ZANESVILLE, OH (07.29.22) – On Sunday, July 24th, the Speedway Slam took place at the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville. The event included a Car and Bike Show presented by Custom Vehicles of Zanesville. A MECA Car Audio Competition was also on site.

The quality and wide range of the cars in the show was very impressive. Over the years the store had gotten away from this type of event. After seeing the turnout for this event we are already planning for next year.”

Rusty North, End Result, was onsite supporting Custom Vehicle’s efforts with the Memphis Audio and Race Sport Lighting. North related “Matt and his team did a great job with the layout. Also, Race Sport Lighting was spotlighted. The new Solar lights for the cab of pickups opened eyes for that new product that just recently hit retail.”

Summit Sound & Security Celebrated The Company’s 25th Anniversary

TWINSBURG, OH (07.27.22) – On Thursday, July 21st, Summit Sound & Security celebrated the company’s 25th Anniversary with a Car Show and Tent Sale. Multiple 12volt vendors, with demo vehicles and giveaways, added to fun filled event that ran from 9 AM until 6 PM.

Specials under the tent made the register ring during the event.

Summit Sound is located in a shopping plaza and the area was filled with a wide variety of show cars and vehicles… from classics to Slingshots and UTVs. The on site food truck added to the day for attendees.

Alpine had a major presence on site with a demo vehicle under the tent. Chris Reavis, Alpine Brand Specialist was on site and related, “The Summit was well attended and created a lot of excitement. Summit is an Alpine Style Center dealer and showcases the Alpine brand very well.”

The Alpine 4RUNNER was positioned and demoed by Chris Reavis.

This large banner brought attention to the upcoming event.

Steve McGaffee with Online AV was also in the house supporting the Alpine presence.

Sony was also on site with a demo vehicle and the KICKER brand was spotlighted by a loaded SxS provided by Davis Distribution.

25th Anniversary DB Drag Racing World Finals and Old School Meet Up

OWENSBORO, KY (07.26.22) – The 25th Anniversary Drag Racing World Finals WEEKEND will take place October 1-2, 2022, at Western Kentucky’s award-winning venue – the Owensboro Convention Center. This is a full-service facility overlooking the scenic Ohio River in revitalized downtown Owensboro, KY. This event is slated to be a combination of competition and old school meet up. Current dB Drag Racing competitors will accrue points to gain an invitation to compete in the World Finals.

The dBDRA is extending an invitation to present and past dB Drag Racing competitors, judges, teammates, manufacturers, friends, and family to be a part of this historic Old School Meet Up! The event is anticipated to be a time where enthusiasts can “hang out” and reminisce about all things car audio. A hospitality suite, overlooking the Ohio River, will be open during the weekend to allow for people to catch up and share stories.

On Saturday evening, the after party will take place at The Brew Bridge, a local Brewery near the Owensboro Convention Center. The party is a great time for competitors to get out of the lanes, have dinner and visit with everyone. The party will be catered by a local favorite, Smokehouse BBQ. KICKER has been celebrating work anniversaries since the early 1980s, and employees gather for an informal meeting each year to earn a gift and special wishes from KICKER President Steve Irby.

AUSTIN, TX (07.21.22) – The 2022 Custom Sounds & Tint Texas Heat Wave will fill the massive Travis County Expo in Austin Texas July 22nd thru 24th. This event supplies an opportunity for vehicle enthusiasts to show off their custom vehicles and compete against other enthusiasts for awards and cash prizes. If it has wheels it can be registered for the event. All makes and models ranging from Model A to 2022 are welcome!

Custom Sounds & Tint will have their best Audio Sale of the Year with products and displays from Focal, Kenwood, JVC, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Hertz and Pioneer in the air conditioned comfort of the large Customs Sounds building.

Custom Audio Hosted The 6th Annual Anna Shelter Car Show

ERIE, PA (07.20.22) – The area in front of the Custom Audio location in the West Ridge Plaza was filled with over 100 cars on Sunday, July 17th to benefit The Anna Shelter…before the rain came around 2 PM.

Custom Audio’s Sondralee Orengia related “Rain and car shows do not go well together. This past Sunday’s event was a reschedule from the original Anna Shelter Car Show date of Sunday, June 26th. That day the weather forecast called for rain and we rescheduled. This past Sunday the weather forecast was for scattered showers. When the rain started around 1 o’clock people buttoned up their rides and headed home.”

The West Ridge Plaza area in front of the Custom Audio store was packed.

A wide variety of show cars were spotlighted.

The Anna Shelter animal welfare organization in Erie PA was established in June of 2004. The organization will help dogs, cats, small animals… even horses, one animal at a time. During the Sunday event there were gift baskets, raffles, 50/50 opportunities, food trucks on site and dash plaques for 100 show cars.

Orengia continued “Cars started showing up early to beat the weather. In all we had just over 100 cars, trucks and vans show up for early fun before the rains came and shut down the event. Despite the condensed time the event raised close to $4000. for the Anna Shelter to further their important mission.”

Show cars were lined up next to the road in the West Ridge Plaza.

Matt Thompson greeted attendees and explained the Anna Shelter mission in front of Custom Audio.

On Sunday Custom Audio’s showroom was open and staff members engaged with enthusiasts about the wide variety of aftermarket 12volt products available today.

As an added bonus local television channel JET24 broadcast a news story Sunday evening.
