PowerBass Now Shipping New 3XL 8” Subwoofers

ONTARIO, CA (06.12.2020) – Making the best even better is what PowerBass engineers accomplished for the newly redesigned 3XL subwoofer series. Combining a new bold look with the innovation that the 3XL series is known for, PowerBass created their most accomplished High Output Subwoofer to date.

The 3XL series has been designed to withstand the extreme heat that the new generation Class “D” amplifiers create. Class “D” amplifiers heat up the woofers voice coil two to three times hotter and faster than a conventional class A/B amplifier. This calls for Xtreme measures and special parts to classify these as a true “Class D Subwoofer.” But hey, this is PowerBass. We have it under control.

First, they use industrial assembly glues that are made in the USA that handle this excessive heat that would normally tear a conventional subwoofer apart. Then there is perimeter venting to allow air movement over the voice coil built into the custom cut, cast aluminum basket. The basket works as a strong foundation for their heavy duty non-pressed raw pulp paper cone and redesigned inverted PBX dust cap.

The 3XL 8″ Subwoofers all feature 2.5” HD BASV voice coil formers high temperature voice coil winding to help dissipate heat. To allow full movement of the cone, we utilize an ultra high roll foam surround that increases the cone area for higher output along with linear cone stability throughout the subwoofers peak excursion.

To make sure high voltages from the amplifier reach the subwoofers, they designed the new square spring loaded nickel plated push terminals and incorporated FEA optimized Xtra Xtra large double stacked magnets to handle the high power these subwoofers are designed for.

3XL Subwoofers are available in 8″, 12” and 15” sizes in either dual 1-OHM or dual 2-OHM versions to maximize your amplifiers power.

  • 8″ Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer
  • 500 watt RMS/750 Watts Max
  • DDC Pressed Paper Cone
  • High Roll Foam Surround
  • 2.5” Vented HD BASV Voice Coil Former
  • Perimeter Aero-Vent Voice Coil Cooling Vents
  • Non Resonance DDC Coated Cast Aluminum Basket
  • XTRA XTRA Large Double Stacked Motor Structure
  • Square Spring Loaded Nickel Plated Push Terminals

The LvLuP Audio Party Tower Takes the Party to a New Level

BRAZORIA, TX (06.11.2020) – The LvLuP Audio Party Tower brings an entirely different element for music and entertainment to outdoor venues. On site the Audio Party Tower definitely takes the audio level up!

The LvLuP Audio Party Tower brings to life an idea Kevin Henry had in 2016 to bring great sounding music to outdoor venues….including stadiums and large outdoor areas. The Audio Party Tower is a self-contained system that can roll into a venue behind a SUV.

JL Audio and XS Power equipment pictured ready to be installed in a Audio Party Tower.

Kevin Henry offered “We are in the marine audio business with the Liquid Rides operation. With great open spaces on the water I thought about being able to play music at large areas on land. I thought about portable construction light towers and putting speaker pods on mast that raised the lights. After several prototypes and revisions we now have the LvLuP Audio Party Tower on sites with customers as far away as Boston, MA.”

The Audio Party Tower is self-contained within a modified top quality Allmand Light Tower rig. Multiple JL Audio amplifiers and six wake tower speakers get their juice from XS Power Batteries and power supply. Fully charged the Audio Party Tower will rock at a venue for 14 to 16 hours. The wake tower speaker mast can reach a height of 29’.  Plashlights are installed to highlight the Audio Party Tower after dark. The Audio Party Tower Allmand chassis is custom wrapped with eye catching automotive vinyl. A smartphone via BlueTooth is the source for audio played at the venue.

Brian Tolley, Team Sales, is the area representative for JL Audio and counts Liquid Rides as a key customer in the rep firm’s territory. Tolley related “Kevin came to us with this idea maybe 3 years ago. It was certainly a very interesting idea. We knew Kevin and Liquid Rides did top work so we presented the idea to JL Audio HQ. They approved the plan and we got started with the original model, called the BoomStick at the time. We hooked the BoomStick to the trailer hitch on the back of one of our vehicles and hit the road. We used it with dealers in our Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas territory. We also used it at a variety of trade shows and events like the Texas HeatWave. At all events it was a draw and crowd pleaser. We are happy to see Kevin taking his idea to the next level with the LvLuP Audio Party Tower.”

Joe Parker, Earmark Car Audio and Marine-Lewisville TX, related “We had one of the early BoomSticks at an event by the lake and it really performed and drew a crowd.”

Two Audio Party Tower systems headed to Boston MA on Friday, June 5th from Brazoria, TX.

Over the last year the Kevin was on site with his creation a number of boat shows plus a major rental convention in Orlando, FL.

Concluding, Kevin Henry related “We are really so positive about the future. We have a US Patent and are seeing some very strong interest from major rental companies. On Friday, June 5th, we loaded two of our Audio Party Towers onto a trailer for the trip to the Boston area. Reliable Equipment rents a wide variety of items to large construction companies in the area. One of our Audio Party Towers is now on display in their show floor.”

