COSTA MESA, CA (09.20.2021) – The Sand Sport Super Show, Friday-Sunday September 17-19, was the Mecca for motorsports enthusiasts who like to play and race in the sand. Since 1999 the Sand Sport Super Show has been the biggest and most exciting dune and dirt sports expo in the world. 2021 was reported be be the largest to date as hundreds of exhibitors and 20,000 plus attendees came together at the 130 acre OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa to see the latest vehicles, demos, gear and accessories for motorsports.
Key 12volt vendors with a strong presence in the motorsports category were on site including KICKER, PowerBass, SSV Works, MB Quart, MTX Audio and Rockford Fosgate.

The KICKER booth included a partnership with area retailer Uncensored Motorsports from Temecula CA. Riley Murphy, with area rep firm Murphco was on site and stated, the show was great. We were really slammed on Saturday. Seeing so many enthusiastic attendees was terrific. Lorin Morrell, Maddog Media, coordinated the event for KICKER as corporate travels have been curtailed with the resurgence of the pandemic. Initially the KICKER XRV, the rolling 82’ showroom and Boom Room, was set to be Livin’Loud, at the event.
PowerBass was set with a CES type booth that showcased the company’s broad offering of motorsports related products. In the booth a decked Yamaha side-by-side and Harley-Davidson bike grabbed attention along with product displays. Erik Harbour, Dave Myers and Enrique Avalos led the team along with Meny. The Sarah’s model team was in the booth over the weekend.


Harbour stated “The show had a ton traffic especially all day Saturday. In our booth the new XL-50 V2 Series Soundbars really grabbed attention. The show people said they had more registrations than ever for tickets sold which made for a massive turnout. It was so good for us at PowerBass as a team to be in a crowd of excited people. It had been nearly 2 years since that had happened.”
SSV Works had a major presence at the event with several loaded side-by-sides in the company’s large corner booth. Trevor Kaplan, SSV Works CEO related “As the industry and the world work to get back to business, we could not be more excited to exhibit at the 2021 Sand Sports Super Show. In our booth we featured our top rides with our latest products in front of a huge crowd of off-road enthusiasts. Once again they were blown away as they experienced our market leading audio kits and products.”


MQ Quart had a wide selection of side-by-sides and by their big rig. At night the LED whips drew eyeballs from a football field away. Eddie Ramirez was on site with RPM Sales and passed along there was a very steady flow of traffic in the booth and people were lined up to get into the event.
Rockford Fosgate’s booth covered a large space and the company showed two new products that are set to ship in October. The All-in-One Audio Solution for select Polaris Ranger 2018-2022 Models along with a new 1000-Watt rear subwoofer solution for select Maverick X3 MAX debuted at the 2021 Sand Sports Super Show.

The MTX Audio booth was anchored by a semi surrounded by a number of demo vehicles and displays. Rico Felice led the MTX Audio team in Costa Mesa.
The motorsports and powersports categories had been growing very rapidly and the 2012 Sand Sports Super Show will definitely add high octane fuel to the categories.
