SHREVEPORT, LA (01.23.23) – There were 5 large events that took place across the U.S. this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday weekend, January 20/21/22. The 12volt Central Studios highlighted each of those events and their positive contributions to the overall 12volt industry with social media posts over the weekend..

The events spotlighted were the AMA KICKER Arenacross in Guthrie OK, ARC Audio Dealer Open House in Modesto CA, The Parts Unlimited NVP Product EXPO in Louisville KY, Heatwave Tour in Rockdale TX and the World of Wheels in Pittsburg where retailer Team Nutz and the Mon Valley Career Technology Center amazed attendees with LIVE installations and presentations of great project vehicles. Below we highlight each event and plan detailed articles covering each event during this week.

The AMA Kicker Arenacross hit the track in Guthrie OK on Friday evening, January 20th. The dirt track at the Lazy E Arena is one of the longest of the circuit and riders were definitely flying high as they flew across the mounds. Lorin Morrell orchestrated Kicker’s presence at the event with booth set up and activities. “The pre-race Pit Party was once a hit with all. The racing was strong as the riders navigated the longer track gave the crowd a lot of memories. It was super to have KICKER retailer Audio Midwest at the event to connect with members of the crowd” Morrell stated.

Audio Midwest showed and demoed the company’s loaded custom Mustang that is Livin’Loud with KICKER products. Rob Clason, owner of Audio Midwest’s 2 area stores, related “KICKER is a premier brand at our stores and to participate with KICKER at the AMA Arenacross was terrific. We met with crowd members at the Pit Party and Lorin directed attendees to our booth when people asked questions about KICKER or car audio products. The Arenacross schedule calls for events at the Lazy E in Guthrie on back to back Fridays. We will definitely be back this coming Friday with a Jeep demo. We also anticipate seeing people from this past Friday in our stores this week.”
The AMA Kicker Arenacross series has expanded the series to 14 events this year. Guthrie is a mere 33 miles from the KICKER World HQ in Stillwater OK.

ARC Audio hosted a Dealer Open House at the company’s Modesto CA HQ Saturday and Sunday January 21/22. Scott Baughman, Reliable Product Marketing firm Principal stated “This event was a strong event with ARC Audio dealers in the house. With COVID It been a few years since an event like this. Dealers saw new products and reconnected with other area retailers. Brian Mitchell conducted product sessions covering the ARC Audio DSP and PS8 pro software. All definitely enjoyed special tacos. There was no rain in the area so we also all finally enjoyed a sunny sky.”

Parts Unlimited hosted the NVP EXPO in Louisville KY January 21and 22. Patrick Brooks highlighted the latest from NavAtlas as one of the many exhibitors on site after a 3 year hiatus of the event. KICKER was also in the house showcasing the latest in the Livin’Loud product lineup. Lori Boyer, Joe Gross and Carlos Jimenez traveled from KICKER HQ in Stillwater OK. The NVP Expo expanded this year as the event increased over 40% in size from the previous event and all exhibits were on one level.

The HeatWave Tour presented the Texas Showdown Freedom Rally Custom Truck and Car Show January20/21/22 in Rockdale TX. David MacDonald related “This years event was strong in spite of not so good weather. The sound-off component of the Freedom Rally generated a lot of buzz across the area. We have so many components to this event with the Truck Show, Car Show and custom bicycle show. The chili cook-off added to all the excitement in the air at our event.”

The last of the Five events was the World of Wheels and the David Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburg. Team Nutz was on site with a 5,000 foot booth. Ed Nuttall and a staff of 20 worked the event with 18 demo vehicles and multiple product displays. LIVE on site installations took place including leather seats, vinyl wrap, paint correction and more.

Nuttall related “People really turned out for the World of Wheels event this weekend. On Saturday afternoon the management restricted entrance as the center reached capacity. Action was also good on Sunday. As the event wrapped Sunday afternoon Team Nutz had collected 18 awards for our cars at the event. Ten of the awards were 1st Place awards. Overall an outstanding World of Wheels 2023 as attendance topped 30,000.”
In addition the Mon Valley Career Technical Center had a great event. The team lead by Chris Mance, CTC Automotive Technical Instructor, traveled 40 miles to set up and participate with a large booth. Buses, trailers and cars brought 45 students, booth setup supplies and 8 demo vehicles to work their booth and connect with a large number of automotive aftermarket brands and companies that displayed on the event floor.

The Mon Valley CTC team also collected an impressive number of awards including six first place awards. Mon Valley CTC’s large booth and the Team Nutz booths were across the aisle from each other.

The 12volt Central Studios staff members want to thank all companies and individuals that traveled this past weekend to showcased their brands and companies. We truly know first hand how much time, energy and dedication that requires….Not to mention the travel aggravations and funds required to make it happen.
