Retro Manufacturing’s Newport is Back by Popular Demand

HENDERSON, NV (11.05.2021) – Retro Manufacturing has announced the return of their Newport 1.5 DIN radio for 1980s to early 2000s GM, Ford, and Mopar vehicles. The Newport was wildly popular when it was first released back in 2014 as it was the only full din and a half radio that resembled the factory radios for these vehicles. The full 1.5 DIN (7” x 3”) size gives customers a much better option than using a standard DIN (7” x 2”) radio that looks out of place in a larger opening. The Newport includes a patented mounting kit and wiring harness that makes the installation a breeze.

The RetroSound Newport is back and on display in the company’s Central Hall booth. See Joe Rock for more.

The Newport is compatible with all RetroSound Radio Motors giving classic car fans all the features of a modern car stereo. Available features include built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calls and audio streaming, Made for iPod/iPhone compatibility,USB inputs for flash drives and media devices, and non-volatile memory. A 32,000 color digital display gives users the option to customize the display color to match their gauges and browse through media by artist, song title, or album. The Newport has a selectable AM/FM Tuner allowing the user to select between USA, EUR, AUS, JAP, and RUS turner frequencies with 30pre-sets to store favorite stations.

A powerful 300-watt built-in amplifier provides plenty of power over 4 channels along with RCA pre-outs and a subwoofer output for customers looking to expand their audio system further. The Newport is available with SiriusXM, connecting directly to an SXV300V1 Connect VehicleTuner (sold separately) without the need for special adapters or cables. TheSXV300V1 tuner adds SiriusXM broadcasts to your RetroSound radio with artist, channel, and song information shown directly on the radios display. The Newport is also available with HD Radio technology and DAB+ for superior radio reception.

MSRP on the Newport starts at $224.99 and will be available November 2021 at www.retromanufacturing.com.
