Sanford Sound Scores Big with the Alpine Experience Event

SANFORD, ME (06.12.23) – Sanford Sound hosted an Alpine Experience on Tuesday, June 6th. The Alpine Pickup rolled in with Colin Vargo, Alpine Brand Specialist, behind the wheel. Vargo was joined by Alpine Direct Representive Colette Beaudoin and the final setup for the event took place on the windy Tuesday. Nate Merrille, Sanford Sound representative from area distributor GoFast Solutions, was also in the house.

Jack Bogard, and the Sanford Sound crew, had the grounds in front of the store well prepared. In fact, Bogard’s classic Chevy pickup and Alpine banners were in place beginning May 24th. A custom-crafted Alpine surfboard was showcased on the side of the truck.

Sanford Sound began this Alpine graphic posts on April 29th and included 7 more posts before the June 6th event.

“The Alpine Experience event was a key promotion for us this summer. Therefore we started letting enthusiasts in Sanford know about the Alpine Experience at our store. The first post of the event on social media was actually on April 29th when we posted the Apline supplied graphic” Bogard related. The Alpine supplied Experience graphic was posted 8 times on Sanford Sound social media leading up to the June 6th event.

“We had many phone calls leading up to the event and people started showing up early Tuesday morning. Colin and Colette did at least 40 demos during the day with people seated in the Alpine demo truck. All were amazed when their demo was finished. We had asked peope to bring their favorite song for a demo. Those who did let us know their favorite song had never sounded like that as they heard something like a live concert” Bogard stated.

During the day sales were strong as customers made purchases. There was lunch from the grill and product raffles. More customers booked appoints and business continued from the event through the end of the week.

Since Sanford Sound opened in 1995, with Jack Bogard behind the wheel, the company has proactively worked to connect with consumers and organizations by hosting events in the store, in the store’s parking lot and grounds plus at off-site events. Today, Sanford Sound is the established store for audio in-vehicle, Powersports, marine and motorcycles. Home AV and office applications are also on the menu.

After a long day and very successful event Colin and Colette flank Jack in the Sanford Sound showroom.

Sanford, ME is a town of just over 22,000. Over the past 25+ years the Sanford Sound has stretched well beyond the town’s borders throughout the region.

Superior Audio Sounds Wins RDV Prize on The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel 223

SHREVEPORT LA (06.03.23)  WTF…Win This Friday. Superior Audio Sounds won the RDV prize on the 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel 223 on Friday morning, June 9th.

It was terrific to get back into the 12volt Central Studios again and beginning to roll the 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel after the 2 months pause following the fall on Monday morning April 3rd.

The 12volt Spin-to-Win Wheel was created to bring an element of fun to the 12volt industry. The weekly 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel is now spinning in Year 5.

The 12volt Spin-To-Win Wheel rolled for 223rd time on Friday morning June 9th. The Wheel landed on the RDV Automotive Technology space and the Superior Audio Sounds slip was drawn from the jar. An Instagram post of the winning slip was posted. A video of the wheel spin was also posted.

We reached out to the lucky retailer in San Angelo TX and spoke with Ken Smith. He was very happy to hear the news and looks forward to receiving the RDV prize. Ken said business is rockin’ at his store. He is also looking forward to the brisket that is on the grill outside the install bay. He said “It sure smells good!”

Real Audio Bike And Car Show Spotlights The SlingShot Takeover

ERIE, PA (06.08.23) – Real Audio continued to connect with area enthusiasts on Friday and Saturday, June 2nd and 3rd. The Bike and Car Show also included spotlighting the hot SlingShot that is seeing growth in the audio and lighting categories with 12volt retailers across the US.

Kyle Klaus, Real Audio owner, related “We are seeing growing consumer interest in owning SlingShots. Traditional 12volt audio and lighting products are natural add-ons for SlingShot and other 3 wheel vehicles. We are now doing a couple a month and the owners are not looking for a basic deck and a couple of speakers.”

Real Audio consistently develops events that connect with Erie community members. Those events also draw enthusiast from other cities. As part of the Bike and Car Show a raffle for a loaded Toy Jeep was on the schedule. Over 300 raffle tickets were sold and the proceeds were presented to Blayke who is a young girl fighting cancer. Grant Miller, who owns a local business, was the winner of the Toy Jeep loaded with 4 DB Drive 4” speakers and a small footprint amp with Bluetooth.

“Certainly the ride through the streets of Erie was a highlight of the event filled weekend. To see 40 or more SlingShots driving single file stretching over the top of the next hill was very cool. Over the course of the event connecting with enthusiasts and having them see products and projects at the store was very positive. Seems when people come into the store they will see something they didn’t know was available” Klaus commented.

Since opening the new location in September of 2022 business has been strong and increasing. Dramatic lighting on the store’s exterior certainly continues the Real Audio branding message through the night hours.