NAV-TV Announces ZEN-25 for BMW Vehicles with M.O.S.T. 25 Factory Amplified Infotainment Systems

CORAL SPRINGS, FL (06.11.2020) – NAV-TV Corp. has announced the ZEN-25 preamplifier interface for select 2004 to 2019 BMW vehicles with M.O.S.T. 25 factory amplified sound systems.

Traditional audio integration devices convert a high- level output from the factory radio or amplifier to low- level, or manipulate a fixed preamp level audio signal. However, this method relies on the factory radio or amplifier to perform the digital to analog conversion (D/A) and may lead to less than ideal sound quality. Unlike traditional devices, the ZEN-25 for BMW extracts the audio directly from the M.O.S.T. 25 digital audio stream and performs the D/A conversion internally. Utilizing a 32 bit floating point DSP and 44.1kHz 32 bit DAC, the ZEN-25 produces a 12 channel analog output at 17 volts peak-to-peak with an extremely low noise floor and a S/N Ratio of 114dB.

Utilizing the same processing power as NAV-TV’s competition-proven M650-GM, the ZEN-25 produces a completely flat audio output without any factory time delay or equalization, eliminating the need for summing devices, an audio correction DSP or the removal of the factory audio compensation microphones. Volume, Fade[1], Balance, Bass/Treble and the factory 7-band EQ are retained through the BMW factory radio and echo cancellation for the factory phone system is supported.

To maximize system flexibility, the ZEN-25 comes standard with a software suite that allows the user to assign warning chimes and phone audio to any channel they desire. The chime and phone volume are adjustable per channel and are independent from the audio stream. For use in BMW systems where a DSP is not installed, the ZEN-25 contains two different time alignment settings that can be selected through the factory Logic 7 button. This allows the user to assign two different optimum listening positions in the vehicle and, combined with the factory 7-band EQ, offers the user greater system tuning flexibility, at an affordable price.

For use with 3rd party digital sound processors[2], the ZEN-25 includes a variable TOSlink digital output which may be used simultaneously with the analog outputs, or by itself. For use with processors that support simultaneous TOSlink and analog audio inputs, the ZEN-25 allows the user to strip audio from any analog output, assign the TOSlink to either Front Fading or fixed, and to use the analog outputs to only mix in warning chimes. The variable digital output allows for the system volume to be controlled via the factory radio and steering wheel controls without the need to access any 3rd party controller.

In BMW vehicles that have the ability to play a DVD movie, The ZEN-25 supports Dolby and DTS 5.1 playback[3]. For system designs that do not include a center channel speaker, NAV-TV has enabled a “mix down” feature that puts the vocals in a Dolby or DTS encoded audio stream into the left and right front speakers while maintaining stereo separation.

The ZEN-25 (NTV-KIT969) for BMW is available and shipping now. For more information on the ZEN-25, or to place an order, please contact your NAV-TV sales representative at (866) 477-3336 (USA and Canada toll free) or +1(561) 955-9770 (International), or email our sales staff at sales@navtv.com.

Oracle Lighting Shipping New Sidetrack LED Lighting System for Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT Models

METAIRE, LA (06.10.2020) – Oracle Lighting has announced the new Sidetrack LED Lighting System for Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-2020) and Jeep Gladiator JT (2020) models is now shipping. The new system (Part5861-504) has an MSRP of $199.99.

“Our new Sidetrack LED Lighting System is a stylish and functional upgrade for Jeep Wrangler JL and Jeep Gladiator models,” said Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “This tactical-inspired body cladding is equipped with multi-function integrated LED lights that provide benefits to both driver and passengers.”

The light modules consist of a pair of injection-molded inserts that fit in the original body lines and contour the factory fender vent for a seamless look. Matte black panels provide an aggressive look that adds a rugged and tactical appearance to the Jeep. Installation requires no modification to the fender sheet metal, and the cladding simply applies with included VHB adhesive.

“The LED ‘Entry Light’ features high-output white LEDs which illuminate the area outside of the vehicle for the driver and passengers approaching the vehicle at night,” Hartenstein said. “This convenient feature allows the driver and passengers to identify puddles, potholes, and other hazards when entering and exiting the vehicle. The entry lights are connected to the vehicle’s dome light circuit so the entry lights will activate when the vehicle is unlocked, when the doors open, and can be manually turned on with the factory control knob.”

The LED “Turn Indicator” addresses a potential visibility issue with the US-spec Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator models which do not have a clear indicator on the side of the vehicle. This can be hazardous when changing lanes with a vehicle is positioned in the Jeep’s blind spot, and this blind spot is increased substantially on lifted vehicles. By adding a bright amber indicator in a clearly visible position, the Sidetrack provides a needed benefit for lifted Jeeps.
