For R&D Distributing Al Congdon related “The show was well attended with solid dealer traffic from open to close. The 12volt seminars were well attended also with dealers seeming to be anxious to learn about new products. All in all the Grand Rapids ‘Rock the House’ was an excellent event.”

Kenwood’s Tim Hill got the morning sessions underway with a session spotlighting the new STZ Motorsports Camera product.

Dealers were definitely happy to be at an in-person event and network with factory staff members on site plus fellow retailers from across the area.”

SEATTLE, WA (05.11.22) – The PNWCEE 2022 Mobile Electronics Expo, featuring Mobile Electronics, is rolling Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9th-11th, at the Doubletree by Hilton at South Center in Seattle, WA.
This year the event kicked off with a special Monday evening launch event themed ‘Harley Davidson Audio Install Deconstruction’ presented by Sam Walker and Ryan Klein as they deconstruct Walker’s Harley Davidson Road Glide with a premium aftermarket audio system build on the bike.

Mark Giovannetti stated, “Sam and Ryan did a great job showing dealers the ins-and-outs of doing motorcycle installs the right way. The room was packed and we had to bring in more and more snacks for attendees. The ‘Deconstruction’ of Sam’s Harley was such a positive kick start for the PNWCEE 2022. Dan and I couldn’t be happier.”
“My Harley Road Glide is loaded with Diamond Audio and Cerwin Vega products. Lighting and other aftermarket products also. During the session Ryan and I covered best practices, along with the ins and outs of motorcycle audio, while we deconstructed the bike and put it back together.” The session also covered amp tuning plus DSP integration, Walker related.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s action features factory and industry training events that run at 9 AM in rooms off the show floor. The Expo Showroom opened at 10AM both days with an amazing number of vendors displaying their latest products.
On Tuesday Travis Chin, from IASCA, was on site. Dealers and their customers cranked up their rides for a TEST THE BEST event outside with Travis judging the entries and 3 top winners to receive awards. The Doubletree provided a large outdoor space for this activity.
Concluding, Giovannetti offered, “We are right in the middle of the PNWCEE 2022 event. The dealer turnout is strong and vendors have been very supportive with booths on the showroom floor and conducting training sessions. We look forward to a strong finish to this year’s event and look forward to PNWCEE 2023.”

Phelps offered “The hours were 9AM to 7PM and we had brats, burgers, beer and soft drinks available from noon to 6PM. The new grille worked out great. We also gift bags, special pricing for those attending plus raffles for cool prizes. Also, a number of factory reps and R&D staff members engaged with dealers about products at The Rock the House event.”
Contining Phelps related “Well before the 9AM opening there were dealers waiting outside. Dealers in the MINK States were really excited to attend the R&D in-person show. We had dealers from Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and Western Kansas plus dealers from across the ‘Show Me’ state. Some of the dealers drove 300 miles each way to attend the show.”
R&D staff members were busy throughout the day pulling orders for dealers.

Between April 24 through May 1st, tens of thousands of participants in their Wranglers conquered the roadways in Daytona Beach. Jeep Beach “Jeepers” enjoyed a multitude of activities in this weeklong event. Across the county, trail riding, scavenger hunts, a 5k run on the beach, food truck festivals, a tour of the Motorsports Hall of Fame; Vendor parties at the Hard Rock and a miles-long parade of Wranglers Sunday morning, were of the most impressive events.

On Wednesday night at the Daytona International Speedway, Soundcrafters, Daytona’s Car Audio Powerhouse, in conjunction with IASCA, kicked off Jeep Beach’s Tiki Tailgate party. A packed house of Show and Shine Jeeps,Vendors and Sound & Light competitors dominated the lot flanking International Speedway Blvd. The 3rd annual Jeep Beats and JeepGlo Sound and Light competitions was judged by Terry Floyd of Soundoff Technologies, along with IASCA Judges Sammy Vega, Tony Pasquale and IASCA President Travis Chin; the judging was completed without a single glitch.
Jeepers tested their skills in the obstacle course of the Speedway infield.
On Friday and Saturday inside the Speedway, preliminary figures reveal more than 230 Vendors, over 60,000 spectators and some 10,000 Jeeps lined the DIS infield. Spectators seated in bleachers viewed Jeepers hurdling over thousands of pounds of dirt and busted-up concrete highway barriers, navigating the obstacle course. Jeep Beach even made a tiny obstacle course for the kiddies that could drive power wheel jeeps over dirt mounts! Other entertaining events included live music, festival food trucks, a new Jeep raffle and more.
Record crowds at the Speedway dominated the mile-long Vendor Midway with manufacturer displays in full regalia. Soundcrafters’ team, in a well-stocked booth, advised consumers on suitable products to purchase culminating in record sales. Soundcrafters’ owner Paul Papadeas conducted an educational seminar with Q&A, speaking about the Wrangler’s acoustical environment and protocols that consumers should know to choose the right components.
