Surf City Soundoff Raises Over $20,000 for Angels Anonymous in Lincoln City

LINCOLN CITY, OR (09.05.25) – The Surf City Soundoff roared to life on August 23–24, drawing car audio enthusiasts and the local community together for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and charity. The event, held at the Chinook Winds Casino Resort, attracted over 100 IASCA competition vehicles from across the region, showcasing some of the most powerful and finely tuned car audio systems in the Northwest.

The Chinook Winds Casino Resort grounds were packed.

The highlight of the weekend wasn’t just the thunderous bass and crisp sound quality—it was the generosity of the community. Through entry fees, sponsorships, and donations, the Surf City Soundoff successfully raised $20,968 in support of Angels Anonymous, a local nonprofit dedicated to assisting individuals and families in crisis within Lincoln County. More than 60 sponsors supported the event, with many setting up as vendors and bringing demo vehicles.

Competitors vehicles stretched across the grounds.

“Surf City Soundoff has always been about more than just cars and sound systems—it’s about people,” said Travis Chin, IASCA Worldwide president. “We are incredibly proud of the support shown by our competitors, sponsors, and the community. Together, we made a real difference for Angels Anonymous.”

Competitors gathered as the event wrapped during the award ceremony.

The competition featured IASCA Sound Quality and SPL formats as well as dB DRA SPL, giving both seasoned competitors and newcomers the chance to showcase their builds. With more than 100 vehicles entered, the event became one of the largest car audio gatherings in the region, drawing thousands of spectators eager to experience the energy, innovation, and passion of the sport. Saturday also featured the Surf City Car Show, with hundreds of classic cars filling the main lot.

Local businesses and volunteers played a critical role in making the weekend a success, from event setup and judging to supporting hospitality for attendees.

As the sound of the last bass note faded into the ocean breeze, the 2025 Surf City Soundoff cemented its place as both a premier competition and a force for good in the community. The 2026 Surf City Soundoff is scheduled for August 22–23, 2026.
