will accrue points to gain an invitation to compete in the World Finals.

The dBDRA is extending an invitation to present and past dB Drag Racing competitors, judges, teammates, manufacturers, friends, and family to be a part of this historic Old School Car Audio Meet Up! The event is anticipated to be a time where enthusiasts can “hang out” and reminisce about all things car audio. A hospitality suite, overlooking the Ohio River, will be open during the weekend to allow for people to catch up and share stories.

The Owensboro Convention Center is a world-class facility.

On Saturday evening, the after party will take place at a local Brewery near the Owensboro Convention Center. The party is a great time for competitors to get out of the lanes, have dinner and visit with everyone. The party will be catered by a local favorite, Smokehouse BBQ. Stereo King on the Dunes at the UTV Takeover 2022

COOS BAY, OR (06.29.22) – Stereo King was on site at the UTV Takeover in the Oregon Dunes National Recreational area for the sixth time. The 2022 UTV Takeover was in Coos Bay OR from June 22-26. Reports noted well over 3000 UTV’s were on site with the crowd of powersports enthusiasts topping 10,000.

*The Stereo King setup at the UTV Take Over 2022 was expansive.*

Kevin Cornutt, Stereo King GM, related, “The PowerSports category is very strong for our company. This year was our sixth year to exhibit at the UTV Takeover. We were very busy and had strong sales as we did installs on nearly 100 UTVs.”

*Motorsports enthusiasts pulled their UTVs up to the Stereo King Booth to check out adding tunes, lighting and more to their rides.*

Stereo King rolled into the event with a big U-Haul truck and 30’ trailer with Stereo King custom graphics. The booth was set up in vendor row with multiple tents and demo vehicles. “During the 5-day event run we did a ton or promoting with business cards, fliers, free stickers, shirts caps and more. We spent time with well over 1000 people in our booth. We offered onsite installation and worked under the lights into the night to complete jobs. Many Can Am’s and RZR’s were decked with Rockford Fosgate Stage 5 Kits,” Scotty Miles related.

*The installation area of the Stereo King set up was packed every day of UTV Take Over 2022.*

Continuing, Miles offered, “We set up quite a few side-x-side related jobs along with some daily usage vehicles and RV audio upgrades back at the stores too.”

Stereo King staff members on site at the UTV Take Over 2022 included Kevin Cornutt, Bethany Cornutt, Anthony Galster, and Scotty Miles up front. In the bay Corey Osterhousdt, Alec Osterhousdt, Jason Opzeeland, Jeff Hastings and Ryan Menham handled the installations.

*The 30’ Stereo King trailer with custom graphics provided even more visibility for the proactive 12volt retailer during the event.*

Stereo King crew members spent the nights at local motels in North Bend and wrapped their long days at in town spots that stayed open late to serve the hungry Stereo King crew.

Late in July Stereo King will head to the DuneFest for another major UTV related event. Stereo King operates 4 stores in the Portland area and one in Boise, ID.
