Modus Achieves Multiple Industry Firsts with Tesla Cybertruck Build

OXNARD, CA (05.16.25) – Modus, in collaboration with fabricator Jaren Digos of Delta Concepts, has achieved several industry firsts with its 2024 Tesla Cybertruck build. The project demonstrates Modus’ innovative PREACT Current Averaging Technology operating directly on Tesla’s 48V DC electrical system, marking a significant advancement in mobile audio integration with electric vehicles.

The installation delivers 6,000 watts (RMS) of audio power without requiring voltage inverters or additional batteries, a first for any Cybertruck audio system. This achievement was made possible through Modus’ patented PREACT technology in the new Mezzo amplifier line, which operates with unprecedented efficiency at higher voltages.

“Growing up around car audio my entire life, I learned a lot from watching industry veterans like my dad (Jason Digos, Modus Senior Sales Trainer), Tony D’Amore, and the team at DiamondBoxx push the boundaries of what’s possible,” said Jaren Digos of Delta Concepts. “Now, working with Modus on this Cybertruck project feels like everything’s coming full circle. When I first heard about PREACT technology and what it could do with Tesla’s 48-volt system, I knew this was a chance to do something that hadn’t been done before.”

The build features the first-ever Cybertruck “blow-through” subwoofer design. Four 12-inch Modus Apex AXW-12 subwoofers are housed in a 7.5 cubic foot ported enclosure, integrated into the vehicle’s “vault” and ported directly into the cabin. This design maintains the Cybertruck’s utility while delivering exceptional bass response.

The amplifier installation, housed in the “frunk”, consists of two 8-channel MZA-8 and two MZA-1 mono amplifiers mounted on a custom-fabricated steel rack. The rack is secured to existing factory mounting points and includes current and voltage meters, allowing real-time monitoring of the system’s power consumption.

Perhaps most notable is the system’s wiring. The minimal current draw and high input voltage efficiency allowed the use of 14AWG power and ground wire to the amplifiers, which is a significant departure from traditional high-power audio systems that require much larger gauge wiring.

“Watching Jaren take what he learned growing up in this industry and apply it to a project like this is pretty special,” added Jason Digos. “He came to me with this idea for the Cybertruck, and I knew right away it would showcase exactly what makes Modus different. As both a father and someone who’s dedicated their career to car audio, seeing him push the boundaries of what’s possible with our technology is something that I’ll never forget.”

The Modus Cybertruck debuted during the Modus brand launch event in March 2025. It will be featured in upcoming industry events and technical demonstrations throughout 2025, showcasing the practical applications of Modus’ breakthrough technologies in the emerging electric vehicle market.

The SSR Distributors Show Dallas Is Sunday May 18th

DALLAS, TX (05.15.25) – The SSR Distributors show is set to roll in Dallas on Sunday, May 18th. From 10 AM to 5 PM attendees will be able to check out a Car Show, spend time in over 40 vendor booths, attend free trainings and take advantage of many show specials plus opportunities to win raffle items. This is a family friendly event and there will be delicious food from food trucks for all to enjoy.

As set up was underway Arturo Macias (L) and Manny Castillo are holding some new band inventory in front of the Auto Tech and Limitless displays on the show floor.

Previous distributor shows this spring have been well attended with dealers taking advantage of specials and spending time with one another networking on the show floors. With all of the uncertainty caused by tariffs dealers have taken advantage of the opportunity to stock up on specials to drive business through the upcoming summer season.

Team Progressive Kicked Off The 10th Anniversary Of The Rock The House Tour

GRAND RAPIDS/ DETROIT, MI (05.12.25) – The Progressive Group powers the Annual Rock The House Tour and the 2025 Tour got off to a fast start in Grand Rapids on Tuesday May 6th and Detroit on Thursday May 8th. At both events there were strong specials, networking with staff and vendors along with entertainment and delicious food.

Jason Dubie, Director of Business-Midwest, related “We had strong turnouts at both events. At each event dealers from a couple hours away hit the road to attend the Rock The House event.”

Early Tuesday morning all was set with specials stacked on tables in the warehouse with large banners hanging from the shelves. As soon as the doors opened dealers began to arrive to check out specials with staff members Keedan Hoezee, Dan Krieter, Nick Hoffman, Nick Klaassen and Jaden Campbell. Team Progressive has strong relations with Kenwood, Rockford Fosgate, VOXX, Sirius XM, Escort, Metra, Jensen, Stinger/Audio Control and ATG. The deals were strong and dealers took advantage of the deals across the board.

The day wrapped with a cookout with burgers and brats on the grille as all spent time networking with vendors and fellow dealers and friends.

We wrapped the day with delicious tacos from the Real Taco food truck” Dubie related.

The day in Detroit wrapped with nearly 90 people enjoying delicious tacos from the Real Taco truck.

The Team Progressive Rock The House Tour continues this week in Denver and Salt Lake on Wednesday May 15th. The rock The House Tour continues in Kansas City May 21st, Pacific Northwest June 12th and Phoenix of October 16th. Tour stops in Tampa, Ft Lauderdale and Atlanta to be announced.