SlingShot Takeover events are taking place in cities across the US. House Of Sound, Houston-based, sent a crew of 4 pulling a trailer on the 550 mile trip for the Kansas City SlingFest June 2nd. The House of Sound crew showcased one of the company’s award winning SlingShots and offered onsite installations.

LOUISVILLE, KY (06.07.23) – Early Friday morning, June 2nd, the Alpine Experience RAM and event tent were in place out front at Xtreme Auto Sound. Shortly after enthusiasts and Jeepers started to arrive to upgrade the audio in their rides.

Tony Zagata, Xtreme owner, related “Chris had all in place with demos outside and our crew had Alpine products stacked on the floor and on tables in our showroom. We have 7 members on our team and all we were busy throughout the day.”

Chris Reavis offered “It was definitely a super busy day. On several occasions I saw Tony and staff members carrying stacks of Alpine products back to the shop for installations.”

Several full Alpine systems were installed during the day. Zagata commented “We have developed a loyal following of Jeepers in the area. They are a community and share good experiences with fellow Jeepers which leads to business with their community.”

The large installation shop was very busy throughout the day.

This year Xtreme Auto Sound is celebrating 20 years in Louisiville. Over those two decades the company has grown into a leading 12volt retailer in the area. The showroom in the 8,000 sq ft location spotlights the Alpine brand. The large installation area is well organized and definitely lets customers know their rides will be well taken care of during an installation.

KICKER Returns to Slamology for 20th Anniversary

KICKER Marine Audio Joins Formula 1 Powerboat Championship Official Series Audio Sponsor

STILLWATER, OK (06.01.23) – KICKER Marine Audio will join the Formula 1 Powerboat Championship at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, June 1-3, 2023 as part of the LOTO Powerfest event. In conjunction with OPA (Offshore Powerboat Association) the annual event will feature some of the fastest boats in the world, including offshore and circuit boats. The Powerfest excitement will take place in front of Shady Gators waterfront bar and Camden on the Lake Resort at the 7-mile marker.

“The performance boater that is drawn to this type of event is definitely the KICKER Marine Audio customer who expects the same kind of performance from his or her boat’s sound system,” says Jeremy Bale, Brand Manager, “We are pleased to partner with Formula 1 Powerboat on this and other events to bring KICKER into the sport. ‘Go Overboard’ is our marine slogan and that certainly fits the Formula 1 and Powerfest profile!” he adds.

F1 Race Ride Experience Boat

The Stillwater, OK-based company has been “Livin’ Loud” for 50 years and will be a welcomed addition to all the festivities planned in various locations. As the “Official Series Audio Partner,” KICKER will have an active display of its marine components and sound systems, participate in the Friday Night Street Party and will again add its sponsorship to “F1 Race Ride Experience” for the second consecutive year. The 2-seater pace boat for the race series is also used to provide rides to VIPs, dignitaries, media and sponsors, to help introduce the excitement of racing to the public. Promoted via social media and at the events, the rides share the thrill of boating at dragster-like speeds of over 100 mph and is used as an educational tool to introduce youth to the sport. KICKER Marine Audio’s logo will be placed on the boat and safety gear, providing excellent visibility throughout the race.

Tim Seebold, F1 Powerboats managing director, brings the F1 Series to his hometown of the Lake of the Ozarks where powerboating is the most popular summer activity. Seebold states, “I’m proud to bring our championship caliber powerboat racing home to the lake area and look forward to an exciting weekend of racing and entertainment. Feel the thrill of racing in the F1 Race Ride Experience!

Contrasting disciplines of Offshore Powerboat racing and F1 racing will complement each other, treating fans to the nonstop racing action. The larger offshore boats from 30’-50’ long, are capable of speeds of over 180 mph on a larger racecourse, while the F1 boats are 17’ agile Formula boats, reaching speeds of 120 mph and are capable of cornering while pulling over 5 G’s on the smaller course set up off Lazy Gators Point.

Spectators will have the opportunity to view all the racing action from land and water. Land viewing and VIP locations are at both Shady Gators and Camden on the Lake Resort. Boaters can view on the water outside of the racecourse’s safety zone, stretching between the 4 and 7-mile markers.

The events kick off at the Driver Registration/Meet and Greet Party at Horseshoe Bend Restaurant, located off Hwy HH Thursday evening at 6 PM. Friday’s activities start at 8 AM in the teams’ pit and vendor booth area. The impressive display of horsepower at the Friday Night Street Party allows fans to get up close and personal with the drivers, teams, and colorful race boats. Saturday begins with 9 AM testing, Opening Ceremonies at 11 AM, followed by racing which concludes just after 4 PM. The awards ceremony party will wrap the event at 6 PM at The Encore Lakeside Grill and Sky Bar Restaurant.
