Nakamichi Earns Hi Res Certification

LAS VEGAS, NV (11.04.2021) – SEMA Nakamichi a worldwide provider of aftermarket mobile electronics, today is unveiling its first Hi-Res piece of audio equipment. The Nakamichi NDST500A is a 12-channel Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with built-in amplifier.

It uses proprietary software that allows the processor to be programmed using a PC to tune any sound system to the characteristics of the vehicle. A DSP compensates for the less then ideal speaker locations and related sound wave reflections that make up the geography of an automotive interior. The heart of the NDST500A is the Analog Devices ADAU1452 audio processing IC. The Sigma DSP chip architecture is optimized for efficient audio processing.

Robin McNeal, National Sales Manager, is pictured in the amazing new Nakamichi booth (12465) in the North Hall with the NDST500A 12-channel DSP featuring a built-in amplifier.

The Hi-Res name and logo belong to the Japanese Audio Society (JAS). Only Japanese audio brands are granted membership into the JAS. Nakamichi Research Corporation Ltd was founded by Etsuro Nakamichi in Tokyo, Japan in 1948.

The NDS500T is the first of several new products Nakamichi will offer to earn the Hi-Res stamp of approval.

With more than 1,300 exhibiting companies and 51,000 buyers confirmed to date, this year’s SEMA Show – which runs through November 5 – marks the first full-facility event to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center since the pandemic.

“There is a lot of pent-up demand to reconnect in person,” said SEMA VP of Events Tom Gattuso. “Buyers are excited to see what’s new in the industry, and manufacturers are anxious to showcase what they’ve been working on for the past two years. The energy and passion on the Show floor is tremendous.”

Exhibitors wasted no time to showcase their new products and make industry announcements, as customers enthusiastically navigated the convention center seeking to develop new partnerships and strengthen existing ones.

This year’s SEMA Show – which runs through November 5 – marks the first full-facility event to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center since the pandemic.

“We believe in the value of the SEMA Show and are excited to see our industry colleagues for the first time in two years,” said OPTIMA Batteries Director of Marketing Cameron Douglass. “We’re thrilled we were able to bring the excitement of the OUSCI race to the Show and have already reconnected with many of our buyers, distributors and partners, setting the stage for a great week.”

MTX Expands Line-up of Universal Audio Kits with NewOptions and Configurations

PHOENIX, AZ (11.03.2021) – MTX Audio, of the MiTek Electronics and Communications Group, is updating and expanding their line-up of universal audio kits for off-road and UTV applications.

To date, MTX has offered five different kits in the category with their ORV and BORV series kits These came in two and four speaker configurations using the MUD65PL wake speakers and featured a choice of a Bluetooth connected media controller, the MUDBTRC, or interconnection options with a 3.5mm aux cable or a pair of RCAs allowing the user to connect to an existing source or media device. All kits also included the MUD100.2 2-channel amplifier for power as well as a complete power kit and speaker wire.

The new kit offering will expand the family to a total of twelve available kits in six different two and four speaker configurations. One major change is in the source unit options. Besides continuing to offer kits featuring the MUDBTRC Bluetooth controller, they are adding two additional variations, one featuring the AWMC3 media receiver and the other with the MUDBTSW Bluetooth switch. The AWMC3 features a 3-inch full color screen with AM/FM radio, auxiliary input, Bluetooth connectivity and is expandable with SiriusXM satellite radio. The MUDBTSW has an integrated auxiliary input and Bluetooth connectivity and is designed to fit in the standard switch knockout of most side-by-side vehicles.

For interconnection options, the 3.5mm auxiliary and RCA add-on kits will continue while adding a new configuration designed for Polaris vehicles featuring their Ride Command system. This kit will use the PRCAA Ride Command adapter to allow the user a plug and play option for quickly interconnecting to the factory output. This lets the customer connect and play their audio through the Ride Command console.

“Our goal is to provide customers complete audio solutions for their UTV and while our vehicle specific systems are the ultimate choice, we realize there are dozens of other UTV models in the market that don’t have this option.”, said Director of Sales and Marketing, Jason Fickas. “Outside of our overhead systems, our current family of universal kits has been very successful and based on consumer feedback, we’re now expanding the family from five options to twelve. Whether you’re adding on to you existing system or Ride Command or prefer to pick from several source unit options, you’re sure to find a kit that suits your style and still comes with everything you need for installation all in one box. High performance made simple.”

The new Universal audio kits are slated to start shipping in mid-November and more information can be found on their website at www.MTX.com.

Oracle Lighting Features Sidetrack LED Lighting System for Jeep Wrangler JK During 2021 SEMA Expo

See Oracle Lighting in booth #C20547

METAIRIE, LA (11.02.2021) – Oracle Lighting will feature its recently patented Sidetrack LED Lighting System for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK (p/n 5873-504) during the 2021 SEMA Show, held in Las Vegas, Nev. from Nov. 2-5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #C20547. Now shipping, the Sidetrack LED Lighting System has an MSRP of $199.95 and is also available for JL/JT (p/n 5861-504).

“ORACLE Lighting’s Sidetrack LED Lighting System is a stylish and functional upgrade for Jeep Wrangler JK models,” said Justin Hartenstein, Oracle Lighting director of development. “This tactical-inspired body cladding is equipped with multi-function integrated LED lights that provide benefits to both driver and passengers.”

The light modules consist of a pair of injection-molded inserts that fit in the original body lines for a seamless look with an option to create a functional fender vent. Matte black panels provide an aggressive look that adds a rugged and tactical appearance to the Jeep. Installation requires no modification to the fender sheet metal…the cladding simply applies with included VHB adhesive.

The LED “Entry Light” features high-output white LEDs which is a side-light intended to illuminate the area outside of the vehicle for the driver and passengers approaching the vehicle at night. This convenient feature allows the driver and passengers to identify puddles, potholes, and other hazards when entering and exiting the vehicle. The entry lights are connected to the vehicle’s dome light circuit so the entry lights will activate when the vehicle is unlocked, when the doors open, and can be manually turned on with the factory control knob.

The LED “Turn Indicator” addresses a potential safety issue with the U.S.-spec Jeep Wrangler JK models which do not have a clear indicator on the side of the vehicle. This can be inconvenient when changing lanes with a vehicle is positioned in the Jeep’s blind spot…this blind spot is increased substantially on lifted vehicles. By adding a bright amber indicator in a clearly visible position, the Sidetrack provides a needed visibility benefit for lifted Jeeps.

Louisiana-based Oracle Lighting has been designing innovative lighting products and technologies for the automotive/12Volt, powersports, motorcycle, and marine markets since 1999. Oracle’s philosophy is this: in today’s world of fly-by-night vendors, we think it is important to partner with businesses that you can trust to be there for you today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
